I wish ours was only 25 mins from us. We have to drive 48 mins for our TJ’s. We love their frozen fried rice, the lentil chips, white cheese puffs, the frozen wonton soup, the frozen dumplings, the mini meatballs, the Joe’s O’s, the fire roasted corn, chicken burgers, the melange trois peppers combo. Ohhhh. So many things!
Do any US Americans use sausage meat in their stuffing? Some Brits do in theirs. I'm from Northern Ireland and our stuffing recipe came from my Grandda, who died about 18yrs before I was born. His recipe is 2 boxes of Paxo Stuffing mix (sage and onion kind} 2 packages of sausage meat, an onion, 2 eggs and 283g of breadcrumbs (My mum uses a local brand's seasoned breadcrumbs and that's how much is in the package), mix all that together and split into 2 loaves, then add to 2 loaf tins and cook until fully cooked. I's also freeze able.
Trader Joe’s was part of the Aldi’s franchise which started in Germany. Two brothers started the franchise and later split it into two separate franchises, Aldi North And Aldi south. When they came to the USA one remained Aldi the other became a “cleaner” version called Trader Joe’s.
Agreed, and tasting items was good too. I love Trader Joe's but it's nice to get ideas/opinions from others that buy things I don't. I used the pumpkin brioche for a breakfast casserole, in the freezer for Thanksgiving.
I LOVE all of their gluten-free items. Anytime I’m planning charcuterie or grazing boards Trader Joe’s and Aldi are my go tos. I also go to Trader Joe’s for their flowers.
We love the gluten free stuffing mix. We stock up. We also love the spiced apple cider. It is so good! I buy three or four at a time. Their gluten free waffles are the best I’ve ever had. Oh and their frozen gluten free Mac and cheese is to die for. So good!!!!
Wow! You are so lucky. What an amazing haul. Here in Canada we don't have nearly the variety of seasonal items and those frozen Greek baked goods and pies... Omg. Enjoy. Love your shopping trips with Derek.
Thank you so much for sharing! I love shopping at Trader Joe’s. Side note-the island salsa on top of salmon then baked comes out perfect, super quick meal.
The closest Trader Joe's is 1 hour away in a different city then where I live. But I make the drive about every 6 weeks. We have food allergies and many of there products are so good and better priced then the store by us. So we stock up EVERY time we go on the items we love, plus the seasonal items.
Thank you for showing us everything in Trader Joe’s and touring around the store showing us everything! I loved how you did that! I got to see so many things I would never normally see!
I work at TJs in NC and people drive from VA to shop there-we are the closest one. Distance is relative, of course, but 25 minutes is nothing (lots of places in NC are a drive because so much of the property is partially converted farmland). She is very fortunate she was able to find a lot of those items. Much of what she was purchasing is already gone for the season at our store. (If you see something seasonal you like, grab it!)
Trader Joe's has really cute recycled plastic bags for $0.99 which we bring with us when we shop most places. We try to purchase one at a TJ's when we are on vacation along with sandwiches and snacks for a picnic on the beach or at a park. The bags make a great souvenir! (Stores in our area charge for bags unless you bring your own - saving trees and reducing plastic waste 😊).
Two items from freezer near gluten-free pie crusts- kunefe, middle eastern dessert- so good, and then near the samosas, kibbeh also middle eastern and so good! I’m jealous of what I’m seeing! Add in the Shwarma and throw in pita and google middle eastern salads that you can make and have middle eastern night!
Love Trader Joe's! We do our grocery shopping here. Great prices, awesome food! And the friendly employees are the best! The pumpkin brioche is amazing! The chicken spring rolls are so good! The mushroom and truffle flatbread pizza, mozza sticks with the Bolognese sauce....pretty much everything you showed is delicious. We rarely come across something that we don't like.
Trader Joe's has an awesome nut mix for Christmas. Last year was the first time we tried it and had to go back again to get a second round of both the regular and the spicy nut mix!! Also loved their Christmas coffee.
