Pete, did you cut down the part about Lori Lightfoot about her tyrannical moves during the scamdemic and her racism by any chance? This city lives on affirmative action. Lightfoot wouldnt take any questions from white journalists.
Peter, thank you for everything! I have an amazingly sad story that is happening everyday to millions of Americans. I'm not going to go into detail unless you want to hear about it because it's a looong story about America's FAILING health symptom BUT... My mom DIED a sad, lonely and unnecessary death in a nursing home at 59 due to this sad laundry list of items in order of sequence 1. Social security kept denying her healthcare because she WAS eligible for Medicaid. 2. Medicaid kept denying her for Medicaid because she was eligible for social security. 3. Cancer ate away at her in a state run nursing home (because as soon as she had to be hospitalized for metastatic bladder cancer that went to the pineal gland of her brain) the poorly run nursing home took her to only 2 her chemo treatment because they were under funded and understaffed/overworked. 4. She died confused and in severe pain ( a whole other topic) and alone because the covid lockdown was not allowing ANYONE but medical to come in. My mom worked as a single mom to raise 2 kids. Working sometimes 3 jobs to take care of us. Mostly under the table waitress jobs. Started having lots of health issues, a Dr rated her for disability and that's where this all began..... She died on my daughter's 15th birthday in April of 2020. I now at 36 have the same scary symptoms that she had close to my age and cannot get Medicaid or social security and get sicker everyday. My 2 children have also been denied over and over and my one oldest daughter has severe stomach issues, asthma, depression and anxiety. My youngest at 12 has her teeth decaying everyday along with depression and severe anxiety. My husband who served in the Army reserves has bipolar type 1, PTSD, acute depression and anxiety, along with other issues, and had also been denied. This has gone on for years...😥 Yet, I've met migrants and people that had no problem getting healthcare. PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS KNOWN PLEASE HELP ME GET JUSTICE BECAUSE I KNOW WE ARE NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE GOING THRU THIS. THANK YOU, PETER!! ✌️🙏❤️ 😘
One guy with a camera, his wife edits the material. All in all two people who put out more and better quality content than multi billion dollar media enterprises do. This is both a massive compliment to Peter and his wife as well as huge humiliation for the media giants.
Yeah, almost like it was a stupid idea to let homeless non Americans in when we don't even take care of the homeless citizens we already have? Who the hell asked for this again?
In the past year I've slowly weeded away from TV media news outlets minus a little from NewsMax and found I get more non biased informative news from podcasts as yours. Keep up the great reporting Peter, you should have your own news outlet on TV!
This isn't real journalism. This is taking one persons story without researching what they are saying. He is exaggerating a lot and skewing a lot things based on his opinions.
Is that right? First of all THAT is just your opinion. My opinion is that this type of journalism is way more valid than any of the legacy / Corporate media is spewing.@@GrinderTV
@@GrinderTV most people don't know what journalism is. They also have a weird hate for journalists. But yeah this isn't journalism. He is documenting something though.
Talking in 100% facts? There is only one person in the history of the world who spoke in 100% facts. He knows the best words to DONALD TRUMP 😂 You ain't real Chicagoan! Fake
Peter!!!!! This is an academy awarding winning documentary!!! This is a significant piece of American history Peter you deserve some sort of recognition on a large scale for this journalism and the gentlemen in the community are excellent examples of normal law-abiding good people. That man told us that it's important to pay attention to your kids. He takes them to the park and gets them out and bonding for a least a little while everyday. So important. Accolades.
Now THIS is investigative journalism! You deserve an award for this video, Peter. I have been following you for a while now and this episode is one of the best, if not the best. Kudos to John for having the courage to talk so openly and candidly about the political issues Chicago faces, as do many other large cities in the US. New Orleans and several other cities in Louisiana have similar problems with sky-high violent crime and political corruption (I think our state and Memphis may be the only ones in the same general crime statistic range as Chicago)…I wish more retired police and government employees here would speak out about it as well.
This is so unacceptable. We are paying taxes to take care of illegal invaders and we have homeless veterans who can’t even get food. I have a big problem with this.
ALL homeless people are also important and shouldn't be swept aside. Chicago should be giving their homeless apartments and help. Not everyone is able to or has the will anymore to work.
A lot of these homeless "veterans" aren't veterans at all but claim to be to pull on people's heartstrings or they were in for a short time and got dishonorabled
@@TheRandompaintmost of them did... not only that.. beetle juice and that idiot mayor you have now! Seems like liberals never learn or it's just not bad enough yet.
I was in Chicago first time this September fell & broke my pelvis & fractured my spine. A kind man helped me gently to my feet, a woman ran for the police who stayed with me keeping me from shocking. One week in Northwestern hospital with excellent care then medivaced back to Canada. Thank you Chicago for helping this 73 year old broken & scared woman who is now recovering.
I wonder how many people this guy beat the schitt out of, falsified reports on, and entangled in Courts & Jail over his 32 year Career?? How many OTHER COPS has he covered up for at the expense of somebody falsely arrested or overcharged??
Peter, you are the most authentic journalist on any media platform today. Your ability to show parts of the country so unfiltered and unedited is what we need more of. Thank you for providing this level of truth and honesty.
The idea that anyone would intuitively believe they are getting some sort of unfiltered and unedited perspective on our world through some guy's clearly edited and scripted travelogues on RUclips is something to think about.
I work for Cook County government and the politics he spoke of is absolutely true. Promotions and hires galore for completely unskilled and unqualified people. Politics and agenda are the priority for these agencies and its killing all types pf departments in Illinois
How much destruction has to occur before people wake up. Its to the point where they force people to use an identifier (his him her etc) in their emails, what a disaster
Show me the evidence that people being promoted and hired are unskilled and unqualified, or is this your opinion because that is what you think about people of color.
35:50 Was great, the fact you had an ex career cop, a business owner that got his store trashed, and a caring citizen, coming all together to essentially agree on what needs to happen was interesting.
My wife started watching this video on TV. I started watching it after realizing that it was being filmed in Chicago. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the ride along with retired CPD LT John Garrido. Thank you from Will County Illinois for taking us on your ride along. Very intriguing video. John Garrido provided valuable insight on the tour of Chicago.
Help and support? Yes!! When I had a teenager out of control there was no where I could turn to. I was told unless she committed a crime there was nothing I could do
