Yes, I know the true background of the beloved character, but, like all fan fiction, I wanted to try putting out my own version of how he might have come to be. To those who have faithfully followed my other Wall-E films in the past, this one has been made especially for you. There are a few Easter eggs you'll find throughout the film and in the soundtrack as well. This is the longest and most complex animation project I'd ever attempted and took me over a year, working alone and on a single computer, with many new challenges.
I'll admit I'm the classic dilettante, an amateur animator who just likes to experiment with both technique and story. Still, I hope my efforts bring you a smile or two.
[Despite what the disclaimers say, the music used in this film has been licensed and paid for. I make no claims of ownership or copyright of the character of Wall-E who is a creation of Pixar and Disney. And while I'm confessing, yes, the house looks suspiciously, and not coincidentally, like the one in "Up." ]
Don't forget to check out "Here's WALL-E!" my latest mash-up at the Overlook Hotel from "The Shining"
My latest film is a change of pace: "Mindy's Dream," a fantasy about a young girl who loves everything Star Wars seeking revenge on her abusive stepfather - Кино
After all these years.. he still makes wall-e tribute videos. Keep up the good work! I love these videos!
This is so much wholesome...
And the most realistic thing that Buy N Large literally owns and ruining everything and humans works are replaced with robots, And even humans cant get any money of it, which it's getting real.
What happened to Mr. Wallace!?!?
@@-Poka-he died I think
Splendid piece of work - really appreciated. Wall-E's always been one of my favourite robots!
Thanks!
Thank you for a fun theory on Wall-E's back story.
This how wall-e was around and never talks about how he was created
Really left me with an emotional impact. Made you sympathize for the old man and also for Walle. Tears are still coming down. I didn't understand the point of why you had to kill off the old man and explosion and why Wally recovered years later. Charming story. Still made me feel sorry for them both.
Well making you feel something for animated characters is the point of why I do it. As for the old man, there have been many times I've had feelings like his for revenge, but I know better - it rarely ends well if you go down that path.
@@filmjeff I understood the old man's feelings. And I didn't have to agree with his actions that's for sure. Something about the innocence of Wally was really coming through and that's what was hitting me so hard. I think I felt more emotional towards and for Wally than the old guy. You do excellent work Jeff. Thank you.
This is charming! It's great to see your cinematic sensibilities applied to Pixar's universe.
Thanks, David!
@@filmjeff do WALL-E And E.v.e and Cookroach meets Rover From Planet 51!:)
Wall e and Eve together forever
@@prestonwells2ndchannel i don't think he takes requests.
He looks like Heisenberg
Wall-e tried to keep him safe and lucky he meet others that cared more.
Very ambitious project. You really upped the sophistication of everything with this story. Awesome work as always Jeff! Thanks for sharing your talents and hard work!
The fact that Wall-E was making M-o noises
They are both voiced by the same guy though.
A fan film with Disney’s blessing.. That’s pretty rare nowadays
Lots of work here, congratulations! Good storytelling dynamics and camera work, good character timing.
Thanks. Much appreciated
Very entertaining with a lot of heart: characters you care about.
This is the backstory of how Wall-e still lives.
Is no one else going to mention that at 0:14 it's Carl's house, from the movie UP! It has subtle changes, but yep it's Carl's house. 🏠
BTW - Nice Video 👍
Thanks for your comments. Actually I mentioned in my notes that the house looks "suspiciously" like the one in "Up", mainly because I used it for inspiration. What I noticed in going through that Pixar film is that the exterior and interior rooms don't always match up, something probably no one has noticed unless they were trying to make a replica like I was
@@filmjeff Anything is possible if you are the originator.
That was fantastic. I had doubts about the idea of Wall-E being placed into this strange and unique story, but seeing it come full circle at the end, and seeing the reason why Wall-E compacts trash was just awesome. It was also a very interesting approach to see the Wall-E elements slowly integrated into the robots he built, and how their flaws would lead to another iteration.
Was the house inspired by the one seen in UP, or was it a stock model? The story of an older man losing his wife, and being stuck in his ways felt like the inspiration came from UP, especially with the similar design of the house. Was that a stock model or one you created for the film? Either way, this was incredibly fun to watch, and it's great to see that you're still making these animated short films!
