Thing is, it was such an unforgettable, unmistakable clash of elements that I was always put off by calling "Buster" to the generic dummies they later switched to. There was only ever one in my heart!
I was thinking about the time they rebuilt Buster
"Church of Buster" sounds amazing. "One measly crucifixion? Hold my beer while I jump off this 150 ft crane."
"And it was told, if all parts that are left are finally back in one place, the MIGHTY BUSTER will come back to life and save us all..."
Hey y'all watch this shit
@Micheal Ellis Jesus was a Commie
"Firepeople." Firefighters, Adam. They're called firefighters XD
Can’t say fireman anymore 🙄
@@spearspearspear Sure you can. And firewoman, too. "Firefighter," has been in the common parlance for the job for decades. This site claims it has been around since at least 1895. www.etymonline.com/word/firefighter
"Firepeople" sounds like a race of monsters made from hell-fire. Probably a firefighter's worst nightmare.
Eric Scott sounds like something the soy boy crime minister of Canada would say
"...But everything changed when the firepeople attacked.."
You can hear just how much love and appreciation he has in his voice for this crash test dummy. It's honestly so sweet
"there is a church of bustee--"
"Let me stop you there... And ask where I sign up!"
January 2003 I was home from college for Christmas break. Late one night my dad and I witness these two crazy guys on TV strap rockets to a car in the middle of a desert. Good memories!
oh this brings back so many good memories, like the time I fell asleep watching mythbusters in the winter, and we had breakfast for dinner so I thought I had slept through dinner. I also managed to find it on Hulu while I was recovering from my wisdom teeth out. mythbusters has always had a special place in my heart, when I was very little my dream job was working on the show, thank you for making learning fun, and fostering my love of science.
I absolutely loved that show. I have seen every single episode aired, many of them several times. Thanks for sharing your memories of those times and a HUGE thanks to you and the whole production crew for mythbusters!
Brain: *Don't do it*
Brain: *Don't do it*
me: wears Buster's face
I AM BUSTER NOW!
I used to love myth busters so much, as a teenager it was one of my favorite shows, all the fire and mayhem! This was a great video, glad to see you kept a few pieces of buster. I always wondered if you guys had kept cool stuff like that from the show
Misread this as "Adam Savage Reanimates What's Left of the Original Buster!" And I was fully expecting him to be able to do it.
Those Buster fragments do remind me of a stone mask. Que Pillar Men song.
See JoJo's Bizzare Adventures.

Looks like a challenge has been made :D.
Do it!
Adam Savage’s Tested yes please!
Please all stand to salute our fallen comrade, he took his lumps and never complained, he may have fallen on more than a few occasions but he always got back up, we salute you Buster, sleep well sweet prince
Adam, you need to make a museum quality mount for those parts, especially the face. Make it a BEAUTIFUL mount and a one day build!
Holy crap this is amazing! Remember watching the original mythbusters when I was a kid, its was actually my first exposure to science and I believe my enjoyment of the show through the years pushed me to be where I am now- my final year of university studying aircraft engineering. Miss putting mythbusters on the tv, might have to go and watch some now ;)
I just wanted to get into his shop and he should tell me EVERYTHING and EVERY story about the stuff he is keeping there. So many stories... I would love that.
Mythbusters was, and still is one of my favorite shows so to see even a bit of new content from the original crew is amazing!
Thank you :))
There are only so many Crash test facilities in the US. Calspan, NHTSA, IIHS, would be my top 3 guesses but there are like 20 companies/organizations in the US with crash testing facilities.
But Humanetics is the one that designed the Hybrid II and Hybrid III
I still remember so many shots of buster. Good memories :)
I miss mythbusters
It was my absolute favorite show
There’s also still that leg is most likely imbedded in the mud from the hammer fall myth
Buster reveals what’s left of the original Adam
Something’s wrong I can feel it
Who else grew up watching mythbusters on cable with out dvr and had to watch commercials 🖐
I did... and it is a good thing there were commercials or they wouldn't have made the fucking show.