@@ابراهيم_محمد_الازهر Wrong on the programs. We had very few street homeless prior to 2012 compared to other big cities. Why? Public provision for mental health care. After all a functional adult in America with unemployment as low as we have means a working adult. In a budget crunch in 2012, Rahm Emanuel cut that funding off. Result? Thousands of people, many of them veterans, without mental health care, fell into destitution and homelessness. Surely it makes more sense, as our new mayor has suggested, to restore that funding rather than spending money on tents, temporary sanitation, and lost tax revenue from ex-visitors horrified at the sight of homeless in tents.
When john said that one politician had 115 officers assigned to her for safety that blew me away what a waste of resources. Unbelievable we would never known if it wasn't for this video thanks Peter and John
The polyticians are our "local" enemies. They are doing the dirty deeds of what the tip of the pyramid wants them to do. Search gold fringes around the American flag. We are suppose to be under common law (law of the land) not admirality/maritime (law of the water/British rule/law)
Exactly. So informative. Lori Lightfoot was the worst ever, she defunded the police yet hired 115 cops to protect her. The coruption and hypocrisy are on another level
The cops should have worked on it day and night to make that public. Maybe with a RUclips channel, posting videos of the mayors political power and resources abuse. Some citizen should have sued her for the same.
I know Im going to get actual real news when Peter posts. This dude is doing more with a camera and two mics than the media has done in 10 years. Thank You Peter
Mainstream news is nothing more than teleprompter readers. Just flip channels and one channel gives you the right wing bias the other one gives you the left wing bias. They just flip the script. Divide and conquer. That is what TV is for TV programing.
Mainstream media news bought and owned by liberal, leftist and progressives mostly Democrats. They only tell you what they want you to hear and see. PLEASE be an informed voter in November please.❤
This was absolutely a 6 star coverage, editing, and production of the City of Chicago episode. I don't think I have ever seen a better, well spoken, piece from professional gentlemen and women that were involved in this experience. This absolutely makes me proud to be from this city, even that I was only born in Chicago in 1957.
As a lifelong Chicagoan and a resident of the 16th district for most of that, John Garrido has done nothing but good for the City of Chicago. I had respect for him before this video and now even more after this video. Thank you for taking time for showing how beautiful my city really is even though we have a lot of issues.
And as a lifelong Chicagoan that lived right behind the 16th District Police Station in Jeff' Park, I am glad that I got the heck out of the city & state a few years ago; and I am never going back.
@@capitana2377 : I will. The weather here (both summer & winter) in Honolulu is much better than back in Chicago as well. Additionally, the violent crime rate here is still below the national average. Have fun dealing with all of the ILLEGAL immigrants in the city. And hopefully, Chicago gets to keep its title of being the "Most Corrupt City in the U.S." for the 4th year in a row.
My dad was a Chicago PO for 23 years. John Garrido is a good friend of our family. Grew up on the Northwest Side like Anthony said, lots of police officers, firemen, city workers in the area. So glad John was able to speak so openly about everything going on in our city, what the media doesn't show, what the officers can't talk about. I thank you Peter from the bottom of my heart for sharing this. Really shows people that our officer's hands are tied in a lot of situations, they're not taken care of by the big guys, but they do care and love our city. I now volunteer with a non-profit organization called Shields & Stripes to help officers, firemen, and even the military heal from all these invisible wounds (PTSD, suicide, etc. that John mentioned) because I love and care about this community so much. Thank you again Peter.
Many of those officers, especially from the communities you mentioned are racists. Just ask the black and brown people that have been brutally beaten by many of the “good” cops you’re describing 🙄
John didn't speak about the racism in the police force for many many years. But what he did is blame gender and race for untrained officers. What a freaking joke!
I've been binge watching since last night. I have slept 8 hours 😂 I just am obsessed with EXPERIENCING what is actually going on. I appreciate your hard work and willingness to get the truth to everyone 🌟 Bless your soul 🦋
Poor Wadea al fayome 6 years old kid was stabbed 26 times and beaten to death along with his mother which is in critical condition. The people of Chicago are nowadays too much stupid
The 711 owner really gave a good perspective on trying to survive in Chicago as a good citizen trying to be entrepreneurial and "pulling yourself up from your bootstraps" with small businesses. Fighting for everything you have and still living paycheck to paycheck with multiple hustles. That is the true Chicago story.
His situation also highlights the amount of taxes he pays from his hard earned money. As well as the amount of overhead from politicians deciding more red tape is the answer. My statement is vague intentionally. I had 15 Optical Shops that I managed in the early 2000’s. The costs the business paid the city was absurd. Traveling between the locations was costly too. Everything is more expensive in a big city vs the burbs but, I found it excessive. We started opening locations in the burbs. The burbs had much higher profits with less sales. I sold my stake in the business and never did it again. Switched to being a consultant for private Ophthalmologists and Optometrists. I took my best Opticians with me and put them in the many offices I was consulting for. Every office in contract turned around and became successful. I retired 4 years ago and haven’t been back to the city since. It’s become a shlthole since . I warn my grown children every time they go downtown for anything.✌️
7-11 lease-owners here in California make great income and don't work 7 days/week except ones in San Frannie and LA. They certainly don't do side-line gigs. Same country different city/states.
An alternative view would be that “you have to fight for everything you have” is the motivating sentiment of the criminal. I think there has to at least be a supplemental sense of I’m contributing we’re in it together or else it’s just all conflictive
I also hired on in 1991 and recently retired from Vegas PD. John is spot on on everything. Good stuff! Policing needs to get back to where it was years ago and put bad guys away with the backing of all Dept.'s nationwide.
Be careful who you vote for. Thank you for your service to this Nation. I am sure Nevada Appreciated you. We bolted out of Cal,40 yrs ago. Never regretted it.
This is an awesome interview. You can tell this guy was in law enforcement for the right reasons and that he truly cares about the people in his community. Thank you for this.
I liked all the interviews but the one with the 7-11 owner was so candid and real, it gave me hope, there is people like him who in spite of the difficulties, are still in a positive frame of mind.
They kept calling that area a neighborhood. It isn’t - I only went to Target, LA Fitness and buzzed off home on bus 24 while living in a neighborhood further south. Those kids picked a spot with no foot traffic. The city isn’t designed for expecting people will follow the rules in vacant places, it is designed for fear of running into someone you know keeping you from doing dumb stuff.
But we still need to vote in people who care into office. Does anyone realize how this city has gone to hell in since Rahm Emanuel was in office. We have Mayors who do nothing to address the problems. They put the blame everywhere but where it belongs. When I came on CPD in 90, we had 12,500 cops on the street and were allowed to be the police. Today we may have 8000 tops and nobody wants the job. We can't even foot chase. So criminals have become bold because they know they cannot be chased and will not be caught.
@@johncalkins6188 of course you point out what boxes she checks....not her actions. That's the only thing that matters to the left, and the only reason she got the gig.

