Yes!! things are exactly the way they are supposed to be. As Jesus says "you need do nothing". There is nothing I can change about the past that would make the present different. "All things work towards the good." I practice forgiveness so that "sometimes a thousand years or more are saved." I practice, practice, practice until I need to practice no more. When the world of attack in my mind has changed to a world of peace, of love, of acceptance and no memory of separation dawns on my mind again.
"You're not a mind and a body, You're Wholly mind, Purely mind. Realize, that's what Creation is. It's One Mind. There's no mind...in matter. Recognition in the mind is purity, And Healing. Wow!
Jesus had to Do this too. In the very end..He had to pray..”Thy Will Be Done.” I don’t think it was any easier for Him than it is us. I have hit that place too. It is Hard and Frightening for me. David is teaching “baby steps.” That is helpful.
This is what Jesus was going through in the Garden of Gethsemenee when He sweat drops of blood. He had to Accept and Live the Fathers Will for Him. It is no wonder this is frightening for us too.
Jason, your honesty is magnificent. Excellent dialogue .Appropriate for my contemporary situation, detaching from conditions of the belief of security. I think money is such a powerful worldly devise that is so insidious. The device wraps itself around everything until you are willing to step out the sticky bubble and realise that's all it is. Illusion. As David says, the only way out is saturation in the truth. Thank you mighty companions.
I L❤️OVE this! David, I find your voice very soothing. And I love your honesty and transparency, Jason. You're both very beautiful. ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing.✨🙏🏽✨
without a doubt we must trust ourselves ... trust in what we decree and always be aware that what we think is in tune with what we want to attract to our lives
I love these explorations into the mind that Jason and David take from the bottom up. I never know what these explorations are going to flush up into my awareness, but whatever it might be; even if it seems non sequitur to what's being discussed, it's obviously not or it wouldn't be showing up for me to look at. Surprisingly, for me, it has become typical that what often gets pushed into my awareness during Jason and David's explorations, are memories of my experiences while on the spiritual path that is known as Scientology (the study of learning how to know). This body identity avatar I'm using is almost 68 years old and for 32 years I used it to journey the Scientology (Scn) spiritual path. While it has been surprising that these discussions have pushed memories of my Scn experiences into my awareness, it is not surprising that there is much from those 32 yrs to look at and reinterpret from an ACIM perspective. I set foot on the Scn path in Feb of '76. I found this path via reading the book, Dianetics The Modern Science of Mental Health written by L. Ron Hubbard. As was typical in those days, the first thing anyone exploring this path was required to do was "The" communication course. Back then it was an incredible.life changing course but I have no idea what it's like today (I let that path go over a decade ago). The bulk of the course was a series of drills that focused on key components of communication. The first three drills were designed to gradiently increase one's ability to confront; an essential, fundamental component of communication. Scn considers that confront is an ability and being an ability it can be increased. Scn defines confront as being the ability to comfortably be there (hold a location in space and time) and face whatever (I can't emphasize the whatever part enough) it is you're facing without doing anything else; e.g., thinking, moving around, twitching, scratching, coughing, laughing, etc. Obviously, being able to comfortably confront anything is an important part in effective communication and that was certainly why Scn focused on increasing this ability in it's practitioners to the intense degree it did. However, there was another, even more important reason for doing so and that had to do with the spiritual counseling practices of Scn called auditing. In auditing, the counselor (auditor) using techniques supposedly developed by Hubbard, takes the subject of their counseling, into the subject's unconscious mind to seek out a specific incident, involving pain and unconsciousness. One's ability to confront must be high to have this be viable. This is an incident that is not in the conscious awareness of the subject. It is the unknowing source of a lot of difficulty that the subject is experiencing in their life. But once the subject finds this incident in their unconscious mind (it was put there because the subject could not confront it at the time it occurred) and thoroughly examines it (confronts it), any emotional charge or control it has over the subject is completely erased. Had the subject not increased their ability to confront prior to the counselling session, they very well may not have been able to confront the painful incident in their unconscious mind and thereby undo it; the same incident they couldn't confront when it seemed to have happened to them. What has occurred to me in reviewing this procedure is that the spiritual counseling (auditing) that is practiced in both Dianetics and Scn, is the complicated, arduous, time consuming, very expensive practice of going into the unconscious mind to find and undo the guilt. This path is taken because a particular mental mechanism is not known about. That mental mechanism is projection. The mind projecting the unconscious guilt makes perception; that is, an external world populated with "others." Others that seem to be doing bad things to themselves and others (including me). Learning the mechanics of projection through the metaphysical teachings of ACIM and coming to understand that what seems to be an external world is a composite of my projected unconscious guilt...well, that has been such an incredible lesson for me! Then, learning how to forgive (undo) the projections and thereby completely erase the guilt has given me the gift of enormous relief and an opening up to happiness. Yes, there are many, many ways to arrive at spiritual freedom but some of those ways are so much easier and faster than others! Forgiving what has never happened is a remarkably fast track to spiritual freedom!!
I remember hearing 'the lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want' as 'I shall not want this Shepherd'. It always confused me, but like much of the Bible I just filed in under 'confusing'. How revelatory (and funny that I read it the other way ) it seemed when I finally heard it in my mind correctly. I very much relate to the experience of this deep fear talked about in the video, like a vibration, even a metallic smell in the back of my nose?, (maybe I am having a heart attack, ha ha) and, as mentioned elsewhere, it feels ever-present now, in the background, but like a basement floor with no further to go. I assume that in letting go there is indeed a symbolic death involved, an end of something, or seemingly everything and it also feels like everything I do now except explore this is a distraction. Thank you both so much for this conversation.
Hi David, as a new course student, I would love to hear more about your “hermitage” days. It’s a big challenge to look at the guilt and belief in the convictions of my own sinfulness without hearing these types of stories. I am so conditioned to look on my own that I get tied up in the fear that if I don’t try “facing,” what comes up I will deny or suppress it. Should I put effort into looking at what comes up or do I let the effort go and simply focus on Yeshua if anything comes into awareness? Will he then direct me to look naturally simply because I am willing to look? Doing it on my own just seems to perpetrate the guilt and fear. I know I am quite neurotic lol, I need a lot of help. Thank you as always!

Now that is probably the most precise description of Scn's inaccuracy I've ever encountered. Thank you!
i really need this
It deeply resonates with a side of my human experience that makes me have faith that things of this resonance do happen on earth. Much appreciation🙏🙏🌈
