I'd love to see a series of videos like using makeup that I havent used for ages. I dont have to be makeup updated with every new video, your collection is fantastic. It'd fun to watch rediscovering pearls within your own collection.😊
Not a beginner but definitely needed the finer points of blending and loved getting the names of the brushes. I could use a tutorial of all the makeup brushes. Thanks Morgan! ❤
Love this type of video from you Morgan. No matter how confident we are we can always learn something new. Thanks for your time making such a great video!!!💚💚💚💚
Thank you! I really appreciate that this tutorial is appropriate for 2024 styles. Most eyeshadow tutorials are very 2016, and in general so many makeup videos these days are focused on products over techniques.
The best way to learn. A small wing eyeliner is to use a small angle brush and start with a dark brown or black eyeshadow or Cole pencil and smudge it out You can start by stamping it on first it gets a nice straight line and then pull out the corner with the angled brush
Lovely video Morgan!!! I’m not supposed to be a begginer but I have enjoyed a lot revisiting the bases and reminding all is about blending blending and blending.👏👏👏
Hi beautiful lady Morgan, is good to know. Thank you for the advice, ladies let’s focus in this video, nice to learn new things specially us,that we love makeup 💄 know let’s keep watching 😊. Love you Morgan very talented lady😍🥰🌸🌞✨
Thanks Morgan! Also, for those who struggle with identifying their eye shape… literally look up tutorials for the eye shape you think you have, and follow it. I recommend trying tutorials for lots of eye shapes, and taking note of what you like/don’t like. That can give you ideas to experiment with, or just help you identify what your eye shape might be. I LOVE what she said about how eyes can have multiple “shapes” going on! I thought I had hooded eyes for the longest time, but they are actually deep-set and only very mildly hooded on ONE side (only one eye is mildly hooded). So then I looked up tips for asymmetrical eyes.
I started watching your videos in 2020 and that was when I started eyeshadow and have gotten the hang of things from trying to copying your looks, but this video was super useful in explaining everything and the essentials of eyeshadow! Will be saving this for reference
Another super video, dear Morgan!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩I'm not at all flawless with makeup, i'm not professional like you, also, not a beginner, so, i always embrace such video, to refresh my/our memory here, but also to send to other people!!! Super, thank you, have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed. I am a quiet watcher. However I have been searching as many of your videos as possible for eyeshadow brushes and beginner friendly tutorials. Love your teaching style. I have learned so much already. ❤
Not a beginner, but still learned a lot from this. Great video. Enjoyed learning some of the finer points of why certain things are done and the specifics of the brushes
Hi Morgan! I really enjoyed this video and have been wanting a breakdown like this for a long time You are an EXCELLENT teacher ( which I'm sure you hear all the time lol) I am 48 and am just now trying to learn how to do eyeshadow so I'm saving this video Would you please do a video on how to create an eye look for different popular pallettes I've watched you for about 3 years and I love your channel ❤️ Jamie-Alligator MS
You did a good job showing people with your kind of eye shape lids for this how to apply eyeshadow BUT, i have monolids cause I'm Asian and it doesn't apply to me unfortunately. I've asked many youtubers to somehow implement a few mins for those with monolids of how to apply but none has done it which is fine, I understand why they didnt do it. But how yoy explained it to people was great!
Thanks so much for doing this! I know beauty YTers have shied away from doing tutorials bc they say they don't get as much engagement as with other types of content but, even though I'm not completely new to this, I'm not as good at is as I'd like to be and need all the help I can get. I'm especially interested in learning about good techniques for down-turned eyes, which I'm having a hard time finding for some reason.
Have to put placement high too for deepset as our eyes can’t see eyeshadow either for deepset eyes like hooded but for different reasons! Eye primer is a must for me as Ireland is so humid n damp all year round oily deepset lids don’t like eyeshadow liner which is so annoying as it’s so flattering and handy! Love this video please do more educational ones
Great video! Would love some tutorials that are this in depth about other eyeshadow styles too! Such as halo, siren, doe eyes, etc. I’m not a beginner but this video brought up something I hadn’t put much thought into and that’s the corner placement and how it can lift vs make droopy eyes. I hadn’t thought about trying higher placement for different tricks! 😊
EXCELLENT video Morgan, I am impressed with the way the Lecturer side of you has come out. I think this tutorial for beginners is as good as the Nina Ubhi Channel. I think it would be a good idea for you to do more of these videos for the younger ones. I'm very impressed 👏 well done. Thank you, lovely 🥰 🌟
Thanks so much! I'm not a newbie with makeup, but have never been good at applying eyeshadow. Got some great tips. Can you do another video on how to apply eyeliner?
We always learn something new from you Morgan, the way you teach is so easy for any age range. I really really appreciate videos like this would love even more ❤
Thank you for this. I have a shader brush but had no idea what it was for. I’ve used it to blend my corrector or concealer. And thank you about patting instead of swiping with it. Mind you I usually use my finger. (And I apparently used a smudge brush to do it too a few weeks ago.) These were good tips.
Yay!! This is SOOOO appreciated for super new beginners like me. Love your videos, Morgan, you are a huge inspiration for me. Your teacher energy is really coming out today and i'm loving it. This chart on terminology has taught me more than anything I have ever learned in any other "beginner" video!!!
Blush placement depends on the shape of your face. If you want more of a high, cheekbone place it a lot higher up close to where you would put highlighter and blend it up to your temples. If you’re looking for a more full look with plump cheeks, then place it on the apples of your cheeks. For eye winged liner it’s best to practice with a kohl pencil and a small angled brush. It’s more forgiving and easier to do then liquid liner.
Thank you for the tutorial. Well presented and clear. I'd love a video on what is needed for a great basic day look. There are so any products now - lip primer, face primer, eye primer, highlighter, bronzer, contour, concealer, setting powder, setting spray. How many products does it make sense to use for an every day sort of look?
This is such an awesome video Morgan... this video will help so many people!!❤🥰👏🏻💄💋😘I have loved your brows for so long... I finally took the dive & had mine laminated & tinted & I loveeee them!! ☺️👀💓 I found a wonderful brow person & I'll continue doing this bc all I have to do is fill in a few spots & a little gel!!🩷💞🫶🏼💞🩷
I'm so bummed that pigmented color is 'out of style', I LOVE COLOR!!! I do neutrals as well, of course, but I just love the pops of color and feel like it makes my eyes really stand out.
Morgan, as an older viewer, I would appreciate your input on a particular problem I have with eyeshadow for my eyes. I have aged, hooded lids, not hooded mainly in the outer corner, but the hood hangs over the centre of my mobile lid. What type and placement of shadow would be most flattering?
My problem is that my eyes are so hooded my fold comes out a lot and it folds over even in the outer corner. I can never seem to get the outer v shape right to seem like my eye is a bit lifted and not as ugly at is 😅
Yes, Kimberly. I used it before and I think you are right, this might be the only way. And I think because with age, I am in my 40s, my eyes got not only more significantly hooded but also look downturn because of the fold 🙈 sometimes I just want easy breezy, out the door, but I can't seem to find an easy way that is either visible on my eyes or somewhat decent lol. The joy 😊 anyway, thanks so much 🙏
I would have liked to see the eyeliner application since I have a similar eye shape yo yours. Whenever I apply eyeliner and eyeshadow, I end up looking Asian. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is not my goal. I am just trying to open up my eye instead of elongating them. The eyeliner I do is basic, with no wings but I do not kwon what I am doing wrong :(. I hope your advises, thank you :)

