I was treated by Dr. Redwood at the ER dept at piedmont hospital for another issue a couple of years before Covid, and I remember him being so patient with me, listening intently, and caring for me so well. Can’t say that about some of the other ER physicians at Piedmont or Emory here in Atlanta. Well, it’s their loss, though I’m sure so long as the money flows they don’t give a crap

This stands out to me. -I suppose your response to that would be, " The COVID vaccine hasn't been tested long enough." This is fair argument, but I have to disagree with its validity. -mRNA vaccines have been tested in humans for nearly 10 years. The COVID vaccines were designed and created on technology that had been human tested for nearly a decade. -By the very design of mRNA vaccines, they are unable to alter DNA and the mRNA is denatured and "gone" very quickly. This is why some of the vaccines have to be refrigerated, or else the mRNA would already "be finished." -From years and years of research and experimentation, scientist could be sure that any short term side affects of the vaccine would be less significant than the virus itself. -Of course, there are people that have EXTREMELY rare and fatal side effects to the the COVID vaccine. But these occurrences are not unique to the COVID vaccine. These rare side effects occur in other vaccines. However, the same people using this argument against the COVID vaccine, don't seem to be deterred by the polio vaccine, the HPV vaccine, or the influenza vaccine. -There doesn't seem to be consistency with views of the covid vaccine in relation to other vaccines and well established science. My 19 year old nephew had a heart attack from the COVID vaccine. His heart Dr stated the vaccine caused inflammation in his heart. He is now on heart medication for the rest of his life. The damage is irreversible.
ALL vaccines are excused from liability for public health reasons and have been exempt from liability from the start.. If there’s severe injury there are cases where the vaccine maker can be held liable. Out of millions of doses of the covid vaccine there have been relatively few serious side effects, the same number as ANY drug that is prescribed. You take a risk every time you take a prescribed medication. There have been serious side effects from the use of Viagra but I don’t see anyone complaining about that.🙄
Because we are in a pandemic. Vaccines being created in record time means less time for testing and verifying safety, it's true. They are not going to release life saving vaccines if they can be immediately sued for anything that goes wrong. But remember, we are in a PANDEMIC. It's not a little outbreak of a cold.
My entire family got two to three shots.. all of them are sick and dying right now. My mother has sever blood clots and heart issues, my brother looks terrible and dying, my step brother suddenly had aggressive cancer, etc... Loss many friends. So... all BS. I told them not to take the shot.

I got my first Pfzier vaccine a couple of years ago, shortly after it first came out. I didn't want to because I thought it was too soon to roll it out to the public but I was pressured by my family. I got really scary symptoms right after the first shot and feel lucky that I even survived. There is NO WAY I am getting another COVID shot. I wear my mask in high-risk situations, wash my hands regularly, etc. When I tried to report my symptoms to my doctor or tell other people how bad it was they said it was all in my head. It wasn't. I had numbness in my legs, muscle fasciculations all over my body for weeks, and just felt really really off. A month and a half later I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and uterine precancer. I don't know if the cancer was related to the shot but I know the shot really really messed with my body at a very deep level and was terrifying. The adverse reactions are being hushed up by the medical community and politicians. If I had the opportunity to back in time, I would never have gotten that first shot. I don't blame this dr. for not getting the shot. It's too new and the bad and dangerous side-effects are real.

