I think some bot detected assumed copyrighted audio when there wasn’t any that should’ve been flagged. It’s an issue that’s plagued YT ever since they started using bots to flag copyrighted content.
1:12:47 I think because the “oh fiddlesticks” fills in for missing audio files what’s happening is the NPC is trying to scream but their voice doesn’t exist
Whilst trying to recreate "wrong_turn.vmf" which if you didn't know is the Umbrella man's theme that you sometimes hear when it either chases you or is stalking you, I made a discovery. The actual theme itself is a distorted variant of an unused soundtrack in portal 2 simply called "Apple." I was messing around with it in FL studio when I realized that if you pitch down Apple by exactly 666 cents, you get wrong_turn. *How interesting.*
My theory is that after some point FSky gave up with their intentions of creating an artificial world and dissolved, before doing so they made sure to delete everything that they've done in the past trying to reach their goals by reprogramming the Umbrella Man to delete all Dynamic NPCs and hunt down the players that had relations with the DM Editor or those who created their own Dynamic NPCs at the past as well as people who found out about the ARG and investigate it. And these people who investigate the ARG using the interlope command on the console somehow sent data to FSky servers still running periodically which resulted in the devs on-time deciding to work together again (or at least some of them) to get rid of the investigators.
Hmm....my question about this one left us about FourTwo and other Fsky staff. Like how they respon each other like J.J, A.Y, and other illegible alias?.

