- William Shakespeare (baptized on April 26, 1564 to April 23, 1616) was an English playwright, actor and poet also known as the “Bard of Avon” and often called England’s national poet. Born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, he was an important member of the Lord Chamberlain’s Men company of theatrical players from roughly 1594 onward. Written records give little indication of the way in which Shakespeare’s professional life molded his artistry. All that can be deduced is that, in his 20 years as a playwright, Shakespeare wrote plays that capture the complete range of human emotion and conflict. #Biography

As part of the requirements for my English major, I was supposed to take a 17th century English class. I chose Shakespeare and I almost failed it. Luckily, the professor let me pass by just riding their research paper. Now that I am no longer under pressure, I use my free time to read. The Shakespeare plays that we had studied in class last year. I’m having such a good time with them. I can’t believe I’m saying it now. I understand that much better. I appreciate the plays more now, given that I am no longer obligated to study them. It helps to look back and then after a few months, if you don’t have to read them for school.

William Shakespeare is the person who wrote over 30 plays. His most famous play is Romeo and Juliet, which is a story about the Montagues and the Capulets going in a feud against each other. Romeo feels in love with Juliet, despite Romeo being a Montague and Juliet being a Capulet.
Debatable, have you heard "Hamlet"?
2023 and they still making us watch this
I’m not English native speaker but we learn his biography in the school and I love English poetry but it hard :))
ME TOOO🦋 KEEP GOING FOR SCHOOL 🥰🦋
Well, your English is still good! Keep studying!
I’m watching this because I’m an aspiring poet. I’m writing nonstop and sometimes would look up to different poet’s intriguing stories and compose my own allegory, sonnets, limericks and elegies
As a person who's more into writing in prose than in verse, it's always interesting to see how people that are the other way around think.
Feel like I’m the only one watching from pure curiosity
Me and you both

Wow, good on you. I have to do this for school :(

Shakespeare was married in 1582, not 1585 as the professor in the video states :/
This would be so much easier with subtitles. I have to search up how to spell everything.

I need the link of the complete copy of this. Please, where to watch the continuation of this?
An interesting theory (that's quite likely) was that Shakespeare assisted in the effort of translating the Latin Bible into English, so either way he's the most quoted writer of all time.
Shakespeare is my favourite.
ur stupid then
William shalespeare, one of the greatest authors of all time, born in straford upon avon, england, his actual bdate is uncertain but most scholars believe it be on or bear april 23rd, educated in kings school of stratford, son of alderman, married to anne hathaway(26 when he was 18), father of a daughter and a set of twins, one of which died(sone, hannet, moved to london by late 1580s and started writing and acting in early 1590s, by 1597, he authored about 15 of the 37 plays attributed to him including romeo and juliet, an unpopular fact about him was bout him being a great entrepreneur who knew his market and knew where to invest in the real estate
.
Hi there! Shakespeare is simply a topic of more researches because his legacy left an ocean of knowledge.
Thanks.

Ohh This Guy he is also popularly known as KALIDASA OF ENGLAND. Though he's no where near The GREAT KALIDASA Kālidāsa (fl. 4th-5th century CE) was a Classical Sanskrit author who is often considered ancient India's greatest poet and playwright. His plays and poetry are primarily based on the Vedas, the Rāmāyaṇa, the Mahābhārata and the Purāṇas.[1] His surviving works consist of three plays, two epic poems and two shorter poems.
Shakespeare is improvisation. In fact there were several writers behind this nickname.
It is depressing that when he had a birthday and probably a party he just died