Social distancing was impossible to enforce. The affluent don't follow the rules, we know this. I had an Asian lady admit she got off a flight from Singapore, shortly after travel bans were lifted. I had customers that thought curbside was acceptable even though they currently had Covid. Long story short I was probably extremely high risk for catching it. Not one of my ten co workers ever got it, nor any immediate family members. I got vaccinated on 9/11/21 J&J single dose. I held and had no plan but gave in, during an interview process for a new job. Since the vaccination my heart has not been right. I received the vaccine at no cost but being uninsured I will have to budget and save if I want to have this heart problem diagnose and treated. The egk is where I'm told to start and that's 350. Best case scenario I guess I take medication for the rest of my life. My uncle has arrhythmia from drinking, hopefully I don't get his medication it's $700 a month with insurance! And to be quite frank I don't care about the whole "we in this all together". Together being the rich elite, the boomers that sold our future for complacency, that unhealthy that indulge in junk food, and all these entitle f$#_s like you that wanna force medical decesions for me! He was protected by the PPE and protocols that have been implemented. The hospital has a right to implement best practices for the service they provide. In this case that means being vaccinated fully and completely. It would undermine the duty to protect clause in their mission statement if even one person was allowed to be absolved of the responsibility of his peers
Atlanta looks to be losing a great doctor and I respect his stance. I have the same concerns he does. I am 49, fit, O blood type, my blood work shows vit D levels in the normal range and I take zinc, D, And C everyday. I haven't gotten the Covid yet and have lived my life fully (maskless) for the past 2 years. Just want to be left alone.

If you have no comorbidities and are healthy, why are you going to take a vaccine WITH NO LONG TERM STUDIES when you still have a lot of life left in you to live? An elderly person at 85 taking this vaccine in order to get protection and to potentially live a few more years is not the same gamble as a 40 year old with decades to live taking it, not knowing what it may do to his or her body in the future. This doctor, being healthy, has the potential to easily live another twenty years. If it isnt broken, why fix it?

There’s way more doctors and nurses who have had the vaccine, he is a small portion of those who have decided not to get vaccinated. ER nurse - unvaccinated- been working since the beginning. Just recently had covid for the first time at the new year. I felt bad for 2-3 days. Perfectly fine now. My mom just had Covid - unvaccinated- perfectly fine now and she has acute respiratory issues. It’s definitely too soon to know the long term effects and I definitely think it’ll be neurological

My wife’s work is trying to force it or be fired by Dec 8 but they make it sound like their employees have a choice. Her friend tried to opt out for the religious opt out but then was terminated after 17 years. They said she didn’t give enough information so she is suppose to have 30 to appeal but they won’t even let her appeal and give more info. Our state isn’t even mandating it but the company tries to act like the state is. It appears they may risk loosing at least 1,800 employees at the local branch if they force it.

I will speak to my reasoning for not getting the vaccine. My reasoning is that the data is extreemly clear that COVID affects people with comorbdies..OVERWHELMING. The offical number is 95% but considering a margin of error it very well could be 100%. Of those comordbies the vast majority of them are 3 specific ones. 3 that I personally do not have. Can I spread the virus? of course I can but who would I spread it too that would be at risk of illness? well ONLY the unvaccinated who have made the same choice. I personally think the vaccine is effective and I would suggest people who are firmly in the cormorbdies to get it

It's not dangerous. Even if the vaccine would have some dangerous effect, it would be extremely rare and infinitesimal compared to covid. Covid has killed 5 million people. It's dangerous.
Their is an ongoing conflict if interest within professional bodies. This is undeniable at present. What we need is independent bodies that review and peer review stats. This then would improve data and trust .
I am neither pro vax nor anti vax. I am pro choice in this matter. This is coming from an unbiased vaccinated person, he is entitled to his right. There are some people (rare compared to the masses but still some people) who have had long term negative reactions to the vax. Some people don’t wanna take that chance and that’s their right.
Under normal circumstances, I'd agree. Choice is a very fine thing, but when it directly threatens the nation's health, it ceases to be relevant. COVID has already killed nearly 150,000 in my country (the UK), and over five million worldwide, so how many more have to die before these selfish individuals start to take it seriously? Global pandemics are not about them and their liberties, they're about fighting disease. I agree that some have reacted badly to the jabs, but the numbers are tiny compared to those who haven't - or those who have reacted far worse to COVID! The older you are, the more likely you're able to die from Covid even if vaccinated n the reason being is because there hasn't been decades of research on the vaccine. It came out last year when it was found, pushed to the public and now we have boosters. You can still get Covid regardless if you're vaccinated, spread it to other people and get side effects. To add on to my case, an Israeli study shows that if or when you recover from Covid, your natural immunity is 13x more stronger than that of the vaccine. Meaning your memory cells will remember the next time it comes across Covid and fight it off. I'm not saying to go and attract Covid, no not saying that at all,but if you were to recover from it, you will have natural immunity for a long time, perhaps maybe a lifetime. To prove my case again, a 90 yr old woman who survived the Spanish Flu still has her immunity to this day. Your body works in mysterious but biological ways in order to fight viruses and sicknesses like no other but again depends on your age and also depends on how healthy you are too, your vitamin intakes along with food. The stronger your immune systems are, the stronger your body is to fight the virus. Another great case would be Chicken Pox. How deadly that virus was towards adults vs young children. I had it when I was 6, developed the immunity and have it ran across it since and the vaccine for it was effective, as well as for small pox, mumps, measles, etc.