the type 6 demos raise an interesting question of what the umbrellamen are doing to the dnpcs they catch. we all kind of assumed they were just killing them, but at the end of the hi-man type 5 he deforms and warps as he ragdalls a couple frames before the crash, almost similar to a crasher. im wondering if the type 6's we see potentially used to be sentient dnpcs that were caught and turned into crashers, and thats why we're able to see from their pov in type 6 demos, despite supposedly not being dnpcs
What I love about interloper is that not only is it technical and ran by a person who has vast experience in the source engine in general, but also is completely interactive when he released the Tuesday Manifest. Even when I explored it myself I was shocked by the amount of demos, the movements and the actions, the type 5, and the hard-coded bugs in some of them. It's incredible how well made and well thought this entire thing is.
I have a theory for the white room, I think that the white room is the same room where Mona was deleted in. We cant tell what room Mona was in due to the darkness. but it was probably a box being lit up by a single lightbulb and what do you know? the white room demo file is a box, being lit up by a single light bulb. The object in the middle appears to be a human skeleton, most likely the ribs, probably belonging to Mona. So the white room demo file is probably the aftermath after Mona gets deleted.
1:00:14 dude this jumpscare scared the hell out of me, it was so sudden and so random. i dont know if it was meant to be a jumpscare but it sure did scare me
Ok, i dont see anyone else saying this so ill have to do. Hi, i am a Norwegian man, and im here to translate something. When they look into the box and TheWhat says that its random letters like the ELx, it isnt. It says "Hjem" with an wrong faced way J, Hjem in Norwegian means "Home", i dont know if this has any significance, but i thought i would just say, and ill gladly translate anything else if needed :)
It's likely to be significant, since it establishes another link between Eida (Who most likely wrote this text, and is thus probably Norwegian) and Fsky (Which was almost certainly a Norwegian company, since what little we see of their URL seems to end with ".no"). So it's basically reinforcing something which we already assumed.
@@BackwardsPancake yes, thats like around my thoughts when i saw it, that was also why i was screaming at my tv when he didnt care to try and translate it😂(PS: FSky is definitely Norwegian since it also says as a slogan "Server hosting og teknologi for deg" which means "Server hosting and technology for you")
I wonder if it's possibly more significant than that, being that it's in that hollow cube. Assuming Eida made and wrote that message, what if it's almost like a label for Mona, saying this is her home now. The fact the floor is the same checker flooring and the single light that is in his goodbye video, then also an error model coming towards and crashing the player, much like how an error model deleted Mona. And the crash even directs the light data to Jan's/Eida's computer directory. I might be completely off base though.
@@its_an_inkstar Im not really sure, cus like, since its a norwegian company, id think the name would mean something, but the only thing that has like a meaning is "sky", which ofc is just sky in english, but in Norwegian, "sky" means "cloud" and its the same word for like a cloud server, we just call that "skyen" which is like saying "the cloud". So the f could stand for something, but im very unsure of what
I love how Anomidae will see a horrific ghost entity chase him down and corrupt all of his files in an inexplicable way and will be like "hmmm, that was interesting"
i like to think that the reason the Stanley parable isn't compatible is because Stanley is too much of a stubborn piece of shit to go along with it, that and the narrator and him are already kind of aware they're in a game
And it DOESN'T end up being about a generic evil corporation implanting dead kids into their product to make them more "lively" and "fun" before going bust and creating the monsters viewers see in the surface... At least I flucking hope not
something ive noticed that nobody seems to talk about right about 23:52 when the radio restarts, the audio distorts, playing at a slightly lower pitch before it restarts again at the normal pitch, and it also happens right before the umbrella man appears this probably doesn't mean much, but i thought it wouldve been worth mentioning atleast
Im understanding the umbrella man's purpose, its that they are hunting down those sentient that gained too much control to the fact they are moving by thenselves like a natural human being, the umbrella man has to hunt them down so that they dont go beyond sentience and be able to access the admin commands and destroy everything
fun fact about the csgo type 5, not only is the low texture office below the map the counter strike source version, but if you take the time to painfully sit through the actual demo file. instead of "goodbye" being sent once in chat. "hello" is sent over and over and over again edit while i remember, you can find 2 of the "UmbrellaHeads" in the conference room down in the css version of the map
What I really love about this series is how the horror is just so understated, it just makes you think about what just happened, leaving you with more questions and scary theories as to what may be the answer
Eida is such a great part of the series. He’s basically doing everything right but for the wrong reasons. He’s intertwined with the story and has connections to fsky, he’s generated some of the most interesting demos, and he’s even captured an entity, but the entire time he’s doing it he’s assuming it’s a ghost and a supernatural phenomenon and he lets his confirmation bias take over and assumes that the entity is named “Mona”
wow, for the first time an ARG thats not mysterious nor anonymous actually gave me shivers on my spine, I usually dont like horror if it doesn’t have that anonymous vibe like the creator being completely unknown or the feel of it is somewhat real like I dont like horror if it doesn’t have that vibe because I can’t fully immerse myself in the experience, but this one, wow just incredible like it genuinely gave me chills, super well made and very original respect to the creator for the creativity💯💯💯
one of my favorite details in this series is how ellisfloor mirrors the scene in left 4 dead 1's trailer, where the common infected completely run past all the survivors in order to try and get away from the tank, except now, instead of the bigger threat being the tank, it's the corrupted zombies
This channel is the DEFINITION of tone versatility. On one end, you made me pee myself laughing during the Batsaber challenge: “Well ACTHUALLY, I think you mean Jedi GRANDMASTHER!” On the other hand, there’s content like this. Bravo, Mr TheWhat
There was audio there when I first watched this video, so i'm assuming RUclipss copyright system picked up something and forced him to mute that section of the video.
No other ARG has used sound so well, in my opinion. I will never hear that wind chime clip or the HL2 drowning sound the same way ever again, and the “SPECIAL PRESENTATION” sting gives me chills every time.
The fact that crashers and DMnpcs come from the same thing does put the "are you trapped?" demo into a new perspective. Cause in it, we see a DMnpc being kept from going to "yes" while the camera just goes off into the void. Maybe the camera is actually the perspective of a crasher that decided to go into the void, but made sure to trap the DMnpc's movement before it left for whatever reason. This also raises the question, seeing that video as well as the heavy video, if crashers are unable to delete their own DMnpc. It would explain why the crasher couldn't delete the distorted heavy, and why the potential crasher from "are you trapped?" had to inhibit the DMnpc's movement instead of just deleting it outright.