Yes! I used to buy from Trader Joe’s a lot in undergrad because it was only 5 mins away from my apartment. Their tea, wine, frozen food, and cookies were always in stock at my place! Now the closest Trader Joe’s is 15 mins away and I have closer supermarkets so I rarely buy from there now. Loved this video!
Trader Joe’s fav list is endless. Bananas, red peppers, basil, garlic, potatoes, power greens packaged veggie, green onion packaged so clean n fresh, garlic powder, sourdough, handmade flour tortillas, flat bread, cheese macaroni, organic frozen corn, organic chicken, chicken wings, pork ribs, apple sausages, bbq cut salmon, seasonal chestnuts peeled from France, frozen cooked potstickers, watermelon sparkling drink in can, sparkling juice drink in bottle, sweetened pecan. When my girls were in college, I chose an apartment right next to TJ, they were all set. TJ is my weekly staple store, about 20 min away, I wish they can have one in my area.
We love TJ's! I'm always trying all new items. It's the only grocery store my husband will walk around in. They don't have a huge variety of items and you can be in and out faster than our bigger grocery stores.
The eggplant garlic spread is delicious. We love Trader Joe’s, I always buy the frozen fire roasted peppers and all of the frozen veggies are great, the seasonings are great, and the flowers are inexpensive and beautiful. The Mandarin Orange Chicken is a staple in our freezer. We are a family of 2 so I like being able to get delicious food in smaller quantities and at a good price.
I’m a TJ addict- listen to the podcast, the whole she-bang. The Apple fruit snacks are yum and the watermelon jerky is disgusting 🤢 Pumpkin oatmeal cookies are good, the autumnal soup and pumpkin bisque are delicious. The magnifisauce tastes like the Big Mac spread and the pumpkin bread mix is great. The Brie with truffles is fantastic. I put the hot cocoa spoons in for teacher gifts. The spinach pie is a year round item as well as the Greek cheese spiral. My daughters are obsessed with them. Happy shopping ❤️
You have to go back for Christmas. They have so many chocolates and goodies for Christmas! The isn't much I don't love from trader Joe's . You Need to get the fig crisps and rosemary crisps for your cheese board, they are so good! The harvest spagetti sauce is so amazing. I would even suggest hitting them up near new year's for their appetizers. I'm so happy they brought a TJ's to Utah county.
I like to wait till closer to December when the RUclipsrs show their favorite things from Trader Joe’s, and I buy each of my kids and their families a basket full of items for Christmas.
I know this video was out almost a year ago but I LOOOVE Trader Joe's. My favorite things to get from there are the jarred roasted red peppers, sliced kalamata olives (I rarely see sliced, always whole in other stores) then some hummus, cucumbers, feta, garlic spread and their tzatiki sauce in the cold section. Make a little Greek layer dip. Hummus, garlic spread, tzatziki, chop up the roasted red peppers, add the olives, diced cucumbers, some feta. I also love to whisk some olive oil and lemon juice together with salt and pepper and add a can of drained chickpeas/garbanzo beans and toss in that dressing then add to the the layer dip. YUMM-OHHH!
The first video I've seen with healthy process food...I'm from a different culture where we cook everything from scratch so this video was very interesting. I love it very entertaining 💕
My favorite Trader Joe’s product is Israeli Feta Cheese. It comes in a blue tub and it’s delicious!! Peri Peri sauce is delicious on all meats. Derek is going to love it’s spicy, tangy flavor.
In a pot put some oil down take one cup of popcorn kernels you know the unpopped ones put it in the oil don’t turn the heat on yet take one packet of sugar (that’s all it takes) put the sugar on the kernels in the pan and pop away you’ll have kettle corn that taste delicious and there’s only 15 cal in a packet! It’s our fav! We also put salt on there so we have salt and sugar it’s so good!
