We're going over the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, and if the Detroit Red Wings could draft Cole Eiserman, Tanner Howe, and Alexander Zetterberg.
The 2024 NHL Entry Draft is filled with a lot of top NHL prospects. Some are elite, and others could be even seen as franchise NHL prospects. Detroit needs a goal scorer. We have a lot of set-up men and too few finishers. Whether its Eiserman or someone else that should be a priority, even if they aren't great on defense. Yzerman was a scorer and not a dynamic defensive player when he was drafted, people grow. Obviously as fun as it would be to have a "new" Eiserman its unlikely.
I highly doubt SY picks any of these guys, he has his own top picks that usually surprise us
For years there was a common saying in Detroit: "There is no 'I' in Yzerman". It sounded paradoxical when spoken, but you could see that it was true both in writing and in Red Wings games.
Now it sounds like you are saying that there is too big of an "I" in Eiserman.

I remember hearing of a scouting report years ago, of a Swedish player who had good skills and a great attitude, but was too small to play in the NHL. His name was Tomas Holmstrom.
The Red Wings took a chance on him and it worked out well. So if the new Zetterberg cousin is ultimately drafted by the Wings, I would have no problem with that.

Lets be honest, SY works on his own draft board, no one saw Nate going 9, Mo was completly out of left field, everyone thought Wall was gonna be the guy but it was Cossa, the only predictable picks hes made are Kasper and Raymond
Sandin Pellikka was predicted, nobody expected him to be picked at 17 and not 9 though
I haven't been into Detroit Wings drafts lately, they just don't draft good. Ryder Ritchie has kicked it in the U18 tournaments, I would go after him or Berks and hopefully we tank next season so we can get Mckenna.

Trevor Connolly simply does not fit the framework of SY's prospects. Too many red flags, unless he turns into Matthew Tkachuk then teams will forgive the strange antics and decisions for Trevor..
Right handed forwards Nygard, Hage, and Sennecke probably will top the list.
Then Greentree, and maybe a long shot defender in RHD Adam Jiricek for the second line.
It would be hilarious if the wings added their FOURTH Howe by drafting Tanner Howe. Who are the other 3?

He’s been mocked to the 10-15 range. I do have a feeling someone is gonna grab him before strictly based on upside but it’s still a very real possibility that he drops