Some thing i'm unsure people are picking up on is the fact that most type 5 demos, the advanced AI has something wrong with their right hand, Cstrike it disapears, Spooky coast it's broken and the L4D2 one, his hand is missing
i didn't notice that So i think that eidamona and that other guy (yes, i actually forgot the main guy's name) Are going in different type of sides, which is: if we even get a eidamona type 5 (instead of the white house, longtrap) then we could see a weird difference in the left hand, now for the eidacan i think it's the left side umbrella man which does not have a umbrella, meanwhile the right side umbrella man does have a umbrella I actually think that the left side umbrella man from eida can is a spawn model of a crasher
Yeah, now that you mentioned it, it kinda have a thing going on about hands, the L4D2 one also has a huge hand following the corrupted zombie, I don't remember if it was a right or left hand The EidaCan one also has the DMNPC picking up a can with their right hand Though it's possible that it's just a coincidence and there's nothing more to it
the game i most want explored further in Interloper is Dota 2. its by far the most unique Source game (being a top-down MOBA as opposed to an FPS), so a type 5 Dota 2 demo could be very unique, maybe seeing the DMNPC from the view of the top-down camera, but then once the DMNPC gets dragged off the map the Crasher or Umbrella Man notices the camera and flies towards it before crashing the game or pulling it to the same area as Portal was dragged to or even dragging it to a top-down view of a different Type 5 Demo (maybe even something that hasnt been fully shown yet like EidaCan)
had this video in the background when i was going to sleep and then the interloper bell sound came and for some reason it was loud enough to half a sleep me think it spawned in my room.
I feel like the purpose of "whiteroom" is to show what could've been. The possibility of those beautiful worlds as Fsky imagined, maybe its one of the umbrella men reminiscing of maybe what they were promised
Theory on the Whiteroom: I think Eida made it for the Mona to live in. He made those Ouija style maps, who's to say that he was making a peaceful map for his Mona around the time he had his breakdown?
The TF2 Maze map is in fact a whole city map where you start in a maze like structure. The whole map is filled with missing textures, and im not sure if its not a really old Gamebanana map
1:44:10 Could be that type 3 demos are what happens when a 'Crasher', or as I'll take to calling them, 'Cleaners', are spawned into non-anomalous situations. Unable to find any anomalies, they simple wander around aimlessly. That could explain the sudden shift.
it’s really fucking creepy for the canonical beginning of the arg to take place on my birthday, not even just one of my birthdays, but the literal day I was born, nearly down to the hour too
At 52:31 ,the sound file named “sp_intro_01_05_apple” plays. It is one of the many soundtracks that are exclusive to data mining and game file extraction. Just a gist I had after I heard that in interloper, and remember it from a recent data mine I did. Also, it is slowed down (like a lot) in the interloper instance
I just realized that we didn't actually see the portal 1 tipe 5 because the time ran out and anomi messed around using a hint node so we actually have 2 tipe 5 demos to find being idacan and the portal tipe 5
I'm over here interloping my game I got demos on my folder right now I'm just interloping my HINT I'm trespassing as ERROR (umbrella) man I'm an NPC man like
One of my ideas is that when the DM NPC at BeachDance says "hi", they are using VC, but it doesn't render since it isn't primarily a multiplayer game, I think DM NPCs can play audio using the VC (possibly through learning that they can send/receive Voice Chat packets), which could possibly lead to the fact that the npcs play invalid sounds, because they aren't using VC
Something tells me that Anomidae(in cannon) is far more of a mystery than was even covered in this video. So far all of the characters except 2 have been named: We have Lucy, who seems to be an important if not the leading member of Project Skybox, Jan, known as Eidam0na, and Johan, or Jman, who voice acted for Jan on his channel, which is a highly suspicious detail in my opinion. The two characters that we dont have a name for? 7localsource, who hasnt had enough importance in the story to actually be relevant to the cannon, and Anomidae himself. I believe there is enough information to form a hypothesis(*NOT* a theory) that Eidam0na could, in lore, be an old channel run by Anomidae. There are enough counter arguements you could make that I say this on shaky ground, but it would explain how Anomidae is seemingly so well connected on this mystery from the beginning. Starting off on the suspicious activity of Anomidae, he finds an old Half Life 2 forum post about a suspicious umbrella man decal, and then *JUST* so happens to go investigate it at a time where the decal would be there. I find this detail highly suspect, as we know now that not only is he hiding things from us, but that this would be an *incredibly* lucky find. Moreover, in the next video he appears to already be working with the Project: Skybox crew given the fact he seems to be talking to Lucy. You could theorize that they later became founding members, but then that calls into question why they've honed in on the Interloper theory and the seemingly barely connected Digivisions Showcase 22 and not any other mysteries. On top of this, the Project: Skybox crew seems to have access to DMNPCs and possibly even the DM Editor given the things weve seen with the Lucy model, which would be very strange for Anomidae to just *not* tell us about after he *immediately* shot it down as a "hoax" in one of this earliest videos and then just never addressed the program again even after the community next to proved it exists. Moving onto the reason I say he could be Eidam0na, I want to point out that Eida seemed to have been a very, *very* young youtuber. Their videos are very amateurish, the kind you would see a kid who couldnt do much produce. Eida asked Jman, who would likely be an older friend(online or off, it is unclear), to voice his videos, which implies theres a reason he didnt want to voice it himself, possibly because if a young kid was tackling a very serious investigation it would get overlooked. Additionally, he is very superstitious about the event, like a kid looking for Herobrine. He is also prone to personal biases, and as his meltdown shows his emotions are very unstable. Finally, for a reason why in-lore Anomidae may want to distance himself from the Eidam0na channel is because of the Mona event specifically. Him being older and more mature, he might realize the full extent of what happened then *now* and may be trying to bury that because of it being a fucked up little skeleton in his closet. Overall, Im not saying that this is definitively what is happening, as this is really shaky and not a hill even Im going to stand on, but I feel like throwing this possibility out there just because I find the idea very *interesting* to say the least.
That is a very interesting hypothesis and you've convinced me enough that now I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. For now though I'm going to use Ocram's Razor and say the simplest solution is probably the right one and Anomi has no personal ties to Eida
@@oatmeal1209 While it is an important detail, I didnt add it because it didnt feel like it was strong enough to support the possibility as much as other evidence does. It felt like information that would lead to confirmation bias rather than something that would add to the overall narrative. Thank you for bringing it up though, I wanted to point it out as a small detail without detracting from my argument, but by the time I remembered it I would have had to rewrite the entire thing to make it fit how I would have liked.
really interesting that the dm editor is actually SFM. makes sense that eida would be really good at using it considering his background in making SFM animations.