Trader Joe's sure is a unique and fun place to get specialty items I think! In general, I never shop there due to it being a good 2 hours away from where I live, and it's expensive to shop there compared to other stores. It IS fun though to go a few times a year for special things, like you guys did! Enjoy your loot!!❤
Uhm here in Germany we dont have Trader Joes, but it is part of the Aldi Brand, so we have it here more or less ^^ Dont know if you know but Aldi was foundet by two brothers in Germany (their mother had a little corner shop and they took over ) and after a while they split up into Aldi North and Aldi South when they went to the US they named their Shops Aldi and Trader Joes ^^
I haven’t been to Trader Joe’s in about 2 years even though it’s only 5 minutes away. I forgot about all the good things they have! I’ve been doing my small shopping at Publix and ALDI but now planning a trip to TJ
I LOVE Trader Joe's! I really like everything there, but they have great prices on organic produce and products. And while I usually make my own, the pumpkin bread mix is really good! I love watching you and your husband shop! Thanks for another great video!
My mom gets the flaxseed veggie tortilla chips weekly! They are good for a healthier option. Peri peri, on chicken, it’s South American, but the Nando’s restaurant chain in England is so good! Shwarma is Middle Eastern and so good! It’s like gyro meat but middle eastern seasoning rather than Greek. So yummy! It’s Middle Eastern ‘fast food’. I live overseas, otherwise I’d tell you what I’d get. Looking forward to Autumn 2022 when I’m back in the USA!
The frozen fish is delicious... Love the mango salsa and egg rolls yummy... Samosas are delicious... Hugs to you guys love you both all and you guys make my day...
The garlic and chipolte salsa is good...better than most salsas at grocery stores. :D The stuffing is also great. Trader Joes BBQ sauce is the best! The Siracha BBQ sauce is also great. We shop at Trader Joes all the time. Check out the best virgin olive oil with the spout. I am obessesed, it is the best to cook with. Tempura califlower is so-so, bake in the oven. Baquettes are easy to toast in the oven and they are so good.
I like to mix the cornbread and bread stuffing (made from scratch) and add celery, onion, roasted chestnuts, cranberries &/or apples. Sometimes I add in sausage crumbles. Trader Joe's pumpkin is not as solid as Libby's but it makes a great pie by your regular recipe. I love their carrot medley and green mixed veggies from the freezer section too. They have "Apple Blossoms" that make a super fast desert for 2 that are delicious.
Definitely check out the cheeses at Aldi too! They have a really good mature Irish cheddar and right now they also have an Australian grass fed cheddar that’s one of my favorites! They also had baking brie with different toppings last time I was in there.
Great video! We found your channel because we search for TJ’s hauls every week. So yes, PLEASE make more TJ’s videos! You make shopping so much fun! We especially like your format - shopping with you, then seeing your haul at home. Terrific! We’ll be watching all your other videos, too. Thanks! ☮️❤️
We love the spices from Trades Joe! That is the only thing we can pack easily when we fly. We don’t have one close to use. I would love to try other things one day.
I love so many things at Trader Joe's. I always buy the frozen vegetable fried rice, the frozen chopped bell peppers, creamy mushroom pasta, instant coffee packs with the cream and sugar already added, lime aid and the cranberry walnut bread, which is worth the carbs!
Those cocoa stirers were really popular here last yr during the Christmas season. Everyone around here was making cocoa bombs and stirers. It was a fun gift for the kids 💝 it definitely helped lighten their mood for 2020
That island salsa that you picked up… That sounds a lot like the sonic drive-in island fire burger that they had a few years back. So try putting it on a burger! Because that was a great burger! 💙💙💙
I love in Southern California and, with traffic (which is ALWAYS), it takes at least 20 minutes to get to a Trader Joe’s on a good day for me! My go-to items are the refrigerated garlic spread mixed with the herbed tahini sauce, the chili garlic cashews, and the fried rice (even though my homemade is better😉). Hope you enjoy your goodies!
