Mate, that is one beautiful sword. We see improvement since the previous elven swords you made. If I may though, I really think you should add a pin (or 2) in the handle so the blade is not only hold by epoxy in the said handle.
Beautiful blade lad, I don’t know how you manage to get a sword to fit a non existent style so well but you do. Although I’d recommend you put a few tang pins in for security, and I’d strongly advise against wearing gloves around anything spinny. Such as lathes, belt sanders, saws and drills.
Thank you, my friend! Every support is much needed. Due to private reasons I didn't prepare new videos but there will be coming soon in the future! Markus
@@blendersmith Ah, yeah! That's good choice indeed. It's kinda forgiving what comes to bows for example, and like you said, long handles. Durable and so on🤗
Amazing work! Congrats! I'll try to do something very similar and your video Is a great support.. can you please tell us the final weight and balance point?
Beautiful sword but the lack of tang pins scares me. Epoxy is tough stuff no doubt but a couple of well placed pins would instill far more confidence in the blade.
Hello Robert, like you already said, you're absolutely right! Meanwhile I changed the implementation of the pins. The sword and the knives were my first protoypes :)
serious question, if i've learned anything from watching forged in fire, its that you don't quench the blade in water, which you seem to do. Is there a reason why?
You are right. But it always depends on the steel. There are many reasons to hardening in oil or water. Water has the disadvantage that gas bubbles can form more quickly in the blade, that is the reason why many blacksmiths won't do that. However, the steel I have used can be quench in water with ease.
amazing skill, dude, great work cos is a bit diferent of the original Pete Jackson high elves sword cos your sword is thin and with certain similitude with the sword of lord Elrond, congrats, a real work of art 😉
where can I purchase one? I've been looking for a high elven replica sword that's fully functional as well. are your Etsy shop prices correct? give me a response please or I can message you on your Etsy shop or if you have email let me know. thanks!
Hey! Unfortunately the etsy shop prices are correct at the moment. In oher words: The maerial costs and the associated time are not compatible to sell my stuff cheaper. I know that it is very high but I try to work on that. In September, I will probably do a little discount of 30%. Best regards Markus, the BlenderSmith
@@blendersmith I understand. I might have to wait till September lol but I've been looking for a functional high elven sword. Not many people make em. Figured they'd be popular
Very nice sword! Just a point of critique: Your title says you forge the sword but the only forging part you do is to make the curve of the bar. The rest is just stock removal. Maybe I'm nitpicking a bit here but it's a different technique
Hey, thanks for your interest. I'm currently working on an online shop but it is not finished yet. I will announce the release on one of my next videos then :)
excellent work, like a true elven blacksmith. But I don't understand why you just glued the blade and the knob. Making a fixed through tang the knob would have been much more solid. 💪🏻👋🏻
Perhaps this particular build was meant strictly for display. If that's the case then glueing would suffice for solidness. My bet is that due to the curvature of the handle, he wasn't able to do a full tang
I would like to buy that sword that you made in this video. I went to your website but it is in german(I believe). Could you reply to this email or send me a site that is in English? Thanks
This dude spent many hours of time building a very expensive wall hanger. It’s very beautiful but in combat that so it will never last on top of that. It’s just way too damn stinking heavy.
Mate, that is one beautiful sword. We see improvement since the previous elven swords you made.

my thoughts exactly, this blade is going to wobble as soon as it gets some serious action.
Beautiful blade, friend! The elves would be very proud! 👏👏👏👏

Finally.. someone built Haldir's sword.. thank you good sir!! this blade is gorgeous.. haldir would be proud!!!
Perfect!! Half hadhafang, half elven warrior sword. Congratulations 👏👏👏
so elegant sword , relaxing to see you do the craft, the take at the end with the fire place and music was excellent, thank you.
Simpley a work of art. Why have I only just found your channel? A bit of metal, a lump of, a ton of skill and wham, a stunning sword.
What a beauty. It's a work of art. Now the sword is ready to be imbued with some elven magic.
That is one beautifully crafted elven sword to go with the blades you’ve already made. Excellent work!
The entire way through this video my brain was playing the epic music during the reforging of Anduril. Absolutely beautiful work mate
Such an art. What a craft you have. 💯 Respect
Beautiful job!! That's a great forging you did there.😁
Great Work, Thank You For Sharing!
In my opinion the rat tail tang renders the blade unusable for anything serious.
However it is beautiful and I can see you do have skills 🖤
Lovely. Wonder how that would look with a wire wrapped handle.
Watching your videos gives me a new appreciation for weta workshop.
Thanks a lot! I admire their work too ^^
That blade looks beautiful
I am dying to see you making the Mirkwood Double-bladed Polearm? Can you make one?
Wow this is so awesome
you upload in 21:9 and for that I thank you, I now get to use my screen without black bars on the side
very nice indeed! Well done, Sir.
So love his sword. It is awesome.
Hadhafang? Awesome. Cool.
That's what I was thinking, even if the details are slightly different. :)
That is beautiful, I'm subscribing! Love from the UK!