Not to have a "Corn plate Tweet" moment, but looking at the thumbnails for the live Interloper steams made me realize something. The red recording dot next to the word "LIVE" makes it look like it's saying Olive. "Olive" The Umbrella Man's name has literally been there since the beginning.
I think in the misty type 5, the “Oh, fiddlesticks!” Voice lines might be the umbrella men coming to the server/map, my “proof” is that it also comes when the graffiti does, so with the trap theory, maybe the cheeple’s purpouse is to trap them in the sky box until the umbrella men come to.. “deal” with them
1:23:09 The moment the Sequence FourTwo was doing was called Anatomy of a World, I emediately thought of "Anatomy of a House" Where a house or the concept of it is equalized to a body and rooms that serve a bodily purpose. And a house that is haunted isn't necesarily haunted by a spirit at al but by the sorrow/sickness or anger of the house being left decrepid and forgoten by the ones that build or lived inside of it. Interloper doesn't seem much at this point like a story of a "Haunted" game world but the AI does seem to be slightly learning to resent the ones that put it in there if left long enough.
1:29:47 that box room looks eerily similar to the room the leg-less dynamic npc was in… maybe it’s the same room? Because the lighting is also really similar from in his “goodbye” vid..

Like how they respon each other like J.J, A.Y, and other illegible alias?.

the fact alone that we have demos we can view and see ourselves is insane
the type 6 demos raise an interesting question of what the umbrellamen are doing to the dnpcs they catch. we all kind of assumed they were just killing them, but at the end of the hi-man type 5 he deforms and warps as he ragdalls a couple frames before the crash, almost similar to a crasher. im wondering if the type 6's we see potentially used to be sentient dnpcs that were caught and turned into crashers, and thats why we're able to see from their pov in type 6 demos, despite supposedly not being dnpcs
Does that mean that contorted heavy was a dmnpc caught buy the umbrella man

What I love about interloper is that not only is it technical and ran by a person who has vast experience in the source engine in general, but also is completely interactive when he released the Tuesday Manifest. Even when I explored it myself I was shocked by the amount of demos, the movements and the actions, the type 5, and the hard-coded bugs in some of them. It's incredible how well made and well thought this entire thing is.
The irony is, at least 2 of the Tuesday Manifest demos were in Postal 3.
It's the key to this mystery, we just need to huff enough cat nip.