Yes please go back to trader Joe's.. I'm in the UK and don't have anything Ike this here, I wish we did.. I really do love your shopping trips especially at thanks giving and Christmas.. looking forward to seeing your video. Stay safe. X X
Enjoyed your video very much. I love Trader Joe’s. I love everything in the store. Lol. My hubby and I haven’t been there in a while though. But when we went we would come home with all kinds of goodies. 😋😋😋😋😋 lol. Have a great day 👍😎👍👋❤️. Enjoyed shopping with you.
The peri peri sauce can be used like you would ketchup or a brown sauce, use as a dipping sauce for chicken tenders, veggies and potato wedges etc.. and also can be used to marinate chicken or any other meats and veggies cutlets .
Trader Joe’s has the best price & quality of butter! The frozen orange chicken is a favorite in our house. I could go on & on. Lol. My gamily has been going to Trader Joe’s since the 70s.
The closest TJ's is over 3 HOURS (and 1 mt pass) away from me! I'd love a 25 min drive! I absolutely love shopping there but have only been 3 times in my life and! I did huge hauls when I've gotten to go. I've tried almost everything you ask us about; the GF stuffing is great and so is the mango salsa! The pumpkin, chocolate cookie mix was great but didn't make as many cookies so I wished I'd grabbed 2 cans. Their frozen veggie section is amazing, the pre cut peppers and mushroom medley makes for easy prep when I don't have fresh.
The closest TJs near me is 3 hours away. I’ve only made the trip there once but it was worth it. Seeing all these goodies makes me want to plan another trip.
My faves: almond croissants and lemon bars, hearts of palm pasta, teeny tiny 🥑, Holiday items- their advent calender, the chocolate orange, but both go extremely quickly. They also have those amazing danish/kringle things.
I miss Trader Joe’s so much! I haven’t been there in like 2 years. I appreciate the shopping haul. I really need to go again. I miss the dried pineapple. I make RUclips videos too. Mostly cooking and DIY but I do some shopping hauls. I’ve never done a Trader Joe’s haul but you’ve inspired me to plan a trip to Trader Joe’s! Thanks for taking me shopping/hauling with you!
Could you put the crispy jalapeno pieces on your greenbean casserole? With the peri peri sauce marinade chicken in it, put it over cooked chicken pieces! It's amazing.
Hi Kimmy here in UK our stuffing mix is not made with bread it's called paxo stuffing mix l usually mix it with sausage meat and paxo stuffing with chopped up bacon pieces extra wild sage with shallots chopped up as well but my grandmother made her stuffing with bread and boil potatoes think that was because of food shortage in second world War you had to have food stamps in them days to buy food with and alot of people used offal insides of animals to make wot they could that wasn't on food ration
THAT was so fun!! I haven’t been to Trader Joe’s yet here in Salt Lake!! Everything looked amazing!! I’ve heard that their prices are pretty decent!! Thanks Kimmy💝
What I always get at Trader Joe's is what you looked at the orange chicken, chocolate cat cookies and the vegetable fried rice!! YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also the tomatoes, bananas, apples, oranges, onions and green or red peppers are wonderful as well!! But you have to try the vegetable fried rice and the orange chicken, to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wasn’t a fan of the salted hot cocoa mix I felt like it taste like it was missing a couple of ingredients but if you mix it up with regular hot chocolate mix and just added to it it taste a little better.
Fig and olive crisps are amazing with dip especially the Elote dip amazing sweet salty crunchy chewy, the pineapple salsa is delicious on grilled chicken, pistachio garlic very good!smoky coconut aminos awesome! Eggplant dip is great on turkey sandwich, my go to items, gnocchi Sorrentini, coconut smoothie, mini cilantro wontons, sliced brioche bread is amazing! The puff pasty is amazing made with butter from France I make apple hand pies in my air fryer with the Cinnabon spread , the Carmel sauce is dangerous, cookie butter crunchy, carne asada (steak burritos) maple cookies, I could go on and on…😋
I love Trader Joe’s! Ours is about 45 minutes away, so I don’t go very often. I just went yesterday and bought some of the things you saw! I wish I had gotten the Harvest Salsa, I just didn’t know if it was good or not! I did get some bacon wrapped scallops and some prosciutto. Their prices were so good!