I remember watching your first few Wall-E themed shorts years and years ago, and I honestly didn't realize this was you until I took a look at your previous videos! What a small world! I look forward to seeing more of your work! Keep it up!
Thanks, much appreciated! To answer your questions, I copied the house from UP because of the similarity of themes of loss. I had to build the interior and exterior from scratch, nothing stock. I used the original film designs as inspiration but had to make it my own. I also discovered that the interior and exterior of the UP house don't match for layout, another reason to make changes of my own. I'm glad you picked up on the evolution of the robots. You might notice the first one is labeled A, then B, etc., as if the end result is the Wall-E model. The junk in the backyard was supposed to reinforce this idea with a pan across their letters in order, but I got carried away with adding rain effects so the idea was muted. Stay tuned for my next Wall-E short, hopefully before Thanksgiving
@@filmjeff 1:52: Why did that robot talk like how a person talk? While Wall-E uses some sort of electronic mix of bleeps and bloops, gibberish, and a bit of human words but not mostly?
@@filmjeff 5:01: And why did the robot look a bit Wall-E-looking?
@@filmjeff Then it was now Wall-E with that same old Wall-E language…
Why? I just want to know.
Good to see your still making wall e animations
10:54 Walmart during Black Friday
Woooo amazing video so happy you decided to make another
These kinds of films take a huge amount of work to do alone, but it is worth it when the film finds even one satisfied viewer
@@filmjeff Yeah its very unfortunate you don’t get as much attention as you deserve :/
So that's how it got started! 👏🎬
Though this completely glosses over the fact that Wall-E in Pixar movie was the LAST Wall-E unit still running, and the gigantic Wall-E units that were also known to have existed in that movie.
We definitely have the AI technology to make a wall-E if we wanted to,now all we need a rich robot scientist who loves wall-E as much as I do lmao😎👍💙
i've been watching since 2013, i was just a kid then. your content is still very special and highly thought out. your dedication to Wall-E is truly amazing to see. :)
Thank you very much. Makes all the hard work worthwhile
Thanks for making this...I love wall-e a lot
Wonderful adaptation of wall e, brilliant shirt film, thank you Jeff I'm sure that BnL will remember your efforts in keeping Wall E alive in our minds with his actions in our hearts thank you for your great workmanship Phil
Thanks, Phil!
I love Wall-E!
Nice work Jeff! I really enjoyed the story and of course the animation!
Thanks!
It’s amazing so that’s wall e was build and learn everything about human and love and peace it’s a beautiful and sad origin that wall e lost his father
the house look like from UP, Carl's house. so Carl did made Wall-E, after all.
5:01 Hehehe, it's The NotePacker!:)
10:40 the explosion noise scares wall-e and falls into the green recycle trash can at buy n large factory explosion causing it on fire to destroy robotics.
This is awesome Jeff keep It up and you are gonna do awesome things one day
That was some powerful dynamite 😅
It was well done and not having seen most of the others I had to go watch them too! :) Thank you! :)
Thanks. Glad you liked them
I finally found out who wall-e really is
Love this
Please do another one! I must find out what wall-e finds in the last seconds!!
Excellent short, been watching you since 2013.
10:41 i Saw The BNL Water Tower!:)
Wall-e was in the city where the old man was in his home when he found wall-e in his house.
Good video! 👍
The prequel? Nice!
Awwww! Fabulous video. Left me wanting more :)
Thanks. After nearly a year of work, I ran out of steam. Sorry
You are amazing I want you to continue to make wall e videos
Those security droids...a little Star Wars/Wally crossover?
Sure, steal from the best
Enjoyed hearing your voice!
Good job! this looks professional grade, like some practice animation!
Thanks! I try
@@filmjeff This was a really emotional animation, one of the only I almost cried to
Actually, I heard sounds of transformers revenge of the fallen all the constructor cons transforms into devastator
I’ve always been seeing WALL-E in a Mecha Sonic body
Continue your work jeff blyth
Very well done. What a fantastic accomplishment.
Thanks! Comments like this make all the time and effort worthwhile
Great! Very well done!!!
Its great and Its a i nice animation in blender i th9ink Ii all
Outstanding!
Nice video!
Really ,so funny .We Love it
Wow did you just wake up one morning and decide to make this masterpiece?