America's homeless can't be helped with handouts. They have mental problems or drug issues. They aren't self sufficient so they'll be back on the streets. The migrants are just temporary getting help and are self sufficient. Most of those that came months ago transitioned are already working and are renting. Some even already bought their own cars. America's homeless after the handouts end will be back to sqaure one. THAT'S the main difference. Give the homeless rehab and mental help first
We have corrupt politicians in power. They smile and lie to get these positions and then do the opposite. The house and senate is full of traitors and despicable people.
Yep. He reminds me of my landlord, who owns a gas station in a bad city on the East Coast. He's such a great guy, best landlord I've ever had. I love hard-working Americans.
Yet Mayor's are only passed on to people who knows who they are, like he stated, its Friends and Families. However even if he becomes Mayor, he will not have the budget if he decides to do something out of the box. The Committee who owns and runs all the money will stop sending him the cash. So yes a Mayor can have some great power, but only if those in charge of the money will allow him to use the money he needs.
Yep and all the people in places like Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas Fort Worth Metro Plex and El Paso have way more migrant than NYC and Chicago. You voted for Biden and its on you Chicago. Hey New York City you own this situation stop complaining.
Much respect to that retired police officer! He did a very very dangerous job and didn’t get the back up he deserved from government. Such a nice man and im real glad he made it to the end. May he and his family enjoy his retirement!! From the uk 🇬🇧✌️
Please tell this gentleman that I for one appreciated his forthcoming and speaking out about the current, true situation of the city. Thank you for your work, both of you.

