I’m a new subscriber and have been binge-watching your videos. I’m from Baton Rouge and remember you speaking at an influencer event years ago. At one point, I wondered why you stopped creating, but after hearing your story and testimony, I completely understand. I’ve been creating content for years and finally went viral this year. While I thought this was the moment I had prayed for, I’ve actually felt my lowest. Your messages have really been speaking to me, especially about conviction and setting boundaries. For a long time, I felt like my audience or community needed access to every aspect of my life in the name of being “transparent” and not “fake like other influencers.” But in reality, my personal life has been in shambles. I now realize God has been calling me to Him, and I’ve fought it for so long-sometimes even getting mad when RUclips suggested channels like yours because I knew the message would sting. I’m getting long-winded, but I just wanted to say thank you for your honesty and your message. Your videos have been such a blessing and are exactly what I needed in this season of my life.
@@SierraDavon oh wow! That seems like just yesterday but Lord God has taken me on a journey since then! I realized my purpose for creating content. When I made the shift, I began to get so much fulfillment out of it. I know what you mean, going viral doesn’t bring the satisfaction many think it will. God will surely give you wisdom on what to share and how. I knew I wasn’t a surface level creator but there is still a level of privacy. Thank you so much for watching. I know all too well how easy it is for influencing to become an idol. We have to be 100% focused on him. If we have one subscriber or one follower, then we should show up as if it’s 100,000 people watching. I had to realize if I was more concerned with numbers then it wasn’t TRULY for the glory of God. If you stick to the assignment he gives you, the deals and etc will come as a byproduct. Even if they don’t, there will be so much joy in doing what God has appointed you to do- make him famous. I just never any to compromise who I am but I want to share the light and honor God. Church today was simply about being the light in the midst of the darkness, can’t be one foot in and one foot out! I just want to walk in God purpose which brings me to the part of you speaking of modesty.