I'd made my old man character about 5 years ago with the idea of doing a short film with him, but couldn't come up with an idea that was worth all the time I knew it would take. He stayed in a folder on my desktop until last March when I came up with a way to include him with Wall-E. Once I had a script, I just kept my head down and worked at least 8 hours a day, 6 days week until it was done
@@filmjeff Wow I never expected you to reply! You’re wall-e tributes are probably the best I’ve seen I even added you to my tribute this was a great animation well done Mr Blyth well done!
@@filmjeff i made a video for you called Chloe's closet outdoor explorer Deleted scene #1 hehehe it's the Notepacker!:)
Those cop bots that take Wally use imperial probe droid sound affects and as a star wars fan that makes me smile
Glad you caught that!
Neat!
Didn’t they have multiple Wall-e’s and then they all died except for one who can rebuild himself by taking the other bodies of other wall-e’s body parts and placing it to his when one of his body parts get damaged or get broken?
*(Edit so it can make a little bit more sense and also Wall-e the only survivor was alone for 700 years!)*
And Easter egg: 11:24 btw if you don’t know it’s the plant in the shoe
Yes, in the film that's true, but this is my alternate origin for Wall-E
@@filmjeffoh I like the video by the way :D !
@@filmjeffand There wasn't only one WALL-E; it's just that he was the one that the humans forgot to switch off after they decided to continue living in space and abandon the clean-up operation after they found it unsuccessful.
OK now I’m telling too much wall-e lore right now
Epic!
That was one powerful bomb!
Well the idea, perhaps not fully realized in my limited animation, is that the initial explosion at the electrical sub-station resulted in a cascade of catastrophes for the factory, for the old man himself, and for Wall-E.
I love Wall-E
nice job, your wall-e model has gone through a lot of changes.
I have started the model over a number of times. The biggest changes in my latest attempts are "under the hood," as I have dramatically altered my approach to rigging. This gives the model many more subtle movements, such as the way he shakes dirt from his treads. But I'm still a far cry from the original.
@@filmjeff ah i see, it's still pretty good tho
I hope theres a wall-e 2
How story begins 11:32
10:55 devastator sfx's
the true inventor of Wall-E, is not BNL, basically its a old man, who lost his job. the factory got closed down and brought by BNL. replace Humans into automated robots,. how BNL took his idea. Rip, he never get credits he made Wall-E.
but then several years later after the old man died, BNL decide to Abandoned all Wall-E robots. replace for better Trash cleaner robot. they dont need that trash robot.
The Guy Behind Breaking Bad Robot
:) Holy Moly! great job.
Thanks! It took me a long time so I appreciate your response
@@filmjeff Yes that looks very elaborate. It was fun to watch. :)
This is the story of Wall-E 😊😊
EARTH
this is making sence for me is truth true
Technically top notch.
reality breaking graphics
That was the baby in yellow soundtrack in the main menu.
nice ... i like it !
I like the one where he’s in the elevator
I kinda got Up vibes from the beginning of the film.
As I said in the comments, the "Up" connections are not a coincidence, in the same way my previous animation was a mash-up of Star Wars and Wall-E
Holy wow this amazing! What was this made in? Maya?
Lightwave (and an old version at that)
😢
So that old man is so lazy, he had to build a robot to help push a cup an inch or a centimeter closer to him 😂
you didn't get the point: he missed his wife who used to do that for him
@@filmjeff I think I was making a *joke* 🤔😂
Wall e origin
That's not abandoned?
but there is a lot more wall.es in the movie
Sad😢
Así es cuando paso eso a walle
It's really sad video
So place abandoned?
Continuity check? Wall-E moves the pan off the heat but leaves the handle above the hot ring. Hopefully the guy doesn't touch it at the wrong time 🤭
You caught me. But is that the only mistake you spotted?
@@filmjeff I'll have to check as I was writing that whilst it was on and I really didn't want to look at it with a tear it t'fuk attitude. Well done 👍
Factory is destroy
looks like the house from UP.
A few adaptations, but yes
What song is this at 12:09 ?
It's stock music that I purchased from Shockwave-Sound.com. That particular track is called "Harvest of Hope" (60 sec. version) composed by Christopher Bernard.
Just saying why did he dip toast in tea or coffee
That's a habit of people of a certain age. My father used to love to do that.
I see find eve
😇😇😇
Use wall e only eve pls
