    There is supposed to be a toolkit to put in there. As a matter of fact, I just bought a brand new 701 and didn't even know about that hidden box until watching your video, so thanks!👍 There is a spot in the bottom of your seat to snap a #30(I think) 90° torx wrench into, which allows you to take off that side panel to get to your main toolkit.

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  2 года назад

      No problem. I bought mine second hand from a husky dealer so I assume the previous owner removed it. I wasn’t aware of it myself until I took the side panel off. I could have chased the dealer for it along with the rear passenger foot pegs I believe should be supplied but wasn’t impressed with the dealer service so didn’t bother.

    There is a toolkit that comes with the bike it when new and a small torx that clips to the underside of the seat to access it. Bit of a faff to get to but saves me carrying it. Clearly the person you bought from kept the kit

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  Год назад

      Yeah that’s what I thought.I got it from a Husky/KTM dealer as the previous owner had traded it in.
      So you would have thought they would have done a proper check on the equipment. The rear pegs were missing as well.

    • @peterroberts7074
      @peterroberts7074 Год назад

      I bought mine new, as I had been stung on a previous Husky that also had the toolkit missing. You get a separate box with the bike which contains a good tool roll, rear foot pegs etc. No manual or paperwork any more as it’s all electronic. I went back to the dealer on the second hand bike and they have loads of spares, so got the tools off them for nothing. If you need foot pegs, happy to send you mine. Keep up the video’s.

      I hadn’t planned on taken the baffle out as it’s pretty fruity as it is. Although now you’ve mentioned it I will take it out and compare.
      There’s nothing much in the pipe line for the duke at the moment. I’m at a stage where I don’t want to change much more. It sure as hell doesn’t need modding in the performance department.
      But never say never lol.
      The big plan is to ride it more this year.

    Hi
    Will it work correctly if SAS is removed? I'm thinking of ordering a wings exhaust, but the entire SAS system has been removed. I don't know if this is not harmful to the engine.

      Be ok. SAS is just for the vapour emissions from the fuel tank so doesn’t really make a difference with performance.

    02:55 KTM dealership did the same to me and when I mentioned it they gave me my tool kit at the first service. Shouldn’t be without them in the first place.
    Did you have any issues with legality / MOT with the wings in your Husky?

      I bought the bike second hand from a Husky dealer. I wasn’t aware of them having a tool kit until I took the panel off. I assume the previous owner removed it or it was never there in the first place maybe.
      I never got pulled over or had issues with the sound. The bike wasn’t due an MOT so not sure on that one. I can’t recall if the wings pipe is legal or not to be honest.

    Hey mate, what year is your bike, is it Euro5? I've just picked up a brand new 2022 701 and I really want to go with Wings pipe, but I've heard a lot of mixed things out there about the fact that Wings is cat less, and if it is cat less, it would require an ECU Flash/remap... Can you please tell me how yours is running? Did you have to do an ECU flash? OR, was it enough with just this Fuel Dongle?? Any concerns after the fact?? And by fuel dongle, do you mean the (O2 optimizer 701/690 2021+) ??Thanks for any help, im really struggling with making a decision on this.. and i do not want to get the wrong exaust and then have problems as these things are not cheap lol

    • @Robbiemoto
      @Robbiemoto  2 года назад

      Hi. Mine is a 21 Euro 5.
      I’ve had no problems at all with the exhaust or the O2 optimiser( fuel dongle). The bike has ran fine. No reflash required. The exhaust is the end can only so the bike still retains the cat. I haven’t replaced the Down pipe which is where I believe the cat is.
      Unless you’re changing the down pipes or altering the angle of them most bikes will run fine with just changing the end can. My 1290 has had the end can replaced no remap was required. In fact it was the dealer that recommended the exhaust.
      If you check on the Husqvarna website they sell Akrapović or Remus end cans for the 701 so swapping out the exhaust shouldn’t be an issue.
      configurator.husqvarna-motorcycles.com/main/configuration/M-701SUPERMOTO2022/categories/?culture=en-GB&country=GB&variation=F2603V3
      I hope this is of some help. For peace of mind you can always ask your dealer.
      Enjoy your new ride.

      @@Robbiemoto Hey, thanks for the reply, yeah the reason I am asking this is because on the Wings website, it specifically mentions under the read more section that the Wings pipe = "no cat inside therefore much cooler running" so its cat less and I guess the catalytic converters are somewhere in the end can or something, I seen also that exhausts like "leo Vince" or "remus" and such they do market those as compliant and do have a Cat somewhere so this is where my worries originated, I guess Wings also mentions info about this so it seems like not messing with air box might not have a problem. I will prob risk it anyway and go with Wings anyway.

    • @Logsi27
      @Logsi27 2 года назад +1

      @@Tdmotoss Cat is in the existing can. Fitted the Powerparts Remus exhaust yesterday and the reason it's so costly is due to having a cat link pipe. This slots into the remus slip on.
      On the back of the stock pipe it also have the word "CAT" imprinted on it.

      @@Logsi27 Thanks, yeah, I don't want a Cat, it just clogs the engine up more. I already got the wings on my bike and i absolutely love it, These engines don't deserve to have a catalytic converter. But yeah, gotta be legal, at least until it leaves the "store" ;)
