- The internet is more obsessed with the trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp than the public conscience has cared about a court case since O.J. Simpson’s legendary celebrity trial. This one has all of the same dark and sinister twists, surprisingly hilarious lawyers and judges and a lush background of an A-list lifestyle. There’s one thing this has that the Simpson trial didn’t have. A private island.
Johnny Depp apparently found his own private place to escape the pressures of Hollywood. He discovered it during the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean and it became his haven. He even named beaches after friends and family after building an eco-friendly place there.
The island eventually stood as the location for his marriage to Heard. It also apparently stood for the dissolution of the same relationship as several high profile arguments and violent altercations allegedly happened there. The only place worse for this couple was Australia. They may have committed the biggest dog smuggling related crime the country will ever see.
Then we’ve got the sillier side to this trial. It is wild that a matter so serious has been met with so many surreal moments stranger than anything he’s done with Tim Burton. This includes a vaping witness, alpacas, and a wild swing from Amber Heard’s team to have a major piece of testimony hinge are her explanation about a batch of muffins. It has to be seen to be believed.

Didn’t Amber try to blackmail Johnny to get his houses, island, and penthouses in the divorce or she’d go public with his ‘abuse’? That didn’t go so well for her.
She “only” asked for three of the five penthouses, $50,000 a month, and his Land Rover in return for not making accusations of domestic violence against him, to start with. The final settlement was $7 million to her with Depp covering the tax she would have had to pay on it, and him covering all debts accumulated while they were together, which was about $13.5 million. Also, he had to cover $500,000 in legal fees she had for the divorce.
In total, it cost him about $29 million. Maybe more.

I feel bad for Johnny. Being an abused male and talking about it would be hard. People in general talk down about abused men. Making them feel even worse and making them feel like if they were a real man they wouldn't be abused. The Island is beautiful. He should keep it and just get out in nature. He has money so really doesn't need to work. He should just work on putting all the craziness behind him and work on his mental health. There is real pain in his eyes.

@@chefmarcg then he should work. Truth is there is and ever will be one Jack Sparrow. Johnny has talent that I've never seen in any other. If Johnny wants to work then he should. If the people don't want to hire him for the movie then he can make the movie himself. That means he keeps all the profits. Honestly I wished more Hollywood types would cut out the middle man and just make the movies themselves. Johnny is the one with all the talent not the director. I bet if another tried that part but the same director then the film would have sucked. Johnny is the one that makes films great. This is just the facts. If he wants to work then he should.

@@kxenia7852 depp has been thru xtreme childhood trauma. That kind of trauma sticks with u forever. The turd gave that same abuse he endured as a kid. Finally, he broke down & sent a couple texes that was out of frustration, sadness, anxiety, etc. Have u listened to the hours of convos between depp & turd? I have. Funny how she never mentions any abuse on his part in those recordings but u can clearly hear the turd admitting to hitting him, following him, antagonizing him, teasing him, making fun of him, etc. He handled it by running from her. Most ppl would explode with violence considering the trauma hes had in his childhood...but he never did. Depp is a better human than u wil ever be. U refuse to see & hear evidence of the turd being an abuser...i pitty u