If I showed up at the ER I would 100% want an unvaccinated doctor as opposed to no doctor at all. These staffing shortages are going to hit our country harder than anyone realizes. I agree with him, they should be treated with respect for showing up and helping patients even when there were little or no protections available to them. These firings are short sighted and will sadly impact overall care for all of us.

The long term effects may likely be things like compromised heart function, GBS, chronic narcolepsy (as was some 15,000 people on swine flu vaccine), birth defects (as with Thalidomide), chronic respiratory compromise, etc. Why the short-term problems alone haven't halted these vaccines is beyond me.

Remember the other very important thing we are taught? To administer something to our patient who is refusing constitutes an "assault" by legal definition, then further subjecting our patient with something like a parenteral injection constitutes a "battery" by legal definition. Just because the government makes an illegal mandate does not negate these standards of care.

-I suppose your response to that would be, " The COVID vaccine hasn't been tested long enough." This is fair argument, but I have to disagree with its validity.
-mRNA vaccines have been tested in humans for nearly 10 years. The COVID vaccines were designed and created on technology that had been human tested for nearly a decade.
-By the very design of mRNA vaccines, they are unable to alter DNA and the mRNA is denatured and "gone" very quickly. This is why some of the vaccines have to be refrigerated, or else the mRNA would already "be finished."
-From years and years of research and experimentation, scientist could be sure that any short term side affects of the vaccine would be less significant than the virus itself.
-Of course, there are people that have EXTREMELY rare and fatal side effects to the the COVID vaccine. But these occurrences are not unique to the COVID vaccine. These rare side effects occur in other vaccines. However, the same people using this argument against the COVID vaccine, don't seem to be deterred by the polio vaccine, the HPV vaccine, or the influenza vaccine.
-There doesn't seem to be consistency with views of the covid vaccine in relation to other vaccines and well established science. Rather there seems to be a waive of hysteria and emotion that negates the opportunity for further understanding.

If there’s severe injury there are cases where the vaccine maker can be held liable. You take a risk every time you take a prescribed medication. There have been serious side effects from the use of Viagra but I don’t see anyone complaining about that.🙄

I got my first Pfzier vaccine a couple of years ago, shortly after it first came out. I didn't want to because I thought it was too soon to roll it out to the public but I was pressured by my family. I got really scary symptoms right after the first shot and feel lucky that I even survived. There is NO WAY I am getting another COVID shot. I wear my mask in high-risk situations, wash my hands regularly, etc. When I tried to report my symptoms to my doctor or tell other people how bad it was they said it was all in my head. It wasn't. I had numbness in my legs, muscle fasciculations all over my body for weeks, and just felt really really off. A month and a half later I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and uterine precancer. I don't know if the cancer was related to the shot but I know the shot really really messed with my body at a very deep level and was terrifying. The adverse reactions are being hushed up by the medical community and politicians. If I had the opportunity to back in time, I would never have gotten that first shot. I don't blame this dr. for not getting the shot. It's too new and the bad and dangerous side-effects are real.