Would do it all over again too
mythbusters was my childhood, that is all.

I didn't grow up with it I was already an adult. But my son was born in January 2003 and we watched it together his entire childhood.
"Chunks of buster. My favorite new salsa.

-Adam Savage 2020
I first watched MythBusters in elementary school and then binged the entire series in middle school. Last week I turned 18. When Adam started talking about filming the pilot in 2002-my birth year-I was shocked. I've legitimately grown up with the show.
Plot twist: Buster was being held in Area 51 before he was mailed over.
@Iori Jei Kisinamal plot twist: before the Martians Michelle Obama kept him strapped to her forehead
I remember the episode where you a Jamie made Buster 2.0. You guys were fighting over Busters Face lol
The last episode of mythbusters was the only time I cried over a tv show or movie. That hit me hard haha!
I hope the whole series will be replayed in 20 years so that my kids can have the same amount of fun I had watching :)
This has made me a special kind of happy. I’m 23 now and when I was little I would write fan mail into discovery because I loved myth-busters. I watched every episode multiple times. My mom would say I was probably their youngest and biggest fan. It genuinely brings me joy to see that you loved making that show as much as I loved watching it and seeing buster held in honor is awesome.
Ps: on the off chance that Adam or one of the team sees this, please could you come to Dragoncon?? It would be so incredibly cool to meet you guys in person. It’s a fantastic convention and I think you’d love it.
I was born in 2003 and I remember watching mythbusters almost every day with my dad and I really do think this show has helped me become the person I am today. So thank you mythbusters and thank you buster! for bringing so many happy childhood memories for me!
I really miss Mythbusters, I wish it hadn't been canceled. Adam, I know that you and Jamie didn't like each other, but BOY did you 2 work well together. I have Literally Seen every Episode of mythbusters, since the show first aired. It got even better when Tori, Grant, and Carry joined the crew. I think there were still many Myths yet to be tested. I my opinion, the show ended too soon. I really hope you read most of the comment on your channel. And I would hope that one day in the future, that Mythbusters will return. even if if the rebirth of the show is you and Jamie handing off the reigns of the show to a newer generation of Mythbusters. with you and Jamie occasionally doing a Cameo. "I want Mythbusters back!" I also love your one day builds, some of them have inspired me to do some one day builds of my own, though they could never hold a candle to your talent good Sir.
Aaaaw, man. I can't be the only one who wanted him to put that Buster "mask" on... XD
He isn't willing to reject his humanity
@@ActuallyRocatex i don't think this mask is made of stone
He should use it for a "ZomBuster" costume for comicon.
when he had it in hand i was certain he was going to do just that! he had at one point in the Mythbusters show i think.
Can you imagine what that would smell like? I mean he's been put through so much acostic abuse I'm surprised he's not giving off a chemical reading.
I had the biggest grin on my face watching this. Mythbusters is truly one of the things that kept me going growing up.

I didn't just cry; not at all. Lies. Seeing how sentimental and how close you hold the show, it really makes me smile. I rewatch Mythbusters when I'm going through severe anxiety and need a calm place.
Thank you, Adam, for letting us see Buster again!
Did anyone else nerd out that Adam has the original pieces of buster? I’ve watched mythbusters many times when I was younger,
over and over and still won’t get bored. You are a legend, buster. May you rest in piece(s).
Gotta hand it to him.
Ba-dum-tiss! 👋😂👋
Well done Noki0100 . Well done.
You must *face* the consequences for that bad pun.
I'd just give him the cold shoulder.
Yeah, that pun just came to hand a little too easily.
I loved the remade Buster with the Dragon Skin silicone
"there was an idea.... To bring the best crash test dummies..."
Mad respect for the army of busters
Mythbusters was such an important show for me growing up, it’s really what gave me the love of exploring and the value of asking questions. This was awesome to watch him get exited about it again!
