OMG please put part 2!!!!!!!! if you do you would be so awesome!!! please i cant wait!!!
Interesting and Inspiring, tnx ; )
i like how hes talking like hes on a survival show
440,000 calories burnt in 12 weeks. this means more than 5,200 per single day. that seems quite impossible to me.
and john is not a "person like you and me" or an "average joe". he might be kind of an average long distance triathlon athlete, but never ever is he average compared to "average joe". his VO2 max is far above an average person!
I agree with you. 64 ml/kg of VO2 max is quite good. The average person should have not more then 45!
it is possible by training your cardio for 4-5 hours per day.. some people have this time and luxery
He's not exactly average..he's pretty fit
they take the first two minutes to prove he is average
Any chance someone has access to part 2... it was up a year ago...
He's not average. In order to hide him being above average they probably purposefully didn't test his blood lactate, which is the true measure of a persons athletic ability. Someone can have an average VO2 max, but they're blood lactate could be that of an elite athlete. Also to make him more like the average american, they should have chose someone who is obese since nearly 50% of american are overweight or obese.
Preparing for an ironman long distance race is much more then just swim bike run... you need proper neutrition, hidratition, stretching and foam rolling. If you miss one you will have a hard time for sure. Dobt think this fella cares about most of these.. like an average joe... hmmm
Holy shiat his swim time is FAST!
Wheres part 3?
They said he's an average athlete, not an average man!!!
How Can I do in a Race like this? I can't even Swim. XD
Draft city at 5:29.
this guy is definetly not avarage
maybe avarage weight, or height, but he's not avarage
My dad just went to that
V02 max leaves out one thing though heart which is one the most important parts of triathalons iv never done an Ironman but I’m a highly competitive triathlete underage and compete at national level and this is my opinion
So in 12 weeks, he runs 380 miles. 12/4 = 3 months then 3 / 380 miles => 127 miles per month. 127miles per month for an average person, lol. Thats IS impossible for an average person. Remember, he still have to run and bike.
@johncenafan112 that`s right what you say..I was about to say that as well
only 3 months training prior to Kona Ironman?? No wonder he's injured already
>John Brenkus
Is it just me, or does this sound like a mispronunciation of a name by Dr. Steve Brule?
Why the fuck was my comment marked as spam? Was only trying to help.
maybe they mean average in terms of athletes that compete/train just saying lol
I just found out, watching this video, that I, a 15 year old male, am taller and heavier than john
i also found out that i, a 13 year old male, am taller (but not heavier) than John...Then again, i am two inches taller than the average male nowadays