This is fabulous, it's refreshing to hear from a retired cop rather than politicians or community advocates. This retired officer clearly cares for the people in his city. I enjoyed hearing his perspective.
Thank you John for bringing up the stress of being a police wife. My husband just retired. I know exactly how your wife felt the day you retired! Thank you for your service!
@@jwfinley7808 He won't do shit about this either. If anything he'd vindictively turn the screws on the whole state since it's a Democratic stronghold, further ruining the lives of the people in the video
This is a good cop. This is the type of police mentality that needs to shared to everyone. These guys are doing an impossible job, under impossible conditions, and impossible standards set by a population that thinks they know what’s’ right. I’m glad this lieutenant made it to retirement. And I thank him for sharing.
It is very sad that veterans who served are now homeless. The system is broken. Thank you peter and john for shining the light on these issues. The migrant crisis is pure insanity. I hope they find their way and get back on their feet.
I don't think we can say the system is broken. Saying something is broken implies, at the very least, that there is a desire to fix or replace it. The people responsible for everything we're seeing have no intention of making things better for anyone. Except for themselves, they'll improve things for themselves consistently, it's their #1 priority
I am a veteran, and they do have programs for us at the va's. You just have to be clean. They even have free detox and treatment. I know from personal experience firsthand
Peter this is another home run. Thank you John Garrido for your contribution to this video as well as you years of service to the citizens of the City of Chicago and your organization helping rescue dog and pet rescue that your wife oversee. You were very for coming and informative. Thank you to the owner of the 7-11 and the gentleman that talked with them for your perspective as well. Thanks to Aldermen John for your contribution and service to the citizens of your district and the people of Chicago. Chicago is a great city and it’s residents, employees and visitors deserve quality protection from the Mayors office and police department. The police need to be supported by the city. Hopefully the things get better. Keep up the great channel Peter !
This video makes me so angry at the politicians that have been running Chicago. The city is so beautiful, and full of amazing people. This video should go viral. Post this everywhere!!!
Omg John Garrido! He is amazing. He does amazing things for Animals. When i worked at the police station, organizations brought food for the migrants and specifically told us it was only for the migrants. Not for the homeless. That really put a bitter taste in my mouth
Ughhh that's awful smh. Side note: few years ago John Garrido saved two doggies I messaged him about from an elderly neighbor who was unable to care for them any longer but didn't know what to do with them. Poor things were so matted and neglected. His organization rehomed them and paid to get the pups groomed ❤️ He's an angel.