All of the memories of sitting down and watching Mythbusters growing up came flooding back. When Buster was brought on, you knew something amazing was about to happen. Thank you for this. It brightened my day more than I can put into words ❤
You do know when you finally retire.. his face is going to have to go somewhere special.
I personally elect the Smithsonian.
I elect the Adam Savage museum of memrobilia. Aka his current workshop turned into a museum
Not the Smithsonian, they'll destroy him and hide the fact he ever existed.
Beard for Canada why would they do that?
@@somebodystupidd They wouldn't.
He's likely referring to the FALSE story that they destroyed 'evidence' that disproved Evolution.
Even though it was clearly a satire article that started the whole thing..
The Elders Scrolls told of his return.
Wow. The legend himself. All that’s left is 4 small pieces
AFAIK of Yuri Gagarin all that was left was only one ear.
I can remember the first episode of Mythbusters I saw, it was summer of 2007 and I was 8 years old. I walked into my friends room and saw you and Jamie hiding behind ballistic glass staring at a cement truck holding what looked like a remote in your hand, I couldn't help but think what are these guys doing so I stopped and watched and then BOOOM the truck was gone, my first thought was that was the coolest thing I'd ever seen...after that I was hooked I tuned in every week. You and the Mythbusters team are the reason I took an interest in engineering and science, I cant describe in words the impact (pun intended) you had on my childhood. I was devastated when I heard the show was ending, but it brought so much joy when I found tested, to get to see you making these incredible creations. I'm 21 now and I'd just like to say thank you so much for being the crazy, amazing, intelligent person you are, I am certain I would not be the same person I am today if it wasn't for you, Tory, Grant, Jamie and Kari. 🤟
Hey Adam I just wanted you to know that I've been watching Mythbusters since as long as I can remember and I'm so happy that you made a RUclips channel. I'm 14 now and MythBusters has had a huge impact on my life and my goals for the future thank you so much for making such an entertaining and brilliant show and it's really been a core point of my life growing up for these past 14 years. You're the best wish you well
Don't worry, Buster is a hive mind. -He's- They're okay.
Buster is like Ultron, as long as one survives, they all survive.
Adam's next Comicon: Walking the floor in a burned, crushed, squashed, broken Buster costume
we need a one day build of him making a glass dislpay or folding box similar to his leatherworking tools but for buster!
Buster really did felt like a character. Those lovable animations that you guys used to do in those explanations really did make Buster a really likeable character. You guys have learned me sooooooo much science and you guys made me interested in science. I remember watching the show with my dad and now we talk alot about science
I grew up on this show (I'm 26 now) and it got me so into science and thinking about the world through science. Love you guys, thanks so much Adam for showing us this. I haven't thought about buster in years!
Ah, I remember Buster from watching Mythbusters throughout much of my teenage years! Being a humanoid of the 1985 edition, I have lived through both quiet weekends and 2 channels on tv and rotary phones, big cellphones that you couldn’t afford to use, dial up modem and onwards into today’s high speed everything and pocket sized super computers (smart phones) and somewhere in the middle of it all was Mythbusters and Buster!
Wow hard to believe its been 17 years. I remember watching the episode when you unboxed Buster Mk. 1
Hey Adam, have you ever thought of displaying “Busters Face” on one of those blank mannequin busts? I think it may be a good idea for display.
Seeing this brought back so many memories. Thanks Adam
Thank you Adam and Buster. Your work is deeply appreciated!!!
Now we need a 1 day build with a stand and display for buster's parts or at least his face! He deserves it!
I’m honestly amazed there was anything left of him after what happened to him in the final episode.
Look how they massacred my boy!
FOR SCIENCE !!!!
I am so happy to see that you still have Buster with you. The story of his origin is fantastic to know. Thank you for sharing.
Mythbusters was my childhood. Knowing y'all all kept parts of what I'll call the team's mascot brings a smile to my face.
