Gojo and jutsu high was bad gojo was a horrible friend when gojo was holding the girl with that distant look on his face geto was able to tell something was off not once did gojo try and talk to him and see what going on with his best friend if he even tried to talk to him after seeing him going through that he could have change something.

I think you forget everything that you learn about the story and the curent time. Geto sad that twice for this 5 episodes - to many cursed spirits were born in that time period and there are not many Jujutsu Sorcerers as you now, Jujutsu teck cant afford something like not sending their special grade sorcerer to deal with them, especially Geto whose abillity is cursed spirits manipulation who can absorb them and become stroger. Gojo saw Geto losing weight when they were tasting Gojos powers. And the principal is not the only one who can send you to a mission so he was not looking at Geto often enough)

There's only four special grade sorcerers registered in this modern time which are Gojo, Yuta (one from movie), Geto, and that woman Yuki. And yes she is Todo's mentor. But she is often overseas and doesn't take orders from the higher-ups, which is why we don't see her that much. Fun fact: She is the first special grade sorcerer in this era. She was registered before Gojo and Geto became special grade

another thing, gojo's beautiful eyes are special. they allow him to understand the planet better than everyone else. because of that, he instinctively becomes arrogant and feels superior. that's why he didn't notice geto's depression and later he blindfolds himself. it allows him to calm down. when gojo has his eyes blindfolded he is very human and even imature but when he removes his blindfold he becomes arrogant and even has a sadistic smile.

geto was mentally fragile and when he arrived in the village he saw two little girls imprisoned. the villagers accused them of many crimes that they had not committed. it is because of this that geto killed them all and left the exorcists.

A littel story after Nier automata from this years concert "end of data" After 2B was revived by the Pods on September 5, 11945,[2] 9S awakens on September 19 next to 2B. Still needing further repairs, the pair decide to scavenge for transporters to obtain the necessary YoRHa-specific parts on October 22. On October 25, the pair notices that the transporters contain messages and memories of the old world. The information pieces together and point to the existence of Eden, a hidden underground complex used to store YoRHa technologies. 2B and 9S begin traveling to the location. At one point in their journey, the pair also discover an old manor.[Note 1] 2B realizes her black box is still damaged from when A2 first killed her, though keeps it a secret from 9S. dude, just due to the fact that you actually pause the show to share your thoughts on what’s happening im subbing automatically. so many reactors just talk over such important dialogue and parts it’s frustrating .

Don't get me wrong, the anime adaptation is very well made, but the ending with 042 and 153 fighting against the protocol is still better experienced in game play, it's much much powerful there. Also, that is the TURE ending of the game, happens when you load up the last fight and chose to control the other character, it's really a huge shame that Brian didn't get to experience it.

Junji Ito, the mangaka of Uzumaki is my favorite artist and no anime in the past can do his work justice. I wish his other works would be adapted just as good as this anime.

This was all hand drawn and blended with rotoscoping. It's a labor intensive process, but it ends up looking amazing.

Nice to see you checking this out. Uzumaki is the only Junji Ito work I've read. Unfortunately it'll only be four episodes and judging from this episode, it'll be a bit rushed, but I'm really impressed with how they've adapted it for the most part. It is an incredibly weird story so buckle up. Some parts are genuinely disturbing to me, and other are just silly. Its def unique tho.

Enjoyed your reactions. I get the impression this is early 80, in an small, fairly isolated town. A near-perfect translation of the manga -- in fact, perhaps verging on being so perfect it was almost redundant if you've seen the manga, though some of the horror scenes worked very well when animated (like collapsing into a spiral). And the music and voice acting were good. I kind of miss not being able to see the manga in color, but this version has it owns rewards, especially for non-manga readers. Speaking of Ito, there's also the Gyo anime, which is a much more traditional (and full color) anime movie based on one of his works, though I think Uzumaki, especially at this length, is the superior story (Gyo is still worth watching).

if anything this show won’t cause yall “horror”, since that’s not the main focus of it. Is not the type of horror where jump scares are all over the place. The main focus is the psychological horror aspect, instead of making you feel terror it makes you feel discomfort, like makes you feel weird and paranoid, not only that but it also gets really unique in a way.

