One of the reason why Aqua choose Akane rather than Kana is mentioned in episode 12. Because Kana is an idol, there is nothing good happens with boys around. He even overlapped Ai's dead body(his worst trauma) with Kana last episode...
From here on out the series will revolve around Ruby one way or the other. You will get a lot of answers like the twins father, who that person who died was, a LOT of dark Ruby. More detective Akane and a lot of oh s moments. Season 3 is going to be very very dark. That's why it was all foreshadowed in the opening and closing songs. You got to pay attention.
@@SkeletalGoose doesn't really matter what color. That scene just wants to tell you daddy is quite the psycho and is still committing murder up to date. The character was given a name in the manga, but since they already put this scene out, I doubt she will show up in the future.

Kana's state of mind after knowing Aqua and Akane are together will be explored in S3. It actually became its own arc, leading to the "15 years lie" project actually going forward. BTW "15 years lie project" is actually considered cut content from the anime. In the manga, during the prologue (= when Ai was still alive) each chapter of the manga included a small interview on one character about the newly aired movie "15 years lie" which content is basically the whole backstory about Ai's death. People who got interviewed include the main cast in Strawberry Pro (Aqua, Ruby, Kana, Miyako... you name them) and the director (the one who raised Aqua as an actor). From the beginning of the manga, we were basically told that this movie that reveals the dark truth behind Ai's death is part of Aqua's final revenge and should be the closure of this whole series. But the anime cut all the future scenes from the prologue simply just to fit the whole prologue into one episode.
Some important info revealed in this episode with the Raven girl, if the stalker is the college aged person and the father was the middle school aged person at the scene of the crime that would mean if Himekawa is 4 years older than Aqua, you could say the father was only about 11 years old when he had Himekawa. And so the plot thickens…
@@TheGenreVerse the fan was definitely the stalker who was the college aged kid and the other witness/accomplice would have to be the father who is middle school aged and you could assume be the same age as Ai. Makes you wonder if Himekawa’s parents suicide was it because the mother perused a minor and maybe the the fake father found out? This story is absolutely crazy 😭
There will be a live action adaptation for Oshi no Ko that will be released on Prime on Nov. 28 + Sequel film on Dec 20. And the cast is sooo good. We get to see Ai's death again but this time in live action!
Enjoyed your reactions to this season of this impressive series. No idea about that ending either, but your speculation is certainly intriguing. Dark Ruby Saga upon us... this will get interesting. Also don't worry about the final scene for now... reasons... anime itself ended on chapter 80 of the manga, that scene is chapter 109... so don't hyper focus on it.
@@TheGenreVerse It's a nice tease for season 3 basically, that scene is a while later after the events of this episode, but if you wanted to hook people for the next season then this is probably a good scene to use.

Hi guys, great video! Now that season two is officially over, I'd love to ask you a question: do you really think Aqua used Akane? Aqua's entire premise at the end of season one was that Akane understands Ai better than he does. For that reason, he entered into a fake relationship with her, to use her to learn more about Ai, and thus possibly find out who his father might be. However, do you guys think you could mention a single moment or scene, in all these thirteen episodes, where Aqua asked Akane something about Ai? Or tried to create a situation for her to use her investigative skills to get information out of her?
7:52 thinking about it this is so true lol, Akane has the blue haired curse I'm glad she had her time with aqua tho, as a kana stand this scene hurt especially considering what happened last episode, it felt like Akane was dragging aqua away by telling him to avoid going on dates witth kana, and yeah i know it's true that idols ain't supposed to be in relationships but dang
There is a quote from aka that im not sure it is true "I like writing young girls that suffer" or something like that but if it is between kaguya and oshi no ko especially the end of this season it might aswell be true because akane is probably very emotionally confused kana just is never allowed to succeed or be happy and ruby is completely broken. Now to wait and see what new pain aka will subject us to.

I don't think he will choose Akane for a reason like that. Aqua may be a manipulative person but he is not an asshole like that. Akane wasn't a replacement for Kana

From what I've seen, Akane has given Aqua just as much and more than Kanna has given him. So that's why I believe he chose her. But, yeah, the series is still going and things can change. I was happy to see it though since I am an Akane fan. There's also the fact that Kanna is going to be an idol, and idols in Japan pretty much cannot be in any sort of romantic relationship. If you want to know why then take Ai as an example.
Yeah... that Aqua and Akane moment wasn't romantic and wholesome. It felt angsty and pitiful. But I'm sure after the last episode - Aqua got in his head and thinks he can't be with Kana because she's an idol.
Genuine question: why is it okay for Aqua to kiss and pursue a romantic relationship with Akane? Goro died in his 30s, was reborn and kept his mental intelligence. It's 16 years later, so that'd make him a 46 year old kissing a high school girl.
Generally, that wouldn't be okay. Just like Angel being over 240yrs older than Buffy wasn't right... Or Edward with Bella... Then again, Aqua has the brain chemistry and hormones of a teen and has lived as a new person for awhile... It's something I think most people just try to ignore... Like when watching vampire stuff 😆
@TheGenreVerse brain chemistry and hormones, and the tendency to overlook it for the sake of fiction is something I can understand. Realistically, any reincarnated person experiencing birth and infancy again would undergo the same effects though, right?
I don't believe in reincarnation. If it does exist, wouldn't there be a chance many people are older than their current selves are? It's fiction, the physical character is a teen, and unlike Rudy from Mushoku Tensei, Aqua doesn't act pervy... I wish the age thing (or sibling thing) in anime didn't happen so often myself, but here it's handled in a relatively decent way... Or comparatively decent way...

Kana needs to get over Aqua lol, she doesn’t know nearly enough about him in comparison to Akane. And yes, Akane over-attached to Aqua due to her own trauma for sure, but at least she knows what she’s signing up for.
And you can say the same about Aqua not knowing enough about her or knowing anything about Akane there's a reason he doesn't want to get her or Ruby involved with his revenge it's to protect them
@@jarvisfowlkes3200 Aqua knows plenty about them both lol. I’m talking about who knows about him. Aqua has never even (at this point in time) expressed desire to get Akane into things either.
