The fun thing about Qurupeco urgent quest is at that time: 1. Most of the available armor pieces either have 0 or negative fire resistance, 2. Ludroth weapons (water element) also isn't available yet, so you're forced to fight with raw damage plus status/items. I think the quest is meant to test your skill at aiming the monster's weak points.

I played this so much back in the day with the English patch. Looked amazing for a PSP game. Played it so much so that before some of these monsters had English names, the translation team went with another languages' names and they stuck with me forever. (Azuros = Aoshira (?) or Zinogre = Jinogua (?))
Ya know when the first time i played this game (this is also my first MH game), i tried to hunt the Great Jaggi at the three star quest in the guild right after i create my character, and damn it took me almost 50 minutes to clear it. I didn't know we supposed to play the village quest first
man , that was a good ass video ! although some of the memes thrown in feel a bit a little forced (the "that's quite big , impressive" for example) it still feels that it was made with passion and rapid montages are always fun , improve the formula and it wil sky rocketing in no time !

In case you really wanna play it on PSP you could buy the Japanese PSP version of the game, jailbreak your PSP and then patch the game to English (there are guides to all of it on the internet).

These WARNING random events were so fun. I'm sad they didn't keep them in the next games.
I think they made a return of some kind in 4th gen but it didn't carry the same weight.