this might be a bit philosophical but i love the fact that the drunk priest was having a moment of epiphany when Thors sacrifice was mentioned. The love that he was seeking in his time was 'Agape', the unconditional love that he had never seen in his life, had never witnessed it in the battlefield, had never expected it from the barbaric warriors he was with. Thors had so much agape to give, to his family, to his village, and even to his enemies. The fact that the drunk priest was seeking for that transcendental kind of love despite he was living in the time of war and conquest, even people having no basic concept of love, is still relevant and eye-opening during his time period up to these modern days where people have no knowledge and capabilities of expressing agape to one another

Some early thoughts before I do a second watch on certain scenes and my comments on them.... I responded to a specific comment with this, but I feel some may want to read it too... God discriminates with His love. While He loves all, he will damn people for their sins. You can be the most helpful, charitable, selfless person in the world, but if you worship any other deity, refuse that your sins put Christ on the cross, or that Jesus is the son of God who was sacrificed and resurrected in the flesh, then He will not let you into Heaven. You will be damned and He will basically say that He never knew you. He laid out laws governing food, reproduction, marriage, and pretty much every facet of human life, and if we don't follow those, He will punish us... If you don't turn away from and repent for your sins while accepting Christ as your savior. God declares himself to be a JEALOUS and VENGEFUL God, but a JUST God. People love to bring up Jesus and God's flowery words about love and peace, how Christ dined with and washed the feet of sinners, but immediately ignore the call to REPENT and TURN AWAY from their sins. Pursuing an ideal with full knowledge that you will have to be flexible and not violate other's free will (free will being handed to us by God himself and being a HUGE part of having faith, choosing God over sin, and getting to heaven) is fine... But humans are not good at that. We get very focused, very easily. Blinded by it. I think a lot of people forget the brimstone and hellfire from God, and those that don't, think humans can deal the same in a just way.... On a very small scale, we can. We can justly look at evidence and decide a person is guilty or innocent of a crime. We can also, generally these day not so much in the past, dole out an appropriate punishment. But as soon as you add more people to the victim list, or the crime is heinous enough, we lose the ability to easily separate emotions. I still think I am gonna have issues with Canute and how some are taking the priest's words, combined with their thoughts on God, but I will rewatch these scenes and my original comments and offer some more thoughts.

Sometimes you have to remember that just because your 39 year old self has heard, "the story as old as time", doesn't mean the youth has. And just because you think it's impossible, doesn't mean it's impossible. There'd be a lot of things we wouldn't have today if one person decided whether or not it was possible. Good and bad. Also, in reference to the Christian God.. The way God is talked about in the bible and the way God refers to himself in the bible is enough to humanize God. You're right, people don't need to do it because the bible does it itself. I'm pretty sure he's felt every range of human emotion, he's got clear biased towards certain individuals, he orders militias to destroy cities.. He is very "humanized".

14:55 The point the priest is making is that the love you have for the other people within your own circle is precisely what can make you lose sight of what is truly good and just in the grand scheme of things. If Ragnar loves and cares about Canute and the villagers love and care about each other, then everything will be right in the world IF AND ONLY IF their interests don't collide. But when it came time to choose between Canute and the lives of 62 innocent villagers, Ragnar chose Canute and allowed those villagers to be slaughtered because of what was supposed be the answer to all the world's evils. The priest is calling that idea into question. There's a reason this definition of love is a central theme of basically every major religion/philosophy/legal system/political ideology in the world. It's the single biggest moral dilemma we face as human beings. If this isn't deep, I don't know what is.

Nier Automata is a game that really only works strictly because the medium of choice is a game. I was concerned for that reason when the anime adaptation was announced. I believe they've done as good a job at telling this story through anime as was possible. However there is so much that gets lost in translation. All you have to do is watch an interview or two with the game's creator to know there was no way to condense his madness completely into 24 episodes. I'm really happy with how they handled it, though, especially A2's backstory. That portion was basically just a text adventure in the game and fleshed out more through stage plays. It was a treat to see it put together and animated.

The scenes in the tower are a combination of ending C and D. In C, A2 pretty much sacrificed herself for 9S. In D, 9S is given a chance to get on the ark. Ending E, where everyone is brought back is mostly the same except for the inclusion of Accord.

The girl at the end, her name is Accord she's from Drakengard 3. She is important to the whole lore of Drakengard and Nier. If not mistaken she was created to watch over timelines and i guess it's safe to say she's either directly or indirectly save the anime timeline from collapsing hence the wink or maybe I'm going too far with in my head.

Regarding the ending A2 took the virus from 9s and transferred to herself and in game she didn't leave with the ark and just decided to die.
