Thanks for noticing. Even though it's a subtle difference in strumming technique, it's really the magic in Bruddah Iz's strumming style.

Tricky to get the rythem as quick as you are doing but sounds great when you do,thanks for the video😊

It does take some practice to get the strum to sound smooth. Start off slow to get the rhythm, then the speed comes later. The trick is to twist your wrist and not bend your elbow.

Thank you ! My playing was missing the "solo" G string, knew it, but didn't tried yet to figure by my own how to get it, and the Life ( or maybe the algorythm of RUclips ;) ) sent your tuto to me ! No doubt with the G string "solo" trick, this song sounds much better played, more aerial and sequenced at the same time.
I'm just surprised there is no palm mute at all, but maybe I got used to the way I played it with palm mutes on the first down and up strokes, because I learned it this way and it seemed to fit approximatively with the tapping sound ( not the solo G string ) we can hear on the Iz's recorging, making it sounds kind of a reggae style. I tried quickly to add a palm mute on the first up stroke after the "solo" G, but it seems too complicated and not useful for playing it as Iz did.
If you have a clue for what the missing tapping sound, it would be great ! Maybe a tap on the body of the uke ?
    Thanks !

The tapping sound is actually Iz's finger lightly tapping on the top "G" string. If you want videos of Iz's live performance, he's not tapping the body of the uke. I'm glad you got Iz's famous strum technique down. I think this strum is key to cover this iconic song.

Не волнуйся, друг мой. Просто нужно больше практики.
