First adopters will always pay the price for new tech. In a few years and a couple more generations of product cycles, if this concept is accepted as viable by the community at large, we will see more and more affordable pedals like these financially accessible to the average income sim racer. Heck, look at Direct drive wheels... took a little time, now we see a proliferation of examples that are a fraction of cost as the early units. Have patience and we all will reap the benefits and still have some disposable income after the purchase.... in the meantime, my rumble pedals and Butt kicker under the pedal board, and H-shifter with clutch pedal lockout, will hold me over until then. Great video as always!!! Always nice to be exposed to new tech from an experienced sim racer rather than just media marketing by the manufacturer. Will these be the standard operational concepts of pedals in the future? Only time will tell..............

@Brummie Deano Ive done exactly this. Use a Dayton audio puk cable tied to the pedal. Also made a custom pedal face lazer cut from steel to mount a Dayton BST-1 directly to the pedal face. Both worked incredibly well with Simhub. Can feel ABS TC & Also wheel slip & lock perfectly. No need to break the bank with these Simucube pedals. These transducers have been a game changer. Especially the ABS and lock sensations coming from the break pedal. Ive also managed to feel independent sensation for all four tires. By using a bucket seat I get left rear wheel sensation at my left hip. Right wheel sensations on my right hip. I created two seperate heel plates that sit under my inverted pedals. One for left foot the other for my right foot. All isolated from one another allowing me to also independently feel what is happening with both left and right front tyres. So in essence I have seperate sensation for all four tyres operating independantly from one another. Plus whell slip and TC through my accelerator pedal. And ABS and lock coming through my brake pedal

A while back, I suggested the idea of force feedback pedals as the next thing for sim racing. Congratulations to Simucube for making this a reality. My critique is the price and the fact that it is not able to be retrofitted to existing pedal sets, (especially the Fanatec CSW 2.5 pedals, which I find, as very good value for money, functionality and rigidity) and did I fail to mention the price !!! I could buy a second hand sportsbike and have no problem with justifying the cost compared to the value I would get at the price point of these pedals.

I give the example of a plane flight, the plane that flies from point A to point B takes off, drives and lands in only one way. But regular and business class tickets are sold for this flight! Who will ride his ass in what seat should decide for himself! Is business class worth the money, the person who is dear to him has no choice but to resent and even laugh, but for the businessman who will travel in luxury and pampering and will arrive rested and refreshed for the important business meeting, it is worth it every cent!?!?! There is no way that the pedals we already know and those with the latest and most modern innovative technology are at the same price! Everyone has to decide for themselves what equipment they want??!!?? And make the best choice for yourself!

But this type of pedal, wow, if you could build into the game something like extended travel due to pad wear in an endurance race, how good would that be? To have a definitive understanding that you are at a point where you have to start looking after your brakes or you know that the efficiency was decreasing would be amazing. One question that I have for you, how do you feel about the use of tactile transducers on sim rig set ups? I think normal drivers who still have a huge amount to learn and are far from being consistent and/or fast will not benefit from the huge info output this pedal has to offer. Looking at iracing, I‘d say that anyone below 6k has very different details to take care of before even thinking of getting one of these pedals. That said, I think this pedal will eventually widen the gap between the already insanely fast and skilled and the rest. The pressure to get these pedals for their drivers will be on the top teams. And they will pay the price, as we already see purses going up in simracing and marketing values of drivers and teams increase.

When I used my onboard sound there was a decent bit of delay in the TC kicking in and my pucks vibrating. I don't know why as I'm not experienced in sound but once I got a good sound card (I tried a cheap one £50 and same delay) which I paid £150 for the delay disappeared. I think there must be some sort of programming in cheap Sound cards that cause dealy but due to how sound travels we don't hear it but it's very prominent when feeling the delay. Like I said I have no idea why that is. I've also asked 2 friends to try it blind and the both agree and picked my expensive sound card having less delay so its not a placebo effect.

@@Simlife101 Cheating how ? The car is already modulating braking(ABS) or reducing engine power(TC) on its own. Now if car was without TC I can see some reasoning here but we're not talking about that.
Just instead of TC light blinking you have some pedal pushback. Car already is telling you that information, using pedal for it is just different channel.
Also have you not triggered abs in a car ? it's not really "brake pedal pushing back on you", it's ABS pulsing the hydraulic fluid used for brakes and your brake pedal is just part of that system. It won't regulate braking force for you, it will just signal you that you went over.
It's essentially giving driver feedback about what their wheels are doing in real time, still need skilled driver to operate it

It was the TC. Towards the end of the video he states they're working on software that once the traction control kicks in the pedal will push back slightly so that will take you out of the traction control. That is cheating. If the pedal can push back by its own to remove the TC kicking in then that is software based control of a game which is cheating.
If I use a gun in a shooter game and I use software so when I'm just off target it pulls me over that's called AIMBOT and cheating.
How can it be fair go have software that can control you throttle in such a way that once tv kicks in it automatically comes off the gas for you.
Not fair in my opinion also he even states "we wanted something real race cars don't have"

Eye brow blinkers for ABS and TC is in the real cars but in no real race car do you have a pedal pushing back just the perfect amount of gas pedal travel making it impossible tp go into the TC. I'm using tactile feedback since 2016 and surprised you are not using this essential advantage. I can't brake without and don't really need muscle-memory since my pedals/Buttkickers are telling me when it's too much. So it doesn't need 2.3k EUrupees to do the trick and those pedals take the same telemetry translating it into effects.
Shakers have some advantages to motion-actuators: they are quicker and can't distract you and your inputs. I'm not convinced that these pedals are free of any artificial friction/intertia that is absent in normal pedals, especially regarding throttle and clutch. Sim-Racing pedals are simulating car-pedals with the same or similar principle and why doing it differently? Those 'brake-by-wire'-systems in real cars (racecars as well) are even working like in sim-racing, just the actuators are doing the mechanical jobs and not trying to mock pedals for unknown reasons...