So beautiful😭❤
Very nice. I would have put a pin in the handle for it to be better secured to blade
What wood did you use? Looks like maple, but even more light/pale.
I used ash for the grip. It ist a good wood for long grip sections.

The dream sword right here
Very cool 👍

Mine, too. 😁
Nice work. How much does the final product weigh?
Increíble 👏👏👏👏

I would like to know after having watched the video where you recreated the Elf fight knives and this sword where did you get the templates for them?
I made the templates by myself
Is there any possibility I could get you to send me a set for both the fighting knives and sword?
Very nice, but what did you name it?
@@kennyhagan5781 Elven Sword xD I didn't gave it a name sadly
no mechanical connection between the tang and the handle?
Sehr gute Arbeit!
great job

How long is the sword, and how long is the blade? Please reply.

Always great to see a person ruining a good file!
Would prefer to see the details in bright white light. I can’t see anything with that firelight.
Any vids with this thing in action?
Really cool! ☺️ How much time did you spend on this beautiful sword?

Can alloy rims for car be forged??
Dwarves are better than elf's you want to bow go to an elf you want a sword go to a dwarf but still great vid my brother
Ohhh Vita Cola?! 😆
In the event of an ork invasion im stopping by
i think the showcase at the end needs more lighting. I can see all the great details of the build
Beautifully made.
wow !!
What happened to the pin in the brass piece.. it's there then all of a sudden it's not there
Mirkwood infantry sword
Real question is “Will it Keal?”
Maybe "it will keal" ;)
How you cut out an elf sword
but it is weak to make a Cossack saber, if not, then do it, all the same it is a cold and terrible wet weapon
❤❤❤❤❤
Anyone else realize that this is Arwin’s sword?
Excellent smithing, can't wait for more content and hope you pick up more views and subscribes
Great
The handle tho.... OOF!
And finally we can barely see this sword.
That is hadhafang.. Arwens sword
Basically an elf katana
Try Orcrist next. Please.
Wer kommt auch von PLW?
So glad that this video didn't have the constant talking and the hillbilly-dudebro-metal music others have.
Tf is hill Billy dude bro metal?.. sounds like you don't know what you're talking about.
@@rockinHurley777 The kind of music that you see in car commercials. That's that redneck metal for dudebros talking about their pickup trucks.

Hi, James! I will reply to your email! I know, my website is outdated atm (I had not much time to translate it in english, but I will do it asap!)
@@blendersmith thank you. Your work is beautiful. How functional are the knives and swords
@@jamesbuquoi2990 Thanks! The knives and swords are all fully functional. For me, it is important that you can use them in movies or in show fights.

cut stuff with it.
Looks like an elf made it
Hallo kannst du mir auch so eine machen?😅 so können wir zusammen in Kreuzug gehen 😂!
I’ll never understand why a whole video is spent on how it’s made…..then only 30 sec of the finished product
Maybe cuz the title says " Forging an elven sword"? Ever thought of that?
Probably cause that is the interesting part!
Well, the title isn't "using a elf sword" let that simmer for a bit. If you have any questions let us know. 😂
u just answered your own question
It's about the journey; not the destination, my friend
uh can someone make me a real one :p
Man, I really hope you never swung this sword. No mechanical connection between the grip and blade = recipe for failure. Nice looking sword otherwise!
A proper Blade Smith would have forged the shape of the blade... cutting and grinding the shape of a blade is not black smithing or blade smithing
Boo! You don’t hand bevel your blades! Boo! Shame! Shame! Shame!