Like this Dr I worked the whole time retail in a small grocery store where our business was up 30%. We were busy, I encounter 30-60 people a day in close proximity. Social distancing was impossible to enforce. The affluent don't follow the rules, we know this. I had an Asian lady admit she got off a flight from Singapore, shortly after travel bans were lifted. I had customers that thought curbside was acceptable even though they currently had Covid. Long story short I was probably extremely high risk for catching it. Not one of my ten co workers ever got it, nor any immediate family members.
I got vaccinated on 9/11/21 J&J single dose. I held and had no plan but gave in, during an interview process for a new job.
Since the vaccination my heart has not been right. I received the vaccine at no cost but being uninsured I will have to budget and save if I want to have this heart problem diagnose and treated. The egk is where I'm told to start and that's 350.
Best case scenario I guess I take medication for the rest of my life. My uncle has arrhythmia from drinking, hopefully I don't get his medication it's $700 a month with insurance!

He was protected by the PPE and protocols that have been implemented. The hospital has a right to implement best practices for the service they provide. In this case that means being vaccinated fully and completely. Atlanta looks to be losing a great doctor and I respect his stance. I have the same concerns he does. I am 49, fit, O blood type, my blood work shows vit D levels in the normal range and I take zinc, D, And C everyday. I haven't gotten the Covid yet and have lived my life fully (maskless) for the past 2 years. Just want to be left alone.

If we're really going to "follow the science", every hospital employee should submit to testing regardless of vaccine status because vaccinated people can get and spread the virus. An elderly person at 85 taking this vaccine in order to get protection and to potentially live a few more years is not the same gamble as a 40 year old with decades to live taking it, not knowing what it may do to his or her body in the future. This doctor, being healthy, has the potential to easily live another twenty years. If it isnt broken, why fix it?

There’s way more doctors and nurses who have had the vaccine, he is a small portion of those who have decided not to get vaccinated. My wife’s work is trying to force it or be fired by Dec 8 but they make it sound like their employees have a choice. Her friend tried to opt out for the religious opt out but then was terminated after 17 years. They said she didn’t give enough information so she is suppose to have 30 to appeal but they won’t even let her appeal and give more info. Our state isn’t even mandating it but the company tries to act like the state is. It appears they may risk loosing at least 1,800 employees at the local branch if they force it.

I will speak to my reasoning for not getting the vaccine. My reasoning is that the data is extreemly clear that COVID affects people with comorbdies..OVERWHELMING. The offical number is 95% but considering a margin of error it very well could be 100%. Of those comordbies the vast majority of them are 3 specific ones. 3 that I personally do not have. Can I spread the virus? of course I can but who would I spread it too that would be at risk of illness? well ONLY the unvaccinated who have made the same choice. I personally think the vaccine is effective and I would suggest people who are firmly in the cormorbdies to get it

It's not dangerous. Even if the vaccine would have some dangerous effect, it would be extremely rare and infinitesimal compared to covid. Covid has killed 5 million people. It's dangerous.
Their is an ongoing conflict if interest within professional bodies. This is undeniable at present. What we need is independent bodies that review and peer review stats. This then would improve data and trust .
I am neither pro vax nor anti vax. I am pro choice in this matter. This is coming from an unbiased vaccinated person, he is entitled to his right. There are some people (rare compared to the masses but still some people) who have had long term negative reactions to the vax. Some people don’t wanna take that chance and that’s their right.
Under normal circumstances, I'd agree. Choice is a very fine thing, but when it directly threatens the nation's health, it ceases to be relevant. We are never going to get out of this mess as long as we continue to pander to the whims of people who think they're something special. COVID has already killed nearly 150,000 in my country (the UK), and over five million worldwide, so how many more have to die before these selfish individuals start to take it seriously? Global pandemics are not about them and their liberties, they're about fighting disease.
I agree that some have reacted badly to the jabs, but the numbers are tiny compared to those who haven't - or those who have reacted far worse to COVID! Far better to take the jab and be ill for a couple of days (if at all) than do nothing and be dead for a very long time.