Pete, thank you. I know it's your living doing these videos but I appreciate you taking the time to going to areas like Chicago and getting the story from those who live there.
There's a reason not many are doing it as a living. The so called mainstream "Journalists" don't live like journalists anymore . Not like Pete does. I hope he's getting rewarded much better in comparison by the American public.
Watching from Rochester NY. Thanks to Peter and this officer for a candidly honest look at how much politics and nepotism affect public safety. We're experiencing the very same problems here in my hometown. Thank you for sharing.

@@jaytrock3217 It's rough here. I'm appalled by the fact that they gave 5million$ of taxpayers money to fund a Police Accountability Board. The grift is right out in the open here. Saddens me to see this city struggling.
I’m right down the 90 in a suburb of buffalo. The Democratic Party has lost its mind. They cause these problems and then does nothing to fix them. I’m not a hard core republican either. They have their problems to but I lean right a little now. We need a party that actually works for the people not themselves
This ex-police officer is an inspiration to us all. An intelligent, well-spoken kind man. He is what we all want to see from our friends in blue. He makes it easy to support our officers. He's right, there has to be accountability. From the top, the politicians; and bottom each one of us as citizens. They are the ones who are supposed to hold us accountable. I love this guy!
Oh, EX-POLICE, not a retired police officer. That means he doesn't identify as a cop. Makes sense. No decent person would want to look at themself and see a cop.
As a life long Chicagoan. You are doing a great job showing Chicago. That retired officer was 100% correct about nowadays there's no accountability for crime. He gave you a great and also rare, inside look at what our officers are dealing with in chicago and its terrible and its why no one wants to be an officer in chicago anymore. God forbid they make one single mistake, the mayor will hang them out to dry and try to lock them up before there's even an investigation. Which perpetuates the cycle civilians not trusting the police andnofficers not wanting to work for chicago or even arrest people who are committing crimes. He seems like a genuinely nice guy and sadly were losing so many great officers like this man

