I Bought a Car Without a Title, Now What?

No title? But only $1000 for a 2011 Audi A6 3.0T, would you have bought it?
Well, I did and then I figured out how to get the title after jumping through a few hoops. In this video I'll show you the process of getting a NEW title for a vehicle in Nevada. If you EVER buy a car without a title, you must first verify that the person selling the car is in fact the owner. Often times people will try to sell a car without a title because the vehicle is actually bank owned meaning, they still have a loan out on it. In this case, you will NEVER get the title, don't even try.
But in the case of the owner lost the title or didn't have one produced after they paid their loan off then it is possible to get the title.
In this exact situation, the lady paid the vehicle off fully and then the dealership was not able to produce her a title. So, they gave her a loan payoff statement that was notarized. This is a great supporting document, but make sure you get a bill of sale and any other documentation you can like a registration or something showing the original owner with a matching name as the person selling it.
Again, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM SOME ONE IF THEY ARENT THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND DON'T HAVE A TITLE.
After that I had to go to the DMV and nicely ask about what my next steps would be in the process for this. Keep in mind I already spent $250 at #702DMVServices and they told me they couldn't get me a title, but they were also going to keep my money after saying they could get it.
So, the next steps were to have a Statement of Fact filled out and to have a VIN inspection on the vehicle, which required me to tow it to the DMV and then back to the house.
After that I brought back all my supporting paperwork along with the vin inspection and statement of facts. Waited for about 20 mins while 3 different managers had to come and approve it and then was charged $29 for the official title of the vehicle, which came in about 3-4 weeks.
Now that I have the title, it's time to sell the car as I don't have time or interest in this vehicle. It was a mistake to buy and has been a huge headache ever since, plus I am still rebuilding the white A6 that is in my garage.