Trader Joe’s is the bougie brother of Aldi. The brothers separated when they came to the United States from Germany. Oh! Their frozen fish is excellent. I buy most of my fish there
Gosh my regulars are… those French green beans, rainbow carrots, the orange chicken, both crackers you got, cheeses, salamis, cornichons, dried olives with almonds, candied pecans, choc covered pb pretzels, the truffle chips are good for ahi tuna tartar, bulkogi beef, those chocolate croissants are TO DIE FOR, their chocolate raisins are the best, crumpets, lite guacamole with Greek yogurt, mango lemonade, next time check out the refrigerated dressings-yum, fancy pizzas, organic chicken dog treats, and more. You DEF need to go back for Christmas- totally different stuff- amazing !
I wish we had a trader Joe's nearby. We only have one grocery store and a Walmart so the choices are so limited! I guess I'll keep living vicariously through you 😁♥️
I am a huge fan of Trader Joe's. It is my favorite grocery store. I have tried so many of their products. You can't go wrong with any of them. The one thing that I love about them is they don't put MSG in any of their products. I am highly allergic to it.
Seasonal stuff at Trader Joe’s doesn’t last long so if it was me I would just get the Gluten-free stuffing when you go back. We buy the Orange Chicken regularly, my son who works for Trader Joe’s buys it even more than we do. They get new things every week and may things they can’t keep on the self.
Hi! Another TJ's fan here 😊 My very favorite Trader Joe's Christmas treat is their Panettone. It's a sweet and buttery Italian cake and the ones at TJ's are phenomenal. Excellent with a cup of coffee at breakfast or for a snack or dessert. I can't wait until they hit the shelves soon!
Went to visit my daughter in ATL and she took me to Traders Joe when she heard me talking about your video. I bought the popcorn and few spices you’ve recommended. I also bought the Brie with truffle. Can’t wait to eat it. Thanks for a wonderful video.

Some people do!
I’m loving the videos of you and Deric going shopping together! You’re like a comedy duo 😂❤️
Trader Joe’s was part of the Aldi’s franchise which started in Germany. Two brothers started the franchise and later split it into two separate franchises, Aldi North And Aldi south. When they came to the USA one remained Aldi the other became a “cleaner” version called Trader Joe’s.
I love when your videos show your thought process, & it's funny to me that to see Derek's thought process as well. Thank you both!!
The stuffing is so good! I just add fresh diced celery and onions sautéed in butter and use chicken broth instead of water.
Thank you Lisa for the tip. It never entered my mind to use broth in place of water, lol!
Yes go back for Christmas, they have a huge assortment of chocolates and stocking stuffers!
Really preferred the unpacking of the grocery bags compared to the typical haul.
Great!
And listing prices is great! So many youtubers don’t do that
Agreed, and tasting items was good too.
I love how u care about the little things .. like blurring out kids faces and stuff like that ! ❤️I Love Ur Channel !!!
Thank you
I love the spinach & artichoke dip that’s found in the frozen section. I buy a coupe every time I go!
We love the gluten free stuffing mix. We stock up. We also love the spiced apple cider. It is so good! I buy three or four at a time. Their gluten free waffles are the best I’ve ever had. Oh and their frozen gluten free Mac and cheese is to die for. So good!!!!

Trader Joe's has an awesome nut mix for Christmas. Last year was the first time we tried it and had to go back again to get a second round of both the regular and the spicy nut mix!! Also loved their Christmas coffee.
Trader Joe's is 2 hours from me. In England, a restaurant called Nando's serves Peri Peri chicken. It's very good.
Yes! I used to buy from Trader Joe’s a lot in undergrad because it was only 5 mins away from my apartment. Their tea, wine, frozen food, and cookies were always in stock at my place! This was fun! The Trader Joes's Kringle is our favorite this time of year. I could eat an entire package!
Love traders joe I have one 10 minute from where I live. Love the pumpkin bread muffin mix tastes and smells awesome. Like fall when ever I bake it.
