- Well, some of these were really surprising as I could actually finish the battle. Hopefully i'll find a way to to do this in the remake at some point.

I love how some bosses work fine, then others it just soft-locks.
I can't believe they actually have the Sea Pipe Statue coded so that, on the off chance that you do somehow fight it as Mario and Luigi, you're still able to defend against its attacks because they coded it so the Bros. defend with their Hammers.
@@cannon9009 Punch and hammer proabably use a similar code which is compadable to attackes that need to be punched.

I love how Fawful is just THERE during the Midbus bit. He just comes in to say his lone and just chills as the Mario Bros. fight the clones.

The fact you can counter attack the blooper statue with hammers means that at some point you could fight it as the brothers
Not really. Some attacks just work with both partys. The hammers are probably similar to bowsers punch for the game
Considering the amount of overlap in which enemies can be battled by who, they likely programmed moves that are countered by punching to work with the hammers as well
@@stevenmartinez2530 I don't know anything about programming but while dodging/countering, ducking & jumping and punch & the hammer function basically the same, so I'd imagine their features are just similar enough to work in place of each other
That basically means that those games are better programmed than even needed, mario and luigi games are made by geniuses
@@eeli8295 What is most likely happening is that the hitbox of the punch and hammer just go to the same spots
During my 1st playthrough, I once thought the bros would find Midbus instead of fighting Junker.
When Mario and Luigi are just adventuring around Blubble Lake...

I am having none of the logic
In these DS versions, you are forced to make these bosses appear as random battles like in the video because if you try to go to them with M&L, the game crashes. But in the 3DS versions, I think it could eventually be possible to really go to fight Bowser's bosses with M&L in game.
You actually can trigger the Dark Fawful fight with the Bros., in the 3DS version. But the cutscene is glitched, and you're still Bowser in the battle. After beating him the game softlocks. I haven't been able to get similar results with other Bowser bosses yet (Dark Bowser is a softlock right when you enter the room)

It's specifically coded to NOT let Bowser fight himself, even though that can't ever happen under any circumstances. It's very odd.

@@Snaps12345 "Game Crash" isn't an exact thing they would just make as a specific entity, but yeah it probably essentially functions like that.
Saying this is making me wonder what they did to make it crash instead of softlock in the first place.
If it's a soft lock they can just not make the code finish.
**Midbus**- Unknown if he does even attack or softlocks the game, but the Fawful script seems to work fine.
**Sea Pipe Statue**- Works fine, but annoying how attacks do no damage except hitting the head. Either way, this would be surprising if Mario and Luigi fight it in game.
**Blizzard Midbus**- Softlocks the game if Luigi were to attack.
**Dark Fawful**- Works a bit fine, but all he does is spam the healing ability everytime he takes damage. However, he softlocks the game once it's his turn.
**Dark Bowser**- Softlocks the game if the Mario Bros. try to attack it.
Fawful: Midbus! He is having a big punch!
Mario and Luigi: *use green shell instead*

I find the sea pipe statue very interesting because since the bro’s can counter attack that means the bro’s were probably going to fight the boss early in development of the game
my guess is that they were gonna encounter it again after getting out of bowsers body and doing a mission that requires backtracking.
technically they do, the boss in the overworld attacks the same as when it goes into bowsers body (for the most part)

Because he is replacing normal enemies with the bosses.
So if a battle against two enemies happens, they will be replaced with two bosses.

This in Interesting because If hacked correctly some bowser bosses actually have attack patterns for the bros (Like The Sea Pipe Statue and The guy that carries bricks (Unshown)).
The "guy who carries bricks" is a normal enemy

So at some point, the game DID expect people to do this...
So is the Sea Pipe Statue immune to ALL of the Mario bros' regular attacks, because I find it peculiar that it takes damage from the hammer _counterattacks,_ yet you didn't try using the actual hammer attack against it. Also, what about the other Bowser only bosses, do any of them function against the bros, or do they all have similar results?
