- Amazing Double Nunchucks. Nunchuck or the Double Sectional Sticks can be spelled different ways! I've heard them pronounced as Nunchaku, nunchucks, nunchuck, numchuck, and numchucks. No matter how you say, Nunchucks, this Martial Arts weapons is famous and practiced in many different forms of Karate, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, and other Asian Martial Arts Fighting Systems. Hi, I started training with the nunchuka a few months ago and am enjoying it alot. Still working on spins etc but will def put these spins from your video to practise.
I'm now practicing katana, nunchucks bostaff and my favorite: rope dart\chain whip and i love to do it in my free time. :)

I like doing some spins with my Bō when I have a day off, because some one handed spins, spins over the head and kind of creating a choreography for music is really relaxing and the more you do spins, the easier it will get with your eyes shut and just feeling the Bō

Enjoyed the nunchuck video. I am currently trying to learn nunchucks but have always been a staff person. Used to have a 5 foot solid wood staff and a 6 foot made of pvc pipe that I would use when I just wanted to work my arms and relax. I miss the staff work but unforunately no longer have a yard to practice in.
1st: thank you for discribing nunchucks as relaxing. I never thought of it, but I guess that's one of the reasons I find myself yerning for them in the middle of the day. 2nd, great tornado spin breakdown. thank you. Please do more tutorials when you have time. thank you.

Very motivated by your videos sir. I started nunchaku training about month ago for an hour to two a day every day since and I love the way you teach those weapons with always a sense of humor with other teachers videos very often lacks. I was frustrated not being able to pick up tornado spin in a day but after watching this one I will keep in mind it migh take a bit longer 😊

Favourite meditational weapons and how I prefer to train them: Longsword doing the flourish according to the Döbringer manuscript. And, starting from shorter sticks all the way up to bo-staff, doing spins and tricks (making it look awesome). :) Going to make myself a pair of nunchucks this weekend and will start with your tutorials! (as I did with the bo-staff)
Cool, it seems some innovation over the skills developed by Bruce Lee such as 2:21 that I never saw Bruce played it that way on the screen. That is a good form of commemorating the legend.

I just started using the Nunchuck this week, I must say it is a lot of fun but it sucks to hit the elbow, I smacked it five times the first day. Still hurts right now and i'm still using them. Liked the video and i'll be sure to look out for more.

I turned 70 yesterday and am interested in learning this as something fun to work on using my body. I ordered a foam nunchuk and am looking forward to being a beginner. Are you in the PNW now? When the plague is over will you be teaching live classes in B'ham or elsewhere? Another master on youtube said to dispense with foam ones and go straight to wooden ones and take your lumps. He said the weight difference was an issue and no pain no gain. Do you concur? Thanks for the clear vids. To my fellow watchers I would say use the settings button and when you slow the playback speed way down it looks pretty clear as to what is happening.
Ty good advise that Button for slow playing. I practicing now for an year every day and in realy good in it now. I starten with foam till I Made my owns from wood. In all kinds. With a rope with a chain, 1 inch thinking 1,5 inch long rope , short rope. Better use with foam till u are realy fast and totaly idee to it.
I always train with 6.5 bamboo staffs,me being 5.8 and claymores,butterfly knife,throwing knives,trusty chain whip,rapiers,and a three sectional I just made. Cx
Do you have any thoughts on using Nunchucks as a way to warm up instead of the traditional jumprope, especially for combat sports? Skipping rope is great and takes skill, nunchucks take skill too but its possible to activate a calm alert attack defense mindset with the nunchucks. Any thoughts?
