What could go wrong.
73k?? jesus..
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!!
Color is actually called Arrow Gray
@@elcuh9976 still cheaper than new trucks
Honestly forgot that this car existed. If you ever see one in person, it’s massive. I remember first seeing a current gen A6 and thinking it’s an A8. Awesome video!!
I love my 2018 s6! I get a lot of love!
One could only imagine how huge the A8/S8s are
“Audi still has my favorite lock sound”
*ungraceful GM triple honk in the background*
Lol
I went back and checked it
22:10
"Remember we're still on winter tires here" proceeds to squeal the tires on 90% of the on-ramp 🤣 loving it
I love that my old s6 c5 has 4.2 v8, manual transmision and its reliable and not expensive to maintain but next to this it looks like a wheelchair... This is absolutely another level car
The newer Audis have my favorite interior chimes. The sounds are very similar to the hi-lo tones some airliners play when an ACARS text message is sent to the cockpit with weather or ATC instructions. Very cool.
@@LibertyGunsBeerTrumpor SAAB
@@LibertyGunsBeerTrumpSASB by far. If I don't put my seat belts on the chime is exactly like an airplaine and there's a red sign "FASTEN SEATBELTS" 😂 On my BMW I've coded in the Rolls Royce sounds 🤣
I miss the 4.0L V8 in the previous generation S6, but I still love this 2.9L V6 that is pretty much the same engine in the RS 4, RS 5, and Porsche Macan Turbo and GTS. It's a lovely engine.
Mate, at least you don’t have the diesel we get in the uk s6 & s7 :(
@@benjaminparks2773 The Diesel are not bad. Super torquey and they actually doesnt sound bad
@@laurentweyandt yea i prefer the diesel one more
@@benelux128 its absolute crap... having a diesel engine in s6 is bullshit. How can anyone prefer diesel next to petrol in such car?? Petrol is faster and it sound right.. common just dont give me that diesel has more torque bullshit cause no matter what you do with a map petrol engine will destroy it always
@@MarkoMarkovina youre right for the S6 I think they have to go with petrol, v8 or some. But I drive the C7 gen A6 in germany with the diesel Bi Turbo engine, twin turbo. Have 340 hp/480ftLBS like the recent S6. But for A6 its the right engine. good acceleration but when you drive it normal I get 38-40 mpg so you cant beat that hahah one of the reason i got this hahah when you floor it and race it you never go under 23 mpg ;)
I love the way that this is a no-bs car. Everything is as it should be, even though the climate controls are on a screen, it has its own screen. Real door handles, volume knob, buttons on the wheel. I personally think the route that Mercedes and BMW are taking with putting massive screens on everything is just extremely cheap and tacky. This is a little more subtle and not so in-your-face with the screens. Such an amazing car
That first burble that came out I immediately smiled ear to ear - God I love Audi's exhausts!
A twin turbo, Super charged, and hybrid German car..for the love of god, only LEASE this thing.
and after the lease is up, where does the car go?
@@ronaldmcdonald9322 probably to someone who doesn't know any better and thinks they are getting a steal of price when this thing depreciates like the titanic.
@@ronaldmcdonald9322 it’s no longer your problem 🤷🏻♂️
It's a mild hybrid, that is not electrified... and why would a twincharged engine have to be unreliable? Newer Audis, especially the A6s are well built and have quite decent reliability records
@@jodu9965 agree. People are basing their opinions on audi's of 20 years ago. There have been no reports of engine issues with this TT V6.
In Germany (and I think the rest of europe) it comes with a 3L 344hp TDI engine, which is also in the top model of the regular A6, absolutely shameful...
Yep its a joke in Europe, only people who gets them on a company lease drives S6’s here in Sweden.
Yes is true it’s a bad but I have one. With 350hp is ok but a petrol is more sporty then a Diesel.
I don’t think that you’ve ever driven one and you can decide what you think of it once you’ve lived with it. I don’t agree with the engine choice either but it’s still fast.