@@damonmelendez856mate when you demonize and insult the black man that’s doing good things you do no good to incentivize black people to like whitey. It’s like there’s no winning so might as well burn it all down. Do ya get that?
Peter, if you’re in Chicago again can you interview school teachers who are in for all the right reasons and like this officer see the things that make their job extremely difficult?
I 100% sympathize with John and the other career civil servants. I'm a 26 year employee of the State of Wisconsin. The biggest obstacle to serving the public, regardless of department, is politicians. Their primary concern is themselves and their political career. Those of us who have dedicated our lives to public service get very frustrated and discouraged with the politics involved. To the public: Please don't take out your frustrations on the low level employees trying to serve you. Our hands are often tied by decisions made by those without firsthand experience of what we're dealing with.
While I thank you for your service, it’s this mindset or point of view that is the problem. “It’s not me, I’m just doing what I’m told, my hands are tied”. You know who else said similar things? Just think WW2. It’s like the cops who enforced Covid restrictions. Shut down businesses and even arrested people. Sorry, but you don’t get a pass because “the politicians told you to do something”. You took an oath to the Constitution not your mayor or senator or congressman or even your police chief. You either take a stand or you don’t.
I live in a red state. We don’t treat our civil servants like that. I live in a smaller city of almost 70,000 people. If our mayor or other politicians treated our LEO bad or held them back from doing their jobs they would be out of office fast!! We pay our taxes to have protection and to feel safe. I couldn’t imagine living in a big city without police. I’d move out ASAP.
Thank you for educating the people. I retired from Indianapolis Police Dept in March after 28 years. I had to fight a bad guy and ripped my bicep. I had to retire. This was a huge blessing. I used to love going to work. Everything said in this video about the police officers thinking is spot on. I used to love the job, not anymore. Defund the police, politics, crazy rules, ridiculous court rulings, and just being fed up chasing the same bad guys night after night got frustrating and disheartening. Our department is budgeted for 1800 officers but as of today we are down 350. Nobody wants to do the job and our applicants are way down. When I was hired in 1994 there were about 3000 people apply for 60 jobs. Departments could be picky and have higher standards. In 2021 we had a process where we only had 350 applicants. When departments cant be near as picky and when they will lower their standards just to fill positions bad things will happen in the future with these questionable hires. Thanks again for the video and as always great job.
I retired in ‘97 after 30 yrs, three OIS, and found your video spot on. The media & Hollywood has made cops the bad guys today and nobody wants to do the job. Salary & benefits are pretty good but I see law enforcement agencies forced to advertise on Facebook. There’s no way I could do the job today & I fear standards will be lowered to fill jobs. When that happens you’ll see some of the worst LE encounters ever, and some of what I see on RUclips may be attributed to that, or to careful editing.
Thanks for sharing your story. I wish that more people would look at police like human beings instead of their enemies. Only criminals are supposed to be thinking that way. @@oldcop18

Peter, thank you for everything! I have an amazingly sad story that is happening everyday to millions of Americans. I'm not going to go into detail unless you want to hear about it because it's a looong story about America's FAILING health symptom BUT...
My mom DIED a sad, lonely and unnecessary death in a nursing home at 59 due to this sad laundry list of items in order of sequence
This has gone on for years...😥
Yet, I've met migrants and people that had no problem getting healthcare.
PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS KNOWN
PLEASE HELP ME GET JUSTICE BECAUSE I KNOW WE ARE NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE GOING THRU THIS. THANK YOU, PETER!! ✌️🙏❤️ 😘

ALL homeless people are also important and shouldn't be swept aside. Chicago should be giving their homeless apartments and help. Not everyone is able to or has the will anymore to work.

We suffer from that situation in St Louis too.
How much destruction has to occur before people wake up. Its to the point where they force people to use an identifier (his him her etc) in their emails, what a disaster

No, they're going to be pretty much going to turn into bad adults.

Lightfoot is a disaster.
The cops should have worked on it day and night to make that public. Maybe with a RUclips channel, posting videos of the mayors political power and resources abuse. Some citizen should have sued her for the same.

Message to America?
STOP VOTING DEMOCRAT! 🤦

They kept calling that area a neighborhood. It isn’t - I only went to Target, LA Fitness and buzzed off home on bus 24 while living in a neighborhood further south. No thanks.

The migrants are just temporary getting help and are self sufficient. Most of those that came months ago transitioned are already working and are renting. Some even already bought their own cars. This retired police officer should run for mayor. He would fix a lot of things. He makes so much sense.
Yet Mayor's are only passed on to people who knows who they are, like he stated, its Friends and Families. However even if he becomes Mayor, he will not have the budget if he decides to do something out of the box. The Committee who owns and runs all the money will stop sending him the cash.
He's badass. Chi-Town sucks.
And he's an animal lover! He runs his own rescue.
Oh, EX-POLICE, not a retired police officer. That means he doesn't identify as a cop. Makes sense. No decent person would want to look at themself and see a cop.
Love your videos. Working my way through them. Thank you so much. I’m 73 still learning.
It's nice that someone is doing real journalism. Thank you, Mr. Santenello.. Every American citizen should watch this..
Thank you for what you do and exposing all this corruption in our country. You give so many different perspectives, It's great seeing all of them!
He seems like a genuinely nice guy and sadly were losing so many great officers like this man
I agree 💯
This should be a Netflix series. So informative and very fair reporting.
I'm a Chicagoan for all my 63 yrs, you are so correct I'm totally convinced my vote doesn't matter. They elect who they want. I lived in portage park area when I was 13 and for many years.
64 here. Ive watched, every election. I dont vote. They put in who they want. How else do they explain that freakshow, Lightfoot??
Are votes never did count its all bs I voted one time never again
Are votes never did count its all bs I voted one time never again
Unfortunately that's everywhere! We don't have a voice😢
Im 38 and realized this, but why would we think a powerful government would give us peasants any say😂
Another quote
"Public Safety cannot be political ". Spot on. Tree Link International 😊
That guy with the "Essentials " shirt is an example of a true father figure who cares for his community and his family .
And that is the vibe that makes Chicago truly one of the great American cities.

