    Forgot to say, it is a great song at the end, lyrics are very meaningful, as I understand that is the “dance of a life/living together”.

    As a songwriter I have to say that sounds like a beautiful song. Thank you also for sharing your tutorial on this amazing aspect of GarageBand. When I was a teenager I was holding a two track cassette recorders beside each other to record music ha ha. My God kids don’t even know what they have nowadays.

    Fantastic, man. I love that message music and the way you get into the singing. I had a music teacher once that said to me that singing within itself is a great joy.

    You and I are the same. We're good musicians but we're bad drummers! Although, I've got a new beatbox, which I'm extraordinary at. "I'm a very good driver." Loved this video. GB smart drums are amazing. I didn't realize how it offered granular changes to the beats and fills. Want to get good at GB? Watch this video.

    As a drummer, I would suggest using the toms for fills.

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  5 лет назад

      Yes, good call! Even with Drummer on the cymbals, the fills will often wander over to the toms, but I have since experimented with splitting and shifting more fills on to the toms on your advice and it is sounding better!

    Hi Pete! Thanks for all the information you provide for us the Garage Band Producers :D I have problem and I would love to know if you have a solution. When I edit a little part of drums (using drummer of course), all the other parts change automatically!! And this is driving me nuts!! Once I get one piece to sound as I want, all the other have already changed!! I see that you don’t seem to have this problem on this video. One solution that I thought is to convert every new bit of drums to MIDI, but that is a lot of work! I hope you could give me some light on this! Cheers from Mexico!!

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  Год назад

      Hey there. So, what I do with Drummer is make sure I chop the Drummer segments up in to chunks that correlate with the song. Just use the split tool. That way you can make day a 2 bar section, get it sounding perfect, then move on to the next one and it won’t change the other section. ruclips.net/video/ueEaHLsRLPs/видео.html

    Hi Pete, thanks for all the great videos. I was wondering if there is a way to convert the virtual drummer to MIDI in GarageBand IOS? I can't figure it out.

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  3 года назад +1

      Unfortunately not. Even though it’s pretty much a virtual instrument, GarageBand treats it as an audio track.

    hey mate nice hat.... is it possible to lock in these drums and move them around where they won't adjust to position in the measure? I added a 6/8 section to my outro that doesn't resolve back to a 4/4 "one" and my drummer is all out of whack.... I've tried merging but the track comes up silent.... tried merging with the bass that kick and snare was following and only hear the bass.. .tried unfollow and still silent. I feel like I've merged entire songs before that included the drummer but now nothing will capture the drums... any ideas? thanks

    I don’t know if at the end your same time but on the last part when you finish and you hold the note.
    You should put three other voices and hold it on Harmony to
    The harmony should go lower notes and then another lower notes and then the last want too lower note . For example.
    The first one should be a measure after the first time note
    I think it’s one Measure or something like that.. And then the second one and the third one should do the same thing after the first harmony. one measure after that the second harmony then one measure after that the third harmony.
    I think it would sound cool.
    Once you have all the harmonies. Keep it on hold to finish.
    . Sorry about my typing. It’s really hard to dictate my messages this is Carlos the blind guy
    I wish I can just send a voice message. It would be easier. Let me know if you do Facebook or something like that messenger.

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  5 лет назад

      Interesting concept - I like it! I did play around with more harmonies originally but my voice was going and I just couldn't hit the notes in the right way, so it was making it sound muddy and overdone. I might give it one more try before the final version.
