    Great video, I used a o2 sensor socket instead of PVC, no modification needed as the side of the socket is removed to allow for the o2 sensor wires. Great job putting this out there.

      @@brian.d.mobley I was fumbling around like a jackass for a couple days trying to locally get a valve tool for my CB250 head only to realize I had the clamp vice and PVC at home the whole time.

      @@AllboroLCD Similar story for me. I needed to remove that valve but didn’t really want to buy a tool for a job Id rarely do. After looking at the tool and learning the procedures, I just started thinking that it couldn’t be too hard to rig something up. This video was the result of my contemplations and experiments!

    When you put the keepers in put a little grease on them and they will stay in place better.

    • @brian.d.mobley
      @brian.d.mobley  3 года назад

      Someone else mentioned that to me too! I’m obviously not taking full advantage of grease in lots of applications! Thanks for the good tip!

    After finding this video 5 months ago, I had the maintenance to try this for my SXF top end a couple days ago. I had a more difficult time with it, but still, it sure as shit works. I already had the vise and clamp, but my pipe fitting was $1.09. 😜
    Sure was nice to be able to clean the valves. They were a mess.

      Yeah! After the fact, I was thinking that adding a magnet would have also been a good option. But, at $.39, it still worked pretty well. Place a cap/plug on one end of the pvc and it would hold keepers from falling

      @@dinamostarter No problem! It’s funny. I was in the same boat as you - didn’t do a lot of valve work and just needed to get one set of valves out (for Vapor Blasting) and didn’t want to spend the money. So, I came up with this. I had a vice and lots of clamps so, for me, it was a cheap fix. After publishing this video, TBOLTUSA was kind enough to give me the valve tools so now I’m spoiled with the right tools for the job!
