@Eric.mov_ in nollys intro vid of the kit he goes through the bus compression he applies and also another further layer of compression using the fg red and they make a big difference to the impact of the kit overall
Got this kit as soon as it came out, easily the best sounding drum library out there. It may not be the biggest kit or one that has the most options but what you can do with the kit pieces that are available is amazing, it also keeps it very streamline and simple in that regard anyway... The turbo function on this one is better than ever also, really reduces the amount of processing needed to throw the kit into a mix. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone that hasn't checked it out yet.
How is it in comparison to the P4 kit? Worth the upgrade?

@@bnjmnstvns yeah definitely worth the upgrade, the velocities are much more well sampled and the kit overall is just captured better. Has a really clean sound and requires much less processing to get it sounding great in a mix.
@bnjmnstvns the PIV kit is super solid and another of my favourite kits personally. However the PV kit takes most aspects of it and improves upon it. Like he mentioned, the turbo feature gives you an incredibly close final mix version of drums, obviously lacking some glue but that's generally about it. I really enjoy the variety of the PIV kit, and you will be losing some of that, however, I think the PV kit really takes it up a notch with some really limited, but very very solid kit pieces. Think of the one kit wonders they've done in the past, think of PV as the magnum opus of all of them in a way. The turbo feature, for me, really just makes the kit shine

I bought this the other day on Sweetwater. It's so badass. I love what GGD built with this implementation. Routing it into Ableton and Reaper was super simple.
