I think he declined because he’s planning to join the Stars now that his SHL run is over. We are playing Nil Lundkvist 2 minutes a night because DeBoer doesn’t trust Nils rn. Bichsel can easily replace that sheltered role perfectly. Plans to join us in playoffs or enjoy summer preparing for next year

the issue goes back to the 2023 WJC where he partecipated,. initially he declined to play and he didnt care about playing for the national team, and then the swiss ice hockey federation had some meetings with him to clear the air, since he is our best prospect, and they agreed on his partecipation. then the 2024 WJC he declined again and situation went downhill again lol

Not sure what's going on here. I think there are two sides of the story and he had no say yet. It's unfair to view him as selfish and a non team player. He is very very young GIVE HIM A BREAK! He is a great talent! I cannot wait to see him in a Dallas Star uniform regularly. GO STARS!

So.... a player that's been described as playing with a "violent" attitude, you're telling him he has to sit out for 2 years? And while you sit out your aggressive, no, your violent 6'6" left shooting 234 pound defenseman, you're hoping he "cools" his attitude? Maybe I've misunderstood your article, first of all I'm glad Dallas isn't playing him. lol.