Picked up an off-lease 2018 Prestige for half the price of this test car almost three years ago back when they had the 4.0T V8, a 7spd dual clutch, and way more real buttons inside. It’s amazingly comfortable, smooth, and powerful. The original RS7 always overshadowed the old C7 generation S6 and S7, but they’re a way cheaper way to get the 4.0T V8 (albeit detuned) with a sportier transmission that’s still ultra smooth.
Facts
Audis are reliable and have been for the better part of two decades. It's been top 10 brands for the better part of 10 years so I'd say you're pretty safe. Parts are still expensive though when they break
such a beautiful interior, ahead of the time as it came out in late 2017, years later all premium cars are doing it too
This interior came out in 2019
@@t8506 2018 a7's have it
@@t8506 no 2018 models have this interior
I’m surrounded by RS6’s where I live, they look and sound amazing… then I see numerous Rivians drive by on the daily, and think to myself electric/hybrid is the way to go for the next purchase (which the S line is supposedly all moving towards).
Now, to rob a bank to afford a new car…
Man these Audi's are just different they look so good & are super fast
I think in S6 spec with those huge wheels it might be the best looking A6 ever, honestly. It just looks so right, the stance is perfect, and it’s so clearly a descendent of the C5 gen.
Unless its a V8, no need to rev. Awsome car, my fav in that class being the drivers car and the most understated.
Audi's attention to detail is remarkable.🌟🌟
I like it, that engine and exhaust combo is actually kinda nice. But I think the C6 with the V10 was the best one they made hands down.
Kids today, so enamoured with the trinkets.
Love the more traditional approach to dashboard design. Everything perfectly integrated rather than one large tablet or screen.
$91,000 though 😮
Also a lot of a car
That's for the complete package but realistically you don't need red velvet seats
I can count on 1 hand the # of S6s from this generation I have seen on the road; same for S7. But I see SQ5s & S5 sportbacks all over the place.
Same here, I wish there were more ownership videos as well
17:00 can be watched so many times and one wouldn't get bored of it :)
Glad you mentioned "winter tires" as I was a bit disappointed there.
I have a 2013 S6 with the 4.0t (has a stage one APR tune). I may or may not be in the minority and obviously biased, but I MUCH prefer the C7/7.5 generation over this. The sound of the 4.0t is part of it, but the looks, both inside and out, to me, are so much nicer in the older cars. I am not a fan of all touch screens everywhere, and that feeling carries over to all of these new Audi's with the screens. The outside just looks much more elegant and sporty in the older cars (for me). I don't dislike the new cars, but I much prefer the older. I don't see myself carrying over to a newer Audi when the time comes.
Yeah the C7 S6 to me was the best looking and overall had the best engine ~ that 4.0L V8 was just bliss 👍👍 I think most people prefer the C7 generation over the C8 but the C8 is still a good car.
@@TonyKimtheamusementparkfan Yeah, I don't dislike the C8, but I hate the touch screens. I just prefer the C7 all around. I wouldn't kick a C8 S6 outta bed though ;-)
2013 S6 interior is unbeatable. These newer cars don’t even come close to it
i think V6 is better for people that do alot of miles per year, the EU version is even better because its V6 TDI of course for mileage not driving pleasure even if the V6 TDI is enough for sporty everyday driving in all situation
@@remstesthd6784 why? What makes it better? It's not getting substantially better mileage. The design elements of the cars are more than enough to steer me towards a car that may even have slightly less mpg. Simply put, the C7 line looks and sounds better
the a/s6 interior is so near perfect
What a beautiful car. The BnO sound system sounds excellent also. I love Audi.👌🏽🔥🔥
That laugh: "ha ha ha ha"; I love it :)
Very nice job with my dream vehicle dude.
this car is a fast cruiser which is totally fine, it does that well. i wouldn't spec it to 90k though lol.
