As an asexual playing my first few rounds of this and meeting all the gods I said to myself "All these designs are so beautiful, unique yet concise. I see why people love this game!" Then I joined the community online and realized I had no idea why people loved this game.
Something I noticed in retrospect is that all boon messages come with a flourish of a rainbow because the gods are literally Iris messaging you. That's a really nice touch.
What I love about this game is strip all the gorgeously done golden age era style comics art, the great characters, the great story, all of which are good enough to have carried other games on their own mind you, and you still have left a damn good and frankly addictive core gameplay loop that makes you go "Again" every time And Goddamn I became a master of Doom and Hangover builds just because I pick Ares and Dionysus every single time to hear those silky smooth voices XD
I didn't realize that there was this much sexual tension in Hades when I first played through it... Like I realized there was some obviously but DAMN not this much! lol