I have a theory for the white room,
I think that the white room is the same room where Mona was deleted in.
We cant tell what room Mona was in due to the darkness. but it was probably a box being lit up by a single lightbulb
and what do you know? the white room demo file is a box, being lit up by a single light bulb.
The object in the middle appears to be a human skeleton, most likely the ribs, probably belonging to Mona.
So the white room demo file is probably the aftermath after Mona gets deleted.

What do you think the "F" in "FSKY" stands for?
@@its_an_inkstar Im not really sure, cus like, since its a norwegian company, id think the name would mean something, but the only thing that has like a meaning is "sky", which ofc is just sky in english, but in Norwegian, "sky" means "cloud" and its the same word for like a cloud server, we just call that "skyen" which is like saying "the cloud". i like to think that the reason the Stanley parable isn't compatible is because Stanley is too much of a stubborn piece of shit to go along with it, that and the narrator and him are already kind of aware they're in a game
Stanley could piss the umbrella man off with how much he wants to go off script
what if this is just a really elaborate stanley parable advert
The umbrella man will go in to try and capture/kill Stanley only for the narrator to place it in the time out room as punishment for using noclip
That or the narrator has the ability to keep things OUT of the games lol

this probably doesn't mean much, but i thought it wouldve been worth mentioning atleast
"hello" is sent over and over and over again

What I really love about this series is how the horror is just so understated, it just makes you think about what just happened, leaving you with more questions and scary theories as to what may be the answer
It’s so eerie and hard to understand why things happen, enhancing the horror
Eida is such a great part of the series. He’s basically doing everything right but for the wrong reasons. He’s intertwined with the story and has connections to fsky, he’s generated some of the most interesting demos, and he’s even captured an entity, but the entire time he’s doing it he’s assuming it’s a ghost and a supernatural phenomenon and he lets his confirmation bias take over and assumes that the entity is named “Mona”
Pretty sure he changed the name section as well. And all just so he can turn it into his robo-bitch 💀
The fact that you got them to voice the random text lines makes me half-think that this is secretly a Chucklenuts conspiracy.

Some thing i'm unsure people are picking up on is the fact that most type 5 demos, the advanced AI has something wrong with their right hand, Cstrike it disapears, Spooky coast it's broken and the L4D2 one, his hand is missing
i didn't notice that
So i think that eidamona and that other guy (yes, i actually forgot the main guy's name)
Are going in different type of sides, which is: if we even get a eidamona type 5 (instead of the white house, longtrap) then we could see a weird difference in the left hand, now for the eidacan i think it's the left side umbrella man which does not have a umbrella, meanwhile the right side umbrella man does have a umbrella
I actually think that the left side umbrella man from eida can is a spawn model of a crasher
Yeah, now that you mentioned it, it kinda have a thing going on about hands, the L4D2 one also has a huge hand following the corrupted zombie, I don't remember if it was a right or left hand
The EidaCan one also has the DMNPC picking up a can with their right hand

the game i most want explored further in Interloper is Dota 2. its by far the most unique Source game (being a top-down MOBA as opposed to an FPS), so a type 5 Dota 2 demo could be very unique, maybe seeing the DMNPC from the view of the top-down camera, but then once the DMNPC gets dragged off the map the Crasher or Umbrella Man notices the camera and flies towards it before crashing the game or pulling it to the same area as Portal was dragged to or even dragging it to a top-down view of a different Type 5 Demo (maybe even something that hasnt been fully shown yet like EidaCan)

Also Eidam0na is an anagram of Anomidae