Wow! Eye opening. John is one of the coolest cops I’ve ever seen. He’s what a cop should be. Thanks for that very interesting video.
Peter, if you’re in Chicago again can you interview school teachers who are in for all the right reasons and like this officer see the things that make their job extremely difficult?
He should collaborate with a channel called Teacher Therapy. I do believe she may even be Chicago based

Helping kids without good parents to guide them moved me to tears. Thank you for being.
Doing a great job, Peter. Thank you.
You're 100% correct and I'm sorry that this world is doing what it's doing. God bless and thank you for your service
Lol except their police force doesn’t care about citizens
@@laikanbarthThe cops are literally stationed every other block downtown…
Thank you Terry!
And the idiots in Indianapolis keep voting for Hogsett and Mears.
@@oldcop18
Thank you for your services a le officer
Nice job profiling Chicago with a retired officer. I'm a retired officer from Sacramento and it was interesting to see how similar our enforcement issues are in comparison. I came on a year before John. John's story about his off duty attack brought back memories of how bullet proof we thought we were until WE got shot at or seriously hurt during a fight.
Powerful Man on the Street stuff Peter. Keep it up brother!👍
Thank you for your service.. I'm in so cal so I know how Sacramento is.

Same with New Orleans! This should be a reoccurring citizen I left Law Enforcement in New Orleans after 14 years for these very reasons! Be happy to show him around!
Thank you for your service. My dad was a police officer from the 70’s, rising to captain in the 90’s, in the city of Santa Ana. I have family in Sacramento. Happy retirement!
This is my hometown Peter. My father retired Cook County sheriff back in the 90’s. Thank you for doing this videos. I believe Chicago is still a great town.
probably worthwhile doing another project with this man. maybe he can help build a forum for community progress and discussion. he's very well spoken !! has the experience to bring wisdom ! respect.

Peter thanks. I think this is one of your top ten. John thanks for your service, and helping Peter educate people on what is going on in our cities.
Another incredibly informative video Peter. You politely and calmly engage with ordinary people, always with great respect. You highlight life’s struggles and present ways that can help, inviting authorities to take action. Please come to London and do the same one day🙏🏼🇬🇧🇺🇸
Love that you’re in my hometown. I miss Chicago but the cost of living & my disability has forced me to move to small town Missouri. Thank you for the virtual vacation. Unfortunately the down side of moving to a place that I can afford is the lack of resources available. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence. Obstacles exist everywhere. I am a former Private Investigator & Covert Loss Prevention Manager, I appreciate your tour guide as much as I appreciate your reporting.
Totally understand. I moved to Chicago waaay back in 77 just out of high school. The city gre on me and I adopted it as my second hometown. Still after 7 yrs and did not go futher to school there... A accident my father had too. Had me return to small city PA. I loved Chicago yet knew I might never own a home even back then or many years. Back home in a small city in Appachia I could and did.
Still as you say.... the grass is not greener. I still miss Chicago decades later and had so many great visits. It still looks great and downtown is much better than even the 80s.
You know he's a really experienced officer, when the guy can stear his truck in traffic with 1 one finger while holding a coffee and using his free hand to express himself. and it all flows smoothly.