Right you already get a lot of car for the base $70,000 probably would just spec some driver assistance options paint and the black package
i wish this was also available in europe
I picked up a black 17 s6 with 33k on odo. Crazy to think it was 70k new. 4.0 TT is phenomenal
For the same price tag you’ll get M550 that comes with V8, Xdrive and has more tech options. That explains why those S6 are rarely seen on roads. I have Q7 2023 and M6 F12 2018 in my garage, and love both brands. Nice review!
I'm really torn btw audi and bmw, which is a better car in yr opinion?
@@haremking7256 depending on your budget and what exact model you are considering buying, brother. It’s a rhetorical question tho.
Does it come in 30 year mortgage?
Need to check one out in person.
5:55 that piano black is nightmare. Why wont they get rid of it ??
The only thing I can afford is a scale model of this car to decorate my room :(
Very good car, and probably the only car that looks better in avant version, rs6 avant 630hp is insane!!!
The RS6 is drop dead gorgeous. The wheel flares just make it look so much more muscular.
audi’s infotainment design always reminds me of grand turismo
This gen and previous gen interiors are a huge win for Audi. And I'm definitely not an Audi fan since they went full VW mid 2000's.
I have one myself, the bad thing about this car is the presens system that is totally bad and the file-assist that is dangerous, when it's turned off, the car is fantastic.
Can you pls drive the rs7 sportback pos🔥
12:43 I felt that rear wheel steer. it is weird :)
A thing of beauty!
The fact that Audi discontinued one of their best engines in this generation S6 is such a shame. The previous S6 was faster - from 0-60mph and in the 1/4 mile.
Awesome power but the turbo failures were a nightmare.
putting an rs4 engine in this was a killer move
This is the RS4/RS5 engine lol.
I have similar car, not 2023 but 2020, car is absolutely awesome.
I leased this car back in 2020. E85 tuned it with a high pressure fuel pump. It was a beast to say the least.
You modified a leased vehicle? Did you purchase it at the end of the lease?
Yeah that’s a pretty dick move if you didn’t purchase at the end
@@Sumodeadliftsarefake69 Sold it to a guy who knew about it during the peak of the shortage and made 19k to my pocket. I would have returned the lease without feeling bad after. If you want a used car, take everything into consideration when purchasing one. its a dog eat dog world.
Can you do a review on the audi rsq3 sportback
we don't get that in the US unfortunately so he won't be able to do one.
Could you do a review on the 2022 Ford f150 super snake street truck the lower truckits the one with the crew cab
90k and no heated steering wheel, oh boy
It does have a heated steering wheel, you turn it on in the aircon settings in the bottom screen. My premium plus had it, no reason prestige doesn’t. You can map it to the steering wheel as the wheel has a macro.
@@MrBasically810 So inconvenient.
I'm more disappointed with no cooled seats :/
I actually like the A and S series cars
How about a TTS since you are doing a lot of Audi S’s lately?
Topher. You say that the paddle shift response is not the fastest. What cars would you say are up there in speedy shifts? And from the Audi family can you name another model that feels like it shifts faster? Great vid! Thanks
I’m not him, but the S3/RS3 use a dual clutch, which shifts much faster. The 8 speed in the RS5 is also reported to be quite responsive.
idk here u from but if u got snow season do pov snow video
In Poland ( and probably in whole europe) the s-model's is only available with 3.0 diesel engine 😢
I miss real buttons 🥺
V6 petrol for S6 sadly not available in EU only diesel…
I have an issue with almost all cars lately last 5 years with massive rotors . Seems to me there all terrible , and warp faster then usual . Sure it might be ok for 20k but is it really worth it
Twin charge BABAY!
Looking forward to getting one but id love for this is be an actual hybrid.
The s6 as we should have gotten it in europe as well, working exhaust tips, too.
Great Car review and I love my Audi. One thing I wanna mention unrelated to your review is that After living in Farmington hills, Michigan area for about 3 years and now Living in Germany, I kinda Hate the quality of US roads compared to German ones. Like seriously so many cracks and potholes. lol
Gopher talks a lot and is very deliberate with the tun signal!
