Extraction From Mortality is one of my top 5 metal albums.
Right up there with Cherry Pie, Slippery When Wet, Hysteria, and Winger's self-titled debut.
I would put up Extraction From Mortality and Sanity Obscure against any of the top 10 thrash albums. They are simply put....Brilliantly Fantastic!!
Oh and Kurt if you are seeing this (And I know it's a extreme long shot) please release 4of5 and 5of5.
Yeah... I had this cassette in my christian stash of thrash back in the day...Thankyou Shane for bringing back those memories for us brother
"Extraction from Mortality" is an epic Thrash record.
This is their most aggressive album. Raw, fast, powerful. This is my favorite album by them. Their first three albums are excellent.
Extraction from Mortality and Sanity Obscure are by far the BEST albums by Believer... The riffs and cords are killer, killer solos with dark and inspiring lyrics.
I had Believer's demo tape which had a bit different version of this song. It was great in lo-fi, but when this monster came out, they put in some production value and totally killed it. This whole things is just pure aggression. Reminded me of Pestilence, Sacrifice, Kreator, and Sepultura back in "the day". Other perfect tracks on here are "Vile Hypocrisy" and "Shadow of Death". If it wasn't for the last track "Stress" this would be 10/10 for me. The track is okay, but a little weird with old school punk, jazzy interludes, and some record wicky wicky scratching.
After this is when they got signed to Roadrunner records with other favorite bands of mine like Obituary, Suffocation, Deicide, and Gorguts.
Great song and reaction!
Rise up, so you can take a stand against the schemes of evil
Courage, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power
Struggle, not for flesh and blood but against dark forces
Rulers and authorities of sin from the spiritual world
Attack, oppose the Prince of Death in the heavenly realms
Power from the armor, you must stand your ground
We will UNITE AS ONE
We'll stand and FIGHT AS ONE
Take up the potent shield of faith with which you can extinguish
Flaming arrows of the one who seeks to slay the chosen
Uphold the double edged sword which is the Living Word
Piercing unlike any other blade judging thoughts and actions
Weapons of divine power to destroy all strongholds
Fighting the good fight of faith intent on final conquest
Join us disciples of the light in this spiritual warfare
Take hold of eternal life saving souls from Hell
THIS is the album I'd recommend to anyone to check out Believer.
I don’t know if you check comments on older videos, but you should definitely check out the title track for this album, extraction from mortality. It’s got a very nice symphonic intro.
Good stuff!!!
here's a request TONGUES OF FIRE by DIVINE RIGHT featuring KEVIN BRANDOW 1988 they released 3 cassette tapes and Kevin released a 18 song CD with alot of the song on the cassette tapes
It was a little all over the place for me but I didn't hate it....
Killer band and an epic album. Check the whole thing out!
Another band I liked and still like; however their newer stuff starting with Gabriel, I didn't like. Dies Irae is Latin for "Day of Wrath". It is their attempt at being "Trans Siberian Orchestra". It's like a mix of classic orchestra with heavy metal. Sanity Obscure is also a good album and song. Dimensions, their 3rd album and not as good as the previous 2 IMO; but the last songs were a huge orchestra-metal mix which I liked.
Good vid brother! If the mood grabs ya would you do another Torn Sky song ? Cover of an Alice in chains tune , them bones ! Thanks buddy
Gonna do it my dude, not gonna lie it might 3-4 week out but I will checkout Them Bones for you, hold tight!
Awesome , thanks Shane! Your the man 💪
Shane ...What do I have to do to get my song played on your channel ?....I have already signed on to Patreon....I want to have the video song of Vengeance Rising "You Cant Stop It".. Played...what can I do to make this happen brother ?
Hey just so you know I have replied to you at Patreon, I get to the requests as quick as I can sooooooo yeah it's on the way man.
To bad their page on Apple Music got hijack by another artist
The chorus is a little catchy.
A little indulgent. The vocals are a little unintelligible. The drum beat is too punkish. They have much better songs until they went atheist on their last two albums, Gabriel and Transhumanism.
