It’s really a damn shame that this game got pretty much axed because of it being an “Overwatch clone” which couldn’t be further from the truth. It was a hero shooter....that’s where the similarities end. It was truly an amazing game that I wish got more love that it should have deserved but what can you do I guess.

Sounds to me like 20/20 hindsight says Battleborn was the superior game over Overwatch. All I've seen is people angry at Blizzard for not making a Battleborn-like PVE mode. I've never played Overwatch so I can't speak to it. But I did spend many wonderful hours playing Battleborn and it was funny, difficult and you are right Incursion was awesome. My brother and I used to play it against the bots avoiding all the bells and whistles like the Thralls and man did we have a ball. Kind of miss it now.
PS: The elf Thorne was probably the most powerful character in the game. My brother used to annihilate all comers playing her.

Character and game design wise battleborn was way more interesting to me than overwatch. I don't understand where things went wrong. I mean you play a character in overwatch the same way everytime. But battleborn you could choose different augments for different maps.
It's the toxic Smurf community that owned this game. They would try to friend you on their Smurf account and if they see you online and find out what your social media accounts are, they would counter your loadouts, making the game less fun.
This is just one example, the other is that they got grudges towards one another and are into gossip like a bunch of lame teenagers at an adult age. Most of them moved on to Destiny 2 and whatever social media is trending like Among us, with other accounts. They pretend they have a life but they don't.
I can go on but it doesn't matter anymore. They were suppose to release 5 new characters. Nova was one of them. Even if they decide to release a 2nd game in a far future, I still won't support it. I'm getting tired of the stress trolls put into competitive games. I'm planning on quitting soon if I don't see positive results after 2021. They really need Jesus.

First one failed so bad, second one is not coming. I don't even want to know how much money they lost with battleborn.
It really sucks they didn't release this another time. I would've been really open for it because it had some really great dialogue(the spider was amazing). Loved the sword-and-shield-wielding soldier gal. She was both fun and awesome design-wise. I hope they make a remake or sequel to Battleborn because the only reason it failed so terribly was poor timing.

Battleborn is completely unplayable in any capacity as of January 31st, 2021. This includes the Single-Player content. I would still hold on to the physical copies you own though as someday they MIGHT make an offline or P2P patch for the game, but until they do (if they ever do), it's worth about as much as the dirt on your floor.
In my personal opinion, Battleborn could have become the Switch's Hero Shooter long before Overwatch came to the system and it could have had a second life there.
Unfortunately that wasn't the case, and all the hard work the developers and players put into the gameplay, the characters and the world of the game is now null and void.

I didn't want Overwatch to kick Battleborn's ass that badly. I like Battleborn and, hell, I like Paladins way more than I do Overwatch. I guess I'm just biased against Overwatch because I've never liked a Blizzard game. That, and I don't like capturing points or moving payloads. In comparison to Battleborn's presentation of objectives Overwatch is super lame.

I think that if Overwatch didn't purposely buy out all the ad time around it release so no one knew about Battleborn that it honestly would of done better than it. It was a soild and polished game as where Overwatch at its release was basically a 60 dollar beta
