In Mysore, you will feel like a Royal yourself, in the land of the Maharaja; everywhere you look, you can see grandiose buildings, not to mention the great Mysore Palace, tree lined wide roads, parks and so forth... positive vibes !!
@4:32, you can see the initial two buses (yellow and red with tyres on the roof), they are the Kerala govt. transport buses. You can always ask at the information counter at the bus terminal or the time keeper (in uniform) to get info on bus timings and routes. Keep enjoying your travels !!

Mysore Kingdom is the capital for Contemporary Hindustani Music also. You should listen to the amazing concerts in Raag Yo Durga at the foot of Chamundi Hills. They chant the Durga Suktam and do an amazing Aarati also.

BENGALURU GOT THE NICK NAME GARDEN CITY When it was BANGALORE!
IN 1960..80S the city was small and just one third population. Streets were full of trees and acres of gardens in LAL BAGH and
Cubbon Park...Malleswaram..etc.
Greenery everywhere.Only in end of 70s first tower like building came in M.G. ROAD . and another one UNITY BUILDING.OTHERWISE THERE WERE NO BUILDINGS ABOVE 4 STORIES.
MYSORE WAS CAPITAL BUT BANGALORE DEVELOPED LATER ONLY IN 1960S.

I m surprised that you didn't get bus to Chamundi hills, I think busses are running every 10 to 20 mins, including the AC buses, you should have asked someone to get guided properly.
