Merle Ronald Haggard (April 6, 1937 - April 6, 2016) was an American country singer, songwriter, guitarist, and fiddler.
Haggard was born in Oildale, California, during the Great Depression. His childhood was troubled after the death of his father, and he was incarcerated several times in his youth. After being released from San Quentin State Prison in 1960, he managed to turn his life around and launch a successful country music career, gaining popularity with his songs about the working class that occasionally contained themes contrary to the prevailing anti-Vietnam War sentiment of much popular music of the time. Between the 1960s and the 1980s, he had 38 number-one hits on the US country charts, several of which also made the Billboard all-genre singles chart. Haggard continued to release successful albums into the 2000s.
Jewel Kilcher (born May 23, 1974) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, producer, actress, author, and poet. She has received four Grammy Award nominations and, as of 2015, has sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
Jewel was raised in Homer, Alaska, where she grew up singing and yodeling as a duo with her father, a local musician. At age fifteen, she received a partial scholarship at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, where she studied operatic voice. After graduating, she began writing and performing at clubs and coffeehouses in San Diego, California. Based on local media attention, she was offered a recording contract with Atlantic Records, who released her debut album, Pieces of You, in 1995; it went on to become one of the best-selling debut albums of all time, going 12-times platinum. The debut single from the album, "Who Will Save Your Soul", peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100; two others, "You Were Meant for Me" and "Foolish Games", reached number two on the Hot 100, and were listed on Billboard's 1997 year-end singles chart, as well as Billboard's 1998 year-end singles chart.

Lyrics:
I've been throwing horseshoes
Over my left shoulder
I've spent most all my life
Searching for that four-leafed clover
Yet you ran with me
Chasing my rainbows
Honey, I love you, too
And that's the way love goes
That's the way love goes, babe
That's the music God made
For all the world to sing
It's never old, it grows
Losing makes me sorry
You say, "honey, now, don't worry"
Don't you know I love you too?
And that's the way love goes
That's the way love goes, babe
That's the music god made
For all the world to sing
It's never old, it grows
Losing makes me sorry
You say, "honey, don't worry"
Don't you know I love you too?
And that's the way love goes, oh

Takk skal du ha kjære venn, er så enig med deg, denne er bare nydelig! :)
i saw him mouth "im alright" right before they started. What a pro. He nailed it. Prolly drunk or hi.
No he asked jewel how are you she responded then said "you?" He says I'm alright. Obviously they didn't chat before the performance on this particular occasion. Derrr
You just must be drunk or HIGH. not hi. High.
R.I.P. MYFRIEND

Camera man absolutely sucks!!! Didn’t even show Norm on the steel ride!!!😡💯
..estranho !!...merle nunca cantar com algum dos seus filhos....
I love Merle and Jewel both, but not as a duet. I think Sheryl Crow would have been a better fit if you're looking for someone from the pop genre.
jewel screwed up this great song
I agree. Hag always announced his words ❤❤
