William Shakespeare: The Life and Times Of (FULL MOVIE)

  • There’s no name better known in the world of Literature than William Shakespeare, and whatever your feelings about such dramatic offerings as “Romeo and Juliet”, “Twelfth Night”, “King Lear”, “Othello”, “Hamlet”, “Julius Caesar”, “Taming of the Shrew” or “Macbeth”, Shakespeare is impossible to ignore. Thousands of books have been written about Shakespeare and even though he lived over four hundred years ago, biographers and literary critics are still inspired to wax lyrical upon the subject in the 21st Century. What’s more there are as few facts as ever to go on, and by the very nature of history, it’s unlikely that any new and dramatic evidence regarding the life and times of William Shakespeare will be revealed. So what exactly is it that makes Shakespeare such a fascinating subject for speculation by each new generation to discover him? After all, the image we all recognize of Shakespeare is the perfect picture of Elizabethan respectability and far from being anything out of the ordinary. However, like all good stories, dig a little deeper and your efforts will be rewarded. Shakespeare’s meteoric rise from the humblest of beginnings to worldwide fame tells a tale of tenacity that is inspirational to this day and as we follow in the Great Bard of Avon’s footsteps, where there’s a will, when you’re talking about William Shakespeare, there’s most definitely a way.

    He was christened on April 26th and was speculated to be born 3 days before that on April 23rd

    He went to london in the 1592
    He had written 9 plays by 1594
    He returned to live there by 1613 he did this because his son died and he was sick and going to die soon.
    He bought the second largest house in stratford when he moved back to stratford.
    Seating capacity is 873 with an additional 700 people able to stand in the yard
    The Theatre is believed to have been caused when a theatre cannon misfired and ignited the theatre's wooden areas and burnt the place

    The recent discovery of the Shroud of Avon proves without a doubt that Shakespeare wrote all those plays and sonnets.

    Some of Shakespeare's plays have been re-interpreted by two wonderful Australian writers. John Marsden wrote a novel called "Hamlet" in which he depicted Hamlet and Ophelia as two teenagers, desperately in love but at sea within a world of troubles, namely the court of Denmark with all its tensions and intrigues. Jackie French re-wrote the story in her book, "Ophelia, Queen of Denmark." She showed the way that women were influencing the outcomes behind the scenes and also re-interpreted the death of the King in an interesting way. She also wrote, "I am Juliet" focusing on Juliet's experience of the being in love with Romeo. Her book about Macbeth is fascinating. She is critical of Shakespeare for not sticking to the historical facts in his play about Macbeth but Shakespeare had to take account of the fact that he could be hung, drawn and quartered if the dictator, Queen Elizabeth 1, was in any way threatened. Elizabeth had learnt ruthlessness from her father who had executed her mother. That is probably why Shakespeare depicted Richard III as being a murderous tyrant. Shakespeare had to explain away why the crown had not been passed down through inheritance, an awkward fact because it really meant that Elizabeth 1 was not the legitimate queen, a fact he carefully glossed over. (It also means that Elizabeth II is not a legitimate queen.) It is surprising in this day and age that royal families still choose the next royal by means of inheritance. Most other jobs require qualifications and a carefully written job application and a job interview, rather than just saying, "Mum, has the job so I expect to get the crown." As it is, an entire family is subjected to endless scrutiny and lifetimes on display because one member of that family is forced to be a monarch.

      basically, John left a pile of literal shit (which the narrator calls a dung heap because its a bit of a nicer way of saying it) outside his neighbors house and was fined a shilling (about £13.73 in 2017 value, or a days wages) for doing so.
      he was a successful stratford glove maker so he was better than the rest of his family overall.

    • @OatmealDonk
      @OatmealDonk 5 лет назад +1

      this was an issue because at the time residents had to use that shitpile to dump their shit on. it was a legal thing...
      imagine everybody shits in a bucket nowadays, and then you designate a place on your road where everybody on the road has to empty their buckets. John was a dick and put the pile outside his neighbours house instead - breaking the law and getting him fined.

    The actual physical evidence of anything he ever wrote were four of his signatures that look more like scribbles with the different spellings for his name. There is a mountain of evidence pointing to Edward de vere being the actual writer. Almost all of the great Victorian writers and people such as Sigmund Freud and Mark Twain agree on this.

    • @Jeffhowardmeade
      @Jeffhowardmeade 6 лет назад

      Chris Riseley Daver8521 is convinced that Greene wasn't referring to Shakespeare but to actor Edward Alleyn. His reasoning is long and convoluted and pretty much relies upon the fact that Greene used the "beautified with our feathers" line on another occasion that probably wasn't referring to Alleyn, either.
      Basically, Anti-Strats are desperate to try to nitpick every bit of evidence for Shakespeare. Greene is especially troublesome because he's someone who was in a position to know, calling the actor Shakespeare a poet. I've heard one guy even claim that Greene didn't really exist, and that he was an early pen-name for Oxford, and that Henry Chettle and Gabriel Harvey were working for Oxford to maintain the ruse.
      Anyway, interesting take on Groatsworth. Thanks for the link.

    Baby William also died. The real playwriter was Italian born. Michaelangello de Crollalanza (literally: crolla + lanza = shake + spear) was the real Shakespeare. The Stratford parents were actually his aunt and uncle. He took the name of his deceased cousin. So the true birthdate of him is unknown.