Yes, definitely go back for Christmas goodies. They have great appetizers for entertaing. We like the mac&cheese frozen appetizer.

The crisps are SO GOOD! One of my favorites. I like them both but if I had to choose one I'd go with the fig and olive.

Yes definitely a shop with me for Christmas…..
Aldi also has a great selection this year of charcuterie board supplies. And that garlic chipotle salsa is amazing.

The frozen fish is delicious... Love the mango salsa and egg rolls yummy... Samosas are delicious... Hugs to you guys love you both all and you guys make my day...
My favorite item is the dried mandarins! Oh my gosh they are so good!!!
We prefer the gf stuffing mix to normal stuff. And it sells out fast at the Orem store! And yes the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are awesome!
The garlic and chipolte salsa is good...better than most salsas at grocery stores. :D The stuffing is also great. Trader Joes BBQ sauce is the best! The Siracha BBQ sauce is also great.
In NZ for Christmas we have Sage and Onion breadcrumb stuffing mix, it's traditional here and so good.
Those cocoa stirers were really popular here last yr during the Christmas season. Everyone around here was making cocoa bombs and stirers. It was a fun gift for the kids 💝 it definitely helped lighten their mood for 2020
The frozen almond croissants are delicious!
I just found that refrigerated garlic spread. We love it on sandwiches!
Yes please go back to trader Joe's.. I'm in the UK and don't have anything Ike this here, I wish we did.. I really do love your shopping trips especially at thanks giving and Christmas.. looking forward to seeing your video. Stay safe. X X
That autumn harvest soup is so delicious!!!
Me too, 3 hours each way so 6 hours total :(
Yea go back and love your videos xx
My brother works at Trader Joe’s and I am so stoked!!
He brings a lot of these awesome holiday items home for us to enjoy!! 😋
You are sooo lucky! 🤗
I love this because you're at my trader joes and not one in the east and so I know I can find these products..thank you!
Loving the Trader Joe’s videos. Yes please go back for more . Lol
THAT was so fun!! I haven’t been to Trader Joe’s yet here in Salt Lake!! Everything looked amazing!! I’ve heard that their prices are pretty decent!! Thanks Kimmy💝
Me too! I’ve only been once, I need to go again apparently!
Love TJ! I love their garlic oil. French Onion soup(frozen section) too much to list, but I get overwhelmed when I go ! ❤️😋👍👍👍👍👍👍
I buy most of my fish there
They've been bought out & now are owned by the same parent Corp.
Also they are the only ones that you could find brussle spouts (frozen) for $1 a lb.
@@amandawilder7353 how do you prepare frozen Brussels? I just assumed the texture would be off and never tried.
I was just thinking that some of these products I've seen at Aldi's. There us no Trader Joe's in my area. The closest is 100 miles away .
The fig crackers are one of my favorite TJ finds, also their chili dried mangos. I need to make a trip soon.
Yes, please do a Christmas shop.
I wish we had a trader joes here in Canada. Everything looks amazing. Loved this video :)
The maple sea salt popcorn (in a pumpkin colored bag) is delicious! Thank you for the video.
I wish we had a trader Joe's nearby. We only have one grocery store and a Walmart so the choices are so limited! I guess I'll keep living vicariously through you 😁♥️
The fig and olive crisps are very good. Whip up a cream cheese garlic and chive dip to go with it. Great for charcuterie board.
I am a huge fan of Trader Joe's. It is my favorite grocery store. I have tried so many of their products. You can't go wrong with any of them. The one thing that I love about them is they don't put MSG in any of their products. I am highly allergic to it.
fab video Kimmy and Derk, thanks for taking us shopping with you it is always nice to see what you can buy in the states. love from England. xxx
We love the butternut ravioli in the frig section. And their garlic spread is delicious too!
Marcona almonds, red pepper and tomato soup, gargonzola gnocchi, kung pao chicken, chocolate croissants, and many more.
