    Thank you Sara for explaining what "Pheochromocytom" is. My doctor was very shocked to see my blood test results being so high. They found this issue through a CT scan and a PET Scan. I will be needing surgery soon for this condition. I also had symptoms of palpitations, sweating, anxiousness, high blood pressure, shaky hands, and more. I also had a 24-hour urine test. I love your videos! This has really helped me understand what this condition is and you're good at what you do! Keep it up!

    I had a pheochromocytoma and pretty sure I have a paraganglioma now. The one big issue I have with this is the statement ".....and the doctor will look further into this and see the patient has a pheochromocytoma." I never had an ER doctor look further into it. Once I even went to the ER because my BP was 260/190. They determined I didn't have a heart attack and discharged me while I still have extremely high BP. Took almost a decade to find it. One ER doctor even suggested I not come back to the ER because I was wasting their time. Some doctors are useless. I met a lot of them.

      I thought the same thing. If they can call it anxiety and send you out the door, they will. It's so hard to find a doctor that will listen, but they definitely don't exist in the ER.

      @JN-fl3kz Год назад +2

      Same here. Been having exact symptons. One dr said I had paraganglioma in the neck, now they are saying scans can not find it. Many episodes to ER and they just send me back home.

      @@JN-fl3kzlook up carotid body tumor and treatment.. have you at least been treated for symptoms like with propranolol? Sorry , I'm a nurse and think I might have a carotid body tumor ie paraganlioma, a functional one.. also if you have a relative with a neuroendocrine tumor.. thats more ammunition for them to further investigate..

    I have to go back here because I have to thank you for your wonderful videos. I took the NCLEX-PN today. Actually I just finished taking it 6 hours ago. And I got the good pop-up from the PV trick. I know it's too early to celebrate, but I still want to thank you because I had only 4 remaining days left before my test today and I saw your videos. God probably did it for me to pass the test. I watched them every time I go to the the bathroom or even in the public library or while cooking or listen to them while eating. I answered your quizzes too. Thank you so much!!!! I will be watching your videos again and again in preparation for my NCLEX-RN in the future..... Thanks so much again... Please keep posting videos.... You are a great help to all of us.... You're the best!!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👍 And what's more amazing is that I took my test today Nov 23, a day before Thanksgiving so it is a big big blessing for me... you are a blessing... literally....

      WOW, thank you so much for the amazing comment, Vincent! Seriously, it really meant a lot to me to read it. First of all, congrats to you! I'm so very honored you used my videos to help you study, and I'm glad you found them. I know you have to feel so relieved to have it over and finally start your nursing career. It is so awesome you listened to my videos everywhere you went (I got a kick out of reading about how you listened to them in the bathroom, at the library, and when cooking). Again, thank you for this awesome comment because I love to know I'm helping you nursing students out...which is the whole reason my channel exist...is for you all. I look forward to helping you with the NCLEX-RN exam. Happy Thanksgiving, Vincent!

      Yes, I did pass when I posted this comment. Actually, I took the exam the same day I posted this comment. And I did the PV trick and knew that I passed, then 6 hours later, I posted this comment because RegisteredNurseRN's videos were helpful during my review. I would say I watched her videos 75% of the time during my NCLEX-PN review while driving, cooking, or going to the bathroom. Lol. I watched her NCLEX-RN videos even though I was reviewing for NCLEX-PN because I felt like I was learning more of the theoretical framework of the NCLEX. I'm now currently working as LVN in our hospital. And I'm still watching her videos up to now in preparation for my BSN program probably starting this summer 2017.

      Hi Sarah, @RegisteredNurseRN. Remember this day when I posted this when I passed my NCLEX-PN? Now, I have to go back here because I just passed my NCLEX-RN. The day (March 7) before my test day (March 8), I did binge-watch your videos. I know that, that is not supposed to be what I had to do the day before the test, but I just felt like I had to binge-watch your videos because I know that your videos helped me to pass NCLEX-PN. Why not for NCLEX-RN? I am so thankful. I always recommend your channel to my friends. You are an instrument! Once again, thank you. And please keep making vidoes. Keep posting. Keep teaching. You are a blessing! Thank you. God bless!

    I started my journey with these exact symptoms 9 years ago at the age of 40. Episodic blood pressure spikes that include raised heart rate and feeling of doom. Happens about twice a year. I also now have heat intolerance and flushing mainly on my chest and abdomen. I just had an abdominal CT the other day after a finding of high insulin (38 UIU/ML). Everything in the CT appeared normal, including adrenal glands. I think my condition may have been developing even before the first bad episode in 2011, because I had migraines that included similar symptoms in the chest. I haven't recognized anything that causes the episodes. However, a bowel movement has often marked the turn around point of the episode. Sometimes eating a substantial meal will either trigger the bowel movement, or trigger the turn around on it's own. Not sure which. I feel like this is slowly wrecking my body. I don't know what to do. A few years after the onset, I was diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm.

      Thanks for watching the video! I appreciate it. The videos I make are geared towards nursing students taking the NCLEX....so morphology isn't really a topic students need to know for the NCLEX..therefore that is why I don't include it in my videos. Thanks for your request though!

      Yes nurses in America sometimes know even more than the doctors but we all play a key role 🙂💜

      Theses are rare! But maybe because most docs don't even look for them. Hope you're well. I'm afraid to ask for testing..I think I have one as well. I'm a nurse and for some reason medical people call everyone hypochondriac if you try and diagnose yourself.

      Also, do you mind telling if it was a gp or specialist who diagnosed?
