I see it more like PLD wants to try and get his confidence back and not end his year on a very poor note.
PLD probably know he had a rough year, and he probably gonna try to get his game better, with a different perspective, playing with other players. Him having success would means that he could potentially bring that kind of success to the kings next year. If he doesn't have success you could still value the passion for the game and still hope that he get his game better considering that at some point, PLD was playing like a PPG player with the jets, back january or december last year (I think).
I actually think that this will help his trafe value.. yes, it'll show he has an attitude problem but it will also show that if traded to the right team, he can be useful. ... I wish La would get rid of him..
Maybe pld will go and play well it might just b that the kings system is not good for him I hope he lights it up with Canada and the kings get some offers for him then from other teams thinking that he could do great with there teams system who knows
LRob Blake said the Kings wants to make him better. PLD has all the tools to be a power forward star in the NHL. The problem is that he has no drive or motivation. The talent is obvious. It's a work ethic issue
I can tell you as an LA fan, we want to see him do really well here. This season was rough but he openly said he knows where he needs to be better. (I think)
At least he wants to play for Canada..., wheres Crosby... Everyone loves him but never goes and skips on Allstar game. WC doesnt win with allstar team look at last year...
As a Jets fan we had to endure the debacle that he brings 🤯 moments of brilliance but never engaged for more than a period or two the work ethic is not there it seems and not to get personal but he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Who's going to pick up an 8 million contract for a back 6 player that can't play defense where do you put him GM's stay away
I don't see an issue. Frankly, PLD, nor the LA Kings give a rat's anus what we think of them, nor should they. If he goes out for Team Canada and blows up, leading the team to a medal, good for him! The fan's interpretation of this outcome is irrelevant. And I actually think this is the most likely outcome. We know the guy has lots of skill, and now he has something to prove. Was he personally responsible for LA getting owned by the Oilers? Nah...that whole team stank. PLD's not even the player on whom they are spending the most money (that's Doughty, for those keeping track). Granted, I think PLD's contract is quite rich, compared to his actual performance, but his regular season production (16G, 24A, 82 games) is consistent with his first year with the Winnipeg Jets (8G, 12A, 41 games) - he has identical goals-per-game AND assists-per-game. So I think we can expect it to increase over the next couple of years, before he gets bored and demands another trade (only half-joking).
LA didn't have to make this move. They didn't have to trade for him nor sign him to such an expensive contract. Caveat emptor.
Dubois play when he feels like it. Joining team Canada should be a reward for top players that are on vacation early. Dubois doesn't deserve to be there.
PLD should not be there imo. There are better Canadian players out there. i wont be watching a game if he is on the team
PLD being on Canada's roster won't matter. Compared to other nations, Canada is stacked. They'll cruise to Gold with or without him.
Have you seen Swedens and USA rosters? Not to mention that stacked roster doesnt mean win. Look at Finland for last few years
Uh... U.S has great players now and better goalies. Thry are putting out better players now its just reality with their programs now and even if their population watches less, it's still x times more then Canada. Canada still has the best high end players though. We lost our great goalies from Quebec l feel cuz it's just way too expensive and more people here play soccer over hockey it's cheaper.
@@oasisbeyond USA has a better roster cuz their coach said if u aint coming to play u dont have any chance to play at Four Nations tournament, this was said probably to all the Non playoff US NHL players. Obviously the top tier guys dont have to come since they dont need to prove anything.
PLD will prob find a way to get -100 points in the tournament
First impression and judging by the French crowd... notice how he is the only French Canadian on the team,
I see this as a token player to avoid media backlash from the Quebec fans
I mean he was hated by cities he played for. So if he doesn't wanna be hated by a whole country, my guess would be he will try try. Lmao
Celebrini and Fantili are part of the future for Canada, they let them have experience instead of someone like PLD or even Nick Paul
As a jackets fan I'm pretty offended not only u dump fantilli u bring up a player who is disprespctful and a player that showed he didn't want to be in columbus or any other team
Bruh do a livestream of your reaction
Dubois is probably gonna look to make amends for his lousy year only logic I find
Dude it's not just a lousy year it's a lousy career
@@scottgregoire2093 he comes off two 60 points seasons before this year which is not lousy he just has an history of giving up on teams
@@moonlight450the passion would be there if he was a hab. Too bad LA didn’t buy him out and habs sign him to a one or two year @ 3 or 4 million.
@@komirules a guy with a history of being difficult it’s always better to avoid
