  • We've hit 100!
SHOUT OUT TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SUBSCRIBED AND HAVE WATCHED (SUBSCRIBERS OR NOT!). This is an ongoing journey and there is still a lot more to go! So again, thank you!
Short vid and sort of to the point here.
Handlebar tape gets overlooked a lot. We sort of treat it like a fashion accessory at times. It does look nice when you get the right color, but it does have a function that can make or break the front end of the bike in terms of comfort.
When you're on a budget, you just have to use what you have, and that's what I'm getting at here. You could use cotton handlebar tape, but cork is the next step up with some cushion, and it's really all you need.
If you're looking for something simple and that doesn't really cost you anything, you can take the extra tape and strategically place in in areas that are slightly problematic and that can assist with alleviating that problem.
It's not a guarantee of any kind that this will work, but I've tested and tried this, and it does work. Adding too much bar tape can make that area a bit too soft, so be mindful of how much you use. Personally I like to use just one piece for extra cushion, but personal preference! Whatever works for you!
    And that's it!
