I played this gem on PSP but in Japanese. Later an unofficial patch was released which was fantastic. Never understood why it never released in the West.
I checked the sales figure and it is the record holder for the most sold PSP game in Japan. Strangely the game didn’t get an expansion released like most MH games despite its success. Only a PS3 port.
Well it's similar to mh3u, only some monsters difference

Same here, I'm playing playing through Mhp3rd on PPSSPP emulator, it has been a blast so far
In MHFU, narcacuga is hard, but in mhp3rd, a cakewalk, since the map are way bigger than cramped MHFU map
MHp3rd is easy in general
The maps are very similar 😑, it's just that MHP3rd is way easier overall.

I never got the chance to play this MH3 on my PSP back then because it has the old version. I was very young and didnt know how to upgrade it, that's why I only played MHFU. 😔

doboroku is actually my favorite monster from this game. you can use the pellet shot with bow and break his back :)
my first mh game was mh freedom 2 on the psp. it was my first 3D game ever and I actually never played it really well back then cause i was too young and legit afraid of the monsters. so i only do gathering quest(hell, i cant even read back then and i just complete the mission without knowing how) and I absolutely love the village's soundtrack
but when I was in highschool, i got to play monster hunter on the psp again and it was this game. many hours spent. got my savedata deleted multiple times too for but still enjoy going back again and doing everything. the grind. the adventure. the hunting. it was all very very cool. I always look forward to playing mhp3rd and I might play it again on an emulator just because i saw this video lmao

Playing claw on an actual psp was a nightmare. So I just stored away my psp and bring it out for nostalgia. Otherwise I just emulate

Yeah I actually felt 3rd was easier compared to FU. I still love both though.
Definitely easier. The weapon types are a lot more balanced, and all weapons have a new move sets that make life easier for the hunter. Most importantly, hitboxes are a lot more accurate to what's on screen.
@one one, yes true. I was a bit dissatisfied when I finished all the Guild quest. Besides that still good experience though
@@TripleCartsHunter Haha. I was gravely disappointed that without the G rank came also the lack of all the G-rank armors from MH Tri that vastly outclasses the high rank armors in terms of looks.
p3rd was easier than fu.
for one because you can farm phelagicite ore in the forest letting you make some strong low-rank weapons and village jhen is extremely easy to farm giving you well rounded weapons and armor for early high-rank.
also better weapon balancing along with tighter hit boxes and the exhaust mechanic make every hunt a walk in the park.

I played this in the wrong order, i reached HR3 first and then starting to doing village quest because i don't even know that women near the stairs have quests for us 😂

Nah, its not a joke(i also have a bias towards mhfu) despite the improved combat and graphics there's less content in mhp3rd. not saying it's a bad game, I'm just saying MHFU is better, more maps/monsters/weapons/armor/ranks/quest

Also P3 LBG better than FU LBG (so many mons prone to pellet, and double elemental boost in endgame armor makes it easy to speedrun/stunlock)
Gameplay sure, but the game have less content. Loved the new weapon moves

It's easy cuz if u study all the monsters attack moves they can't kill you
Its easy cuz the hitbox is normal and monsters doesn't do huge damage + the bath house is really easy to access