Oh how i love love good Ol' makeup Tutorial!! Ty Morgan ❤ im def gonna send this to my G-Daughter too!
THANK YOU! Especially with the brushes! Everyone always says what brush they use but never the size how to hold... thanks! Do more please!
Ooh I've been struggling with eyeshadow!! Thanks Morgan💕
You look so beautiful Morgan!
Now we need a tutorial for a small wing eye liner please 🙏🏻🤣
The best way to learn. A small wing eyeliner is to use a small angle brush and start with a dark brown or black eyeshadow or Cole pencil and smudge it out You can start by stamping it on first it gets a nice straight line and then pull out the corner with the angled brush
Thank you thank you! I learned a hell of a lot I appreciate you doing a one size fits all eye. This was key for me as a beginner
Lovely video Morgan!!! I’m not supposed to be a begginer but I have enjoyed a lot revisiting the bases and reminding all is about blending blending and blending.👏👏👏

Amazing, simple, stunning. Really good beginners tutorial Morgan. 👏 You should make this a series.
You did a great job. The teacher in you really came out.
This was a great video Morgan!! Thank you!! I haven’t seen anyone do one of these in forever and you literally went in super detail!!! ❤
I love this video. These are the tutorials I'm waiting for! I save these for sure! Thank you so much Morgan! Please do more like this!? 😉
Not a beginner anymore, but I never miss a chance to spend a few minutes of my day with Morgan! Thank you for all the tips and the terminology 💕
You’re my favorite makeup girl! Even at my age a refresher course is still helpful! Thanks
Sharing this with my friends who wanted tips.
I’m not a beginner. I’ve been doing makeup/eyeshadow for 25 years! And you still taught me a lot! Great video!
I’d love it if you made this a series. I’m terrible at liquid eyeliner.
Not a beginner but love this video so much!!!! Great info and descriptions. Thank u!!!!
Love this video
Thank you for this tutorial! This is the best, most thorough one I've seen.
Great job Morgan! More of these tutorials please 😄

It's clear from this video that you were a great teacher 😀
I would also suggest trying shimmers with your finger for the most BANG and color pay off

@Cla51 😂 When I'm tired I'm more literal than usual -- I imagined someone putting eyeshadow on a kitty. 😅😂🐈⬛❤
I'm definitely not a beginner... But I love Morgan's videos, so I'm gonna watch!! 🩷

That was sooooooo well explained I’m grateful for u and appreciate u❤
Do u recommend synthetic brushes?
Maybe anybody can do it but your poor 76 year old Nana is having trouble. You did a great job .
My problem is that my eyes are so hooded my fold comes out a lot and it folds over even in the outer corner. I can never seem to get the outer v shape right to seem like my eye is a bit lifted and not as ugly at is 😅
I think this is where using tape comes in real handy.
@@marikanespoli6525 I’m 49 and have the hoods and downturn with the fold too. Gotta roll with the punches, lol 😂
True that 🤣

I know you don’t have a monolid but does your mom? If so, could you do a video or short with some techniques from her?
Sometimes the basics need to be restated, I mean we have people who don't even use foundation sponges correctly now