I had it when I was 6, developed the immunity and have it ran across it since and the vaccine for it was effective, as well as for small pox, mumps, measles, etc.

If I showed up at the ER I would 100% want an unvaccinated doctor as opposed to no doctor at all. These staffing shortages are going to hit our country harder than anyone realizes. I agree with him, they should be treated with respect for showing up and helping patients even when there were little or no protections available to them. These firings are short sighted and will sadly impact overall care for all of us.

Update: When the government stopped paying hospitals extra for cases, the problem suddenly disappeared. However, cases of cancer, blood clots, heart attacks, stroke, diabetes, sudden death, menstrual problems and neurological disorders have skyrocketed. Doctors are baffled.

The long term effects may likely be things like compromised heart function, GBS, chronic narcolepsy (as was some 15,000 people on swine flu vaccine), birth defects (as with Thalidomide), chronic respiratory compromise, etc. Why the short-term problems alone haven't halted these vaccines is beyond me.

It was created by telling hospitals not to test vaccinated people who came into hospitals with symptoms not related to Covid-19 but that they must still test all the unvaccinated people coming into the same hospitals. This order went out from the CDC in late April. Now they’ve stopped making these claims because they are patently false and they want people to get booster shots because the effect of the prior ones have all worn off. It’s actually reversed(!) such that the most vaccinated countries have the most COVID-19. Four of the five most COVID-19 stricken counties in the US are ones with the highest vaccination rates. They punish us because they dont like common sense being used against them. I laugh at people who tell me I will be on a ventilator because i had covid as an asthmatic and recovered pretty quickly. And i was unknowingly pregnant at the time. 2 weeks of snots and coughs. Then i was fine. They HATE that we arent dying as they claim covid does to people. On Halloween, i went to ER bc the vomitting and nausea caused severe dehydration. The moronic doctor i had thought it was covid symptoms even after i had to pee TWICE in a cup bc each time was a couple mL and they need a pregnancy test and UA. Instead, he made me do a covid test which came back negative, and offered NOTHING for the nausea and vomiting. Stating "you didn't vomit while here, so.." yes, bc not having food or drink on my stomach will cause me to vomit. I trust half these doctors as much as I trust a bailiff to be a doctor. Doctors are as smart as their textbooks tell them to be. They dont study medicine anymore. They just study ways to keep us needing them.
@@Idontcarewhatyouclaim i wouldn't say all doctors, but yes its too textbook now, too corporate, literally i had a really bad infection from a cat scratch, and the doctor goes to give me augmentin, now for some reason augmentin doesn't work on me, it just doesn't, idk why, it should be in my records, but i told him dont give me augmentin it doesn't work ,i told him the other antibiotic my doctor usually prescribes me, but instead he says "no when someone has an infection from a cat scratch this is the antibiotic we prescribe"despite me telling him, yes i understand that except it doesn't work on me so they have to prescribe another one...so anyway, he still gives me the augmentin,i fill it right away hoping that it'll help somewhat, but nope the infection got so bad, i was in the hospital again in less than 48 hours with a fever, and they had to keep me overnight giving me iv antibiotics....never got an apology...

Remember the other very important thing we are taught? To administer something to our patient who is refusing constitutes an "assault" by legal definition, then further subjecting our patient with something like a parenteral injection constitutes a "battery" by legal definition. Just because the government makes an illegal mandate does not negate these standards of care.
My sisters health has drastically declined after the Pfizer vaccine. Her symptoms became so debilitating that she is currently admitted and under observation for the past 3 days. She stopped eating 2 weeks ago and barely talks now. She’s in a complete state of confusion. Before the jab, she was perfectly healthy. No one wants to talk about the sinister reality that’s occurring to all of humanity! Prayers for her are requested! Y’all do your research PLEASE!
