    In all honesty, do you realize how many people that fly do not respect anything airlines personnel asks them to do? This hostie's word choice was their preference. You made their day so much easier: 1 less passenger to have to go into a long, drawn out conversation (like pulling a tooth that doesn't want to come out) about the "why" the passenger is being asked to do simple things to comply with aviation's required standards of safety.
    "Stunning" wasn't about beauty this time. It was used more about the way you complied & carried out the tasks you were requested to do so effectively & well.
    (I grew up flying. People's behavior on commercial passenger flights have become tremendously "nightmarish" towards hosties & other passengers.) Thank you for making that hostie's day better. One smiling face, one kind reply, one respectful action can help make their day less stressful. =)
    Your first flight is probably more of what they call a "Shuttle Flight" here in the USA. It's when the same crew flies between the same 2 cities multiple times in one day (back & forth). Your longer flight from Australia to Chicago was an "International Flight". (I'm sorry Orion. You are excellent at absorbing & sharing useful information.=) It's okay to let me know if I'm incorrect about anything.

    Don't over think it, it's obviously a colloquial slang for good job. Also, you don't know how poorly others may have performed in this simple procedural request! hahaha

      @@WilliamAlanPhoto I, too, am autistic and I overthink all the time.
      I have as far back as I can remember. I wish I could stop overthinking - especially the little things! Most of the time I don't even realize I'm doing it.
      I have been working on changing this behavior, but at age 65, I doubt I'll be able to completely conquer it before I die. 😂
      Peace, Brother. ☮️✌🏼🕊️
      We celebrate our differences; at least better than those neurotypicals. 😉

      I love the way you said you do it even when you don't realize it. Yes! Exactly! I had yet to hear someone put it that way (the way I have noticed it for a couple of months now.)

    If this had happened to me I may have taken it as rude sarcasm. Like she was so stunned that I was bright enough to understand her wishes and perform in a correct manner. Another thought may be that other people usually give her grief and she was surprised you were cooperative. Perhaps in your case you are just stunning. 😂
    So many ways to take things makes life complicated. I would be upset by the many interpretations that could be made of that as well…

    Hey, Orion,
    I love your channel and share it with people to help them understand me. I relate to most of what you say.
    I recently had a person affect me very strongly in how they treated me. We're both part of a very positive group that uses techniques to eliminate negativity which have tremendously helped me in life as an Autistic Person. This person treated me so horribly it has greatly affected me and causes me to be concerned with him needing to be in the group.
    When I talked with my coach, she encouraged me, but a recent talk caused me to realize she doesn't understand that the reason I'm still thinking about this person is because of my being Autistic, and how it affects me from that. I've used various techniques we are trained in, and they're just fine. But even when I had put him out of my mind, when he was featured in a brief interview, I was thinking of him again, and when I brought it up to her, she thought it was already over and felt I was stuck on this.
    Without referencing my specific situation, could you please do a video talking about how someone or something can affect us, and when we have moved past it, even using strategies, when it comes up again in our faces we can become justly concerned about others without thinking it can affect us again. And being concerned about others doesn't mean we haven't put it behind us.
    Does this make sense?
    I again ask not to reference my situation just so when the video comes up, I can then share it with her to help explain where I'm coming from.
    Thanks!
    David "D'veed" James

      Can you please help me understand more about the part of thinking of things that are upsetting for longer times than neurotypicals? I am in a jam at work for repeat burn outs and my energy is drained so all my traits usually hidden are all showing and it is taken badly by the people I work with. I have delayed processing of emotions and that is making things hard. People keep telling me I shouldn’t be thinking on the things that are going badly but the more intense it gets the more I hyper focus on the problem to solve. It’s opposite of what people expect me to do and I don’t really understand what is happening to me. If I could explain to others it would help because people are not understanding me at work even when I tell them I say what I mean and have no other hidden meaning.

    Maybe she meant stunning in another way? Like when a bird smacks prey that it’s just caught against a rock to knock it out. Perhaps the hostie (flight attendant in the US) was informing you that you were successful in using the tray table to stun the in flight magazine in the seatback pocket into submission. Did you have any further trouble with the magazine en route?
    Well, it’s a theory! I’m not saying a good one.

    Wjat is Bircher Meuli?

    • @amandamandamands
      @amandamandamands 4 месяца назад +1

      Apparently bircher muesli is also called overnight oats. It is soaked overnight before eating (when I used to make it I would make a batch that would last approx 5 days) and can have fruit and nuts in it, there are lots of different variations.

    • @hellomiakoda3782
      @hellomiakoda3782 4 месяца назад

      @@amandamandamands I'm willing to try it. How do I do it? Is it just like... oatmeal oats?

    • @amandamandamands
      @amandamandamands 4 месяца назад

      @@hellomiakoda3782 I think so, I live in Australia so for me the oats for doing this are the same as for making porridge (not the instant ones), when I look it up online they say that the cut of oats is slightly different for porridge and oatmeal.
      I would suggest doing a search for bircher muesli lots of different recipes came up so look for one that you like the sounds of.
      I can't eat oats so when I made mine it was with rice flakes, I would soak them in almond milk and put in almond flakes, pepitas, pine nuts and grated apple. The amount of milk in it would be totally absorbed (like when you make porridge) and then when I portioned up that days for breakfast I would add a bit more milk to it.
