@@jockwithajoysticklots of modern vehicles have an automatic shutoff system if the car is on sitting still for 30 minutes to prevent damage to the engine along with the electrical system. I’ve seen so many people try to label this as a little mistake or accident when it’s so much more than that. Or maybe someone would see her in the car and try to kidnap her. Annoys me so much this guy acts all devastated and won’t own up to his stupidity. This is much worse than simply forgetting the child. He actually purposely left her alone in the car parked on the street, and then “forgot” about her. It doesn’t get worse than that. Smh
So it was parked on the street? I had wondered about that. Not that a closed garage would be any better, but at least she wouldn't be at risk to predators. This guy sucks.
@LyleStyle87 I said a closed garage WOULDNT be any better. But yes, thank you.. rude. For the 5 seconds I was typing I forgot about carbon monoxide. 😬 🤣
He left her on the driveway and said he kept checking on her and saw her asleep. He said for 45 min. Turned out it was over 3 hrs. His video game was more important.
"a harsh charge?" No, he was rightfully charged. You don't just leave your child in a car to sleep while you play video games. That's pure negligence, period.
The problem is that 1st degree murder means premeditated. Even if neglectful, irresponsible, abusive, and careless, surely he did not plan out his daughter's murder in advance.
@@ragerDuane He had a history of doing this. He also intentionally left her in the car, he didn’t forget she was there. Not to mention he had been told by his Dr. wife to stop doing that. I’m thinking all this is why they consider it premeditated. Maybe they know more than we do and we will find out more later.
Yeah, but not first degree murder. That would mean he intentionally wanted her to die and left her in there on purpose. If he didn't do that then the charge is too extreme, no matter how awful it is that he caused the death of his daughter. I would say his anguish didn't seem very genuine to me so maybe there is something more to the charges.
Even separate from the heat: you don't leave your kid in a car unsupervised. Someone can easily steal the car with your kid in it and that is an even worse nightmare.
What if she woke up and was restrained and crying and daddy is nowhere around?! What if she was kidnapped cause she was left alone in a running car?!?! The absolute nerve of this guy!!! Shocked you’re being detained? 😫!
I hope she didn't cry to her father in pain while she was in the car and he was inside playing video games. It's gut wrenching that this "father" was more concerned about being called a murderer than the thought of his daughter crying to him for help and he didn't save her.
My baby has fallen asleep in the car and I didn’t want to wake her up (because without a nap those that have kids know how bad it is). So I just stayed in the car with her until she woke up. He could of done that too.
Yes, I did that once too. I sat in the front seat reading a book. We were parked in the shade with ALL 4 of the car's doors and windows open, and even then, it got hot enough in there that she woke simply because she was hot. I decided that was probably not the smartest thing for me to have done, and I never did it again.
She’s clearly got NO self worth, and unfortunately that extended to her concern for her children. This man is somehow priority #1 in her world. She places his comfort and well-being before hers and her children’s. It’s mind boggling.
Let me be very clear here; unless you have some kind of severe cognitive defect, you do NOT simply "forget that your kid was in the car." That just doesn't happen.
He knew not to leave her in the car. He regularly left all of his kids in the car even though his wife repeatedly told him not to. It’s inexcusable and unforgivable. I’m glad they’re charging him with 1st degree. We need to start sending the message to people that our society won’t tolerate these horrific deaths simply because some people can’t be bothered to prioritize the safety and wellness of their children
He's absolutely guilty! So immature, what kind of father does that?! He has a history of leaving his kids in the car...58 times?! Whats wrong with him!! Absolutely negligent
What is mind-blowing is that he has done this multiple times. He's more concerned with his video games and food than his own child. That already says a lot about this POS. He needs to go to prison.

It was over an hour round trip. haha This imbecile leaves his child in the car! I was worried about my cat! He was laying on the porch looking half dead and I picked him up and put him on the couch with the AC on.
His reaction seemed ingenuine, I suspect foul play. I wholeheartedly believe his actions were intentional. I am glad the justice system did not brush this off as an accident because it wasn't.
He did it regularly with the other kids too over 50 times. Text from wife indicated she knew about him doing it. It was 108 degrees in the car for 3 hrs.

How old is the father not to realize the risk of leaving the child in the Car alone?
37!
He knew the risk, he was warned many times by his by his wife and the texts of those warnings will be in court, as will his older daughter, who lives with other family, who said he was drunk and dangerous. She wants to testify as she feels this was a horror waiting to happen.
Old enough to have a child.

It wasn't a case of intentional homicide as far as I can tell, so I would assume the anguish is legitimate. Just incredible negligence on his part to leave a child in a car on purpose and not see the potential for death. How stupid can you be to do that smh

I’ve seen so many people try to label this as a little mistake or accident when it’s so much more than that.