Instead of a V6 they should've given the detuned version of the 4.0 V8 a la Panamera GTS. They did the same vs SQ7/8 it'd only make sense if they did the same for the S6/7 as well.
Why
I wonder how this v6 compares to the ‘23 s5
Which do you think is fastest between the c7.5 4.0T vs the new 2.9 V6?
The 4.0L V8 previous gen did 0-60mph in 3.7s. The new generation takes 3.9s. Old one also has far more modding potential.
Man here in Europe we only have the s6 as diesel thats so sad
guys i just drank a coffee after 3 days without caffeine and i feel so GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!
Hello topher I like this video is it possible if you can do a review on the 2023 audi rsq3 sportback
we don't get that car in the US
4:04 "For everything else you get a physical button"? Where? It's all glossy touchscreens. Physical switchgear was one of the things I thought Audi would keep, but I guess they were just following the trend late. Not great, and a cheap engineering substitute.
Fingerprints everywhere!
The fake engine noise is gross. They could just tune the exhaust to sound nice without attempting to make it harsh. Late to the burble game, as well. I would ask that to be tuned out.
These screens have existed for years.
The buttons on the steering wheel and on the lower console.
The engine noise isn't fake.
Only the TDI version has a fake engine noise.
Ya turbo engines don’t last so buy new and repeat every two years 😂
We get these with 3.0 TDI in Europe. It makes no sense when you can go for a regular A6 55 TDI
does it have active exhaust system?
I don’t get why you need a “sport” package on the s6…it’s already the sportier version.
It’s so funny that in Europe the S6 has a diesel engine instead (that goes like hell though)
I don't have much knowledge about automatic transimssion, but I noticed the pedal shifters have some lag when you press them. Idk if it works like that or you need to configure the response time.
Great video! Looking forward to the night drive, Subscribed!
Audi makes the best cars for performance and style that is under $100K
Great sounding engine!
What was the song he played tho??
Lovely! I am thinking about an A4 40 TDi s tronic soon with 190hp and 400nm used as a wagon.
Very fast and refined car
I had it as a rental (not S6, just the standard A6) and absolutely hated all those screens and no physical buttons.
Which rental company rents out the A6?
@Yoshiaki K. it was in Poland, I don't know if you can rent it in US.
@@ahogQ Ah ok, thanks for the reply. I guess cars like the A6 are much more common in Europe. Here in the USA most rentals are Toyota, Hondas, Chevy etc
@@yoshiakik.5332 I rented A4 from Hertz in US before
how does it compare to the new i7 with its comfort smoothness etc ??
It's not in the same class.
If u wanna sit up u gotta have the neck strength…this car is fast be careful if u have this beast
Damn 91k for an S6, car prices are getting crazy.
Exactly what I was thinking
i dont like the fisheye when showing the exterior
looks nice but they didnt match the bumper colors with the rest of the car. I know plastic is hard to color match metal but sheesh
This will be a nice $30,000 car in three years.
That´s why buying used is the best
A used 2020 S6 is still well over $60k so good luck with that.
@@gregs8685 a quick Google search and I found one for $44k. Try again.
@@gregs8685 Here in Norway the cheapest used S6 is 90k USD (driven 49k km). wtf
it doesnt deserve of the name of S6, this is a package for A6.
it does though
Heated seat and wheels are something I personally hate. I would just like air condition seats, nothing in the wheel, adds too much cost
how livable are the 35 profile tires in Michigan? Thinking of moving there with a similarly equipped VW.
It’s definitely risky. I’d have wheel/tire insurance or a downsized setup for winter/spring
I live in Michigan with my GTI on 40 profile tires. It’s doable but up to you.
Oh how I wish we still had the unleaded version in Europe 🍾😢
It sounds a bit like the 2.9 liter Ferrari V6 of the Alfa Romeo Giulia!
What watches are you wearing in the video, please?
Omega speedmaster
It's between this, a CT5, and a 550 for me.
Hell yeah!!!
