I have one of these cars! First proper car I got after the obligatory 56bhp learner car I learned and passed my driving test in. Mines red, and is the quattro sport model so came with the boot lip and door flares. The 3.0 engine might not be the most powerful thing, but I still have a soft spot for it. Love seeing this build, keep it up!
Consider swapping in a lighter engine like a 1.8t. S4 owners who have done it say the first thing they notice is how much lighter and more nimble the steering is. Plus, the 1.8t 20v has a ton of after market support. It's the LS of Europe for a reason. Big power light package. And it sounds better than the ea888.
Honestly hated the 3.0 before I got one for a great price no I love it though would still want to swap the engine but thanks for being the RUclipsr to show us some things about the 3.0s
I was just starting into this video and heard you drove 6 and a half hours there I’m in pa and recently paid $100 for a well running engine all the way in NYC my first time ever driving there which I did on no sleep bcz I got a crazy steal. So up I left at midnight and drove almost 7 hours to nyc in a 1993 ford f150 5 speed manual pulled the motor myself and was back on the road and omw home by 11 in the morning and made it home around 6pm boy was it a trip. That’s only the beginning bcz now I have to locate a manual tranny which I have located someone who offered me to pull all the parts I need for the manual swap for just $500 which is probably going on next with this build. Originally got the car with a blown motor.
I love the video man. Just getting into modding older Audis, so this was cool to see! What did you end up doing with your old Drivetrain? I've been piecing together the stuff for my next project and have been looking for a rear differential 4.11 out of a b6
Awesome 👏 once again inspiring me to drop my car with you and be like I’ll check back in a year just nudge me to buy parts needed / compensate you for your blood sweat and tears while dealing with it 😅
And who knows it could give you some source for RUclips content too … it’s burning 🔥 oil at a rate of a quart per not even 500 highway 🛣️ miles as it stands 😩🫣🫠😞😢😭
Will the O2x fit on a non quattro 3.0. Maybe blank off the driveshast coupling? I'm from South Africa and my dad got the first edition B6 with the grey bumper bits. It has a 5 speed and at highway speeds the rpms sit between 3400-4000rpm. That's way too high for my liking
Enjoyed the vid! Why did you remove the engine & subframe? You could have undone the axels gearbox side and left the front end, engine, suspension alone, and no need for an alignment.
Do you have any experience with the gearbox not being able to get into gear when the engine is running? When the engine is off we can shift gears. When the engine is running we can't and the car just starts driving on its own sporadically. Also the clutch pedal vibrates heavily. If you have any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. BMW mechanic here working on an Audi that just had its gearbox replaced by another company. Really don't wanna take the gearbox out of this RS4 V8...
Thanks again for continuing the Audi build. Such an inspiration, I hope you got the steering angle sensor sorted.

I didn’t want to have to bench press the transmission into place underneath the car. I find it a lot easier to put them together outside the car

I have an audi a5 b8.5 2.0 tfsi sportback with a CVT transmission. is it possible to put a Stronic but FWD? THX
this would be the same process for the audi b7 chassis yeah?
У меня такая же машина но 1.8T , как бы я хотел приехать к тебе и сделать то что делаешь ты!!!!))) Круто спасибо тебе за видео!)
The 3.0 b6 has and 01E not an 02x, the 6 speed b6 and b7 1.8t/2.0t has an 02x
@@grahamihndris9606 2004+ 3.0 is 02x
Can you send some carriers to Moscow, Russia? What's the price?
You need a rear LSD more than a 6 speed….The car needs to rotate.
Both transmissions are 6-speed. But agreed
