New subscriber here! I absolutely love your content! So glad you talked about mourning your single life when coming into marriage. I got engaged and married last year and experienced that very thing. I fully enjoyed my single season for the very things you discussed but desired marriage at some point in my life (no rush). Although I am immensely grateful for my husband, I started to mourn my single life because that is a chapter that will never come around again. Definitely thought I was crazy, because this is rarely ever discussed. And that dying to your old self is soooooooo real and raw! Thank you touching on these truths that one may experience!
You’re not crazy. I did a post on it a year or so ago and it blew up. Married women could totally relate to not wanting to be single, feeling blessed with their spouse and children, yet missing certain aspects of your life not being just about you. It’s like graduating from college, you get the career and reminiscence on the time when all you had to do was go to class, now you have the job you’ve always wanted but their were things you had to sacrifice for your dream job: time, freedom, and etc. yet there’s so much benefit in not being in school anymore. As a single I could spend time in prayer and study for hours. I could fast at the drop of a dime, now I have to include my husband on the decision and make arrangements for the house.
I love this. me and a sister in christ was going through some things in our friendship. I communicate but when I feel like im drowning in life, I tend to isolate and shut down and it made her feel like she did something. We talked about it. I acknowledged what I did, and then said I was sorry but I also feel as if, we still are not really talking like that. I feel like the enemy has tried to come between us.
Some things may take time but continue to show up and be yourself. I absolutely believe the enemy tries to separate us from those we care about but love will cover a multitude of sin. You do your part and draw her with love and kindness. If need be have another conversation and explain why you withdrew yourself. I take mini hiatuses as well when I’m overwhelmed. It took some time but now my sisters closest to me understand where I am although initially they took it personally.

This was so good ! Would you mind sharing how you worked on submission while IN your marriage. I know that wasn't easy but I am going through a similar situation where i am basically "learning on the job" and its difficult for both us. I want to develop that wisdom and submission so my husband can come to me for wisdom and I can build him up and not tear him down!
I’ll add it to this week’s video because it’s NO WAY I can type it all. That was probably THE HARDEST SEASON FOR ME! Oh but I’m glad I obeyed. The peace that results from it could only come from God!
@@mhykeexg Yes! Would love this in a video! I feel the only way to break those bad habits and be set free is through the Holy Spirit. No one can force or coerce you to do it, but like you said that PEACE, unity and breakthrough for your marriage is worth it! God honors that.
As a single woman of God actively practicing the things of God, when do we say yes to a man looking to court us? Would you consider that a discernment decision to make, how would we know if we don’t even have the beginning conversations?
My situation was a bit different than yours and Sha’s because Trev and I weren’t saved when we met. Although I was looking to grow my relationship with God, I still hadn’t come into the true knowledge of him. So yes discernment is critical but I think even more important is having a spiritual mother or father who can guide you as my dad did me. I brought Trev home to meet my dad and he assessed him to make sure I wasn’t being blinded by beautiful teeth and big dimples. 😂Ultimately, it’s your decision but it’s a big decision to make especially in today’s day and time when handsome devils are at an all time high.

I thank God that He allowed me to come across your channel just now. I’m divorced with two adult children and one thing that I’m enjoying is my singleness. I love LOVE! I told God the next man will be my God answering husband. I enjoy spending time with God and my children. My son is QB1 for his high school so he keeps me busy being his senior year. My daughter is in nursing school. I thank God that He allows me to have quality time with Him everyday. I have prayed for myself especially during the hard days and He answered my prayers. I will continue to pray and cover my children and future husband. God continue to bless you and your family.
