Wow. I’m so envious. I was only 7 when Wings played in Adelaide. I recall standing outside listening with my cousins. I’m a massive fan. Well done on being there !
I usually avoid beetle talks, but I think Linda was a good musician while Yoyo, as evident during the 'SCUMBAG' ZAPPA GOT LENNOHNO 'BOTH' TO SCREAM AS SHE WAS TO A BLIND MAN - BEING REPEATEDLY TORTURED, MASSIVELY STABBED & PAINED AS SHE YODELLED AHH-AHHAHH! AHHHAHHAHAHHH.. AHHAAHHHHHHHH, AHHHH..AAHHH & KEPT HITTING ON SOME TRASHCAN LID OR SOMETHING WITH A TRADITIONAL, BENT TIRETOOL -LIKE I-TEM, REALLY SHOWED THE FUTURE OF MUSIC IN A COUPLES SENSE. SEE IT: ZAPPA & LENNON
Jimmy playing beautifully and Wings are excellent! I first heard Jimmy play when Ken Street Jnr a neighbour and acquaintance who was a group and fan club manager - of many bands like 'The Love Affair' and many others - even the 'Jimmy Hendrix Experience he had a Grundig tape pre-release of Thunderclap Newman's 'Something in the air'. Next time, an amateur group of musicians including me playing rhythm guitar had the great honour of Jimmy being invited by our vocalist who was an acquaintance of his. We also were invited to Jimmy's Dad's place near Tottenham, London. Both times Jimmy played superb lead guitar for our entertainment ! Apparently, Jimmy's dad had been a Big Band guitarist and had taught him. At the time, Jimmy said that his girlfriend was Lulu, the Scottish singer - this was about 1968. I immigrated to Australia in 1969 - and left behind wonderful musicians. So sad to hear that Jimmy passed away, so young, so talented RIP.
I love watching Little Jimmy leaping around on the stage in that red suit. I don’t care if he’s high or not. He’s very entertaining and his playing is spot on.
The Wings Over America tour of 1976 came soon after the '75 Australian tour. The set lists were very similar, except that Junior's Farm was pulled from the American set list and Speed of Sound songs were added. Surely Junior's Farm could've stayed, and say, Call Me Back Again could've been dropped. Oh well.
This, JET, Crackerbox Palace, Photograph, Give Me Love, My Sweet Lord & a few more post- Beatles trx outshine any Beatles songs in my home. They're fresh, hot, cryptic maybe & have a great joy to them - Linda was in WINGS- unlike Yoyo banging on a metal pot w/a stick & yodelling (as at the Zappa show in NY & a Yoyo w/Chuck going through shock. THAT maybe was a joke or something.
I don't really like the beetless, but solo material from each is strong: My Sweet Lord, Give Me Love, Cracker Box Palace Photograph, Sweet Sixteen, JET, Jr's Farm, Band On The Run, etc. All that stuff still has power & freshness.
So this is what it really sounded like, people :-) Not that polished up stuff from Rock Show and Wings Over America, where most vocals are dubbed in the studio :-)
I was there. It was a fabulous concert. Thanks
Get laid??

It's the least I could do. Glad you had a good time.
Amazing ❤
And Wings were flying high that night! What a band for the ages they were ❤RIP JIMMY

Yes they were very ......Stoned ...especially Jimmy but even Paul
My best friend was walking up to the concert and got picked up by Paul!! She got a special entrance. We were just kids!!

blah blah blah!

I have not see this wow this is just so coool :). !!!!! Thank you so much for showing this and take care !!!!
Lost Denny today .
50 years to the day of Band On The Run
You get the full Paul bass sound in Wings songs. People forget he is up there with Entwistle, Geddy, and JPJ.
Sublime!!!
I've been by Juniors Farm outside Nashville...nice country.
thank you

I agree 100%, I saw the 76th tour in the Cow Palace in San Francisco and I wondered why they didn't play Junior's Farm
Would have loved to have heard Juniors farm instead of Spirts of Ancient Egypt
Thanks
Just a fabulous band!
His MANY hits back then had me not paying attention to much else...
What good days and did not know it music has been going down hill look what we have now crap 😢😮
That's f **king brilliant.
Amazing ❤
Awesome Band!!! Best screamer in Rock n Roll and Jmmy McC is like what 19 here? Smoke Show!
Best screamer- you mean Steve Marriott, yes?
@@davedillon1372 Big humble pie fan! 😁
Damn! Jimmy is flying 3 sheets to the wind!👀
Bringin' it , boy...
Jimmy is on fire!
love..,
Classic song
Jimmy was well high on something!
Nice deduction, Heisenstein. Its almost as if he died of an overdose not long after
It's sad that there not in the Hall. I can name several bands that don't belong there
I heard on a podcast that Paul wasn’t a big fan of Jimmy running around on stage so by the American tour he was very stationary like Denny
But Paul moved a lot too you can see it a lot in the Silly Love Songs video from Rockshow.
@@justanotherrandomcrit8115 Paul didn’t run around like Jimmy doing lol
Jimmy's embarrassing here...dude is wasted...

Jimmy was so underrated.
No he wasn't, everybody thought he was great. He died early.
@@chriswesterfield2042not many people know about him
I actually like this one, Photograph, Crackerbox & other Solo releases so much more than almost all Beatles music! I don't know why, it just is.
Jimmy McCulloch what a Legend
I heard that Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings ...... probably just a rumor.
There stage presence back Then was like that of a Garage band...
Obviously they're all coke'd out. What a hoot.
They played good coked out and tripping. That's how Wings flew through the Cosmos.i just went along for the ride!
Jimmy is nutty
Shame they dropped "Juniors Farm" from the 76 tour
Like how they utilize a "phase-shifter" for the vocals...,unless they naturally sound like that!?
Need it more power in the intro guitar with that harmonies more overdrive or distortion like the one in the solo 👍🏼

Jimmy McCullough & Joe English heped him & his lovely Wife - the sane one that he shared his Life with- not the nut from later on.
What's with the slight delay in audio and video? Not nitpicking, just curious -- love this!
Paul's vocals were very good though the sound quality of the whole recording was fairly poor.
Jimmy sounded OK on Guitar.
RIP Jimmy

Never heard of the Beetless. The solo's you're referencing are former members of the greatest band ever, The Beatles
@@Bill-ku4mcSez you!
McCulloch was the best guitarist McCartney ever had. But he couldn't handle him.
No Harrison was.

they were just more polished by 1976, thats all. check out the live version in the studio in 1974. its pretty good, much better than this
Mostly Dennys backing vocals were dubbed according to Joe English
@@markv.5962 The guitar riff that drives the song (played by Denny?) in particular is very weak
You're right, of course.. but I bet it still sounded a million times better than this in the hall.
@@ThePosserman I'm sure of that. This seems a live feed from the mixing desk. They always sound dry as a bone.
something smells funny here. the audio is not in sync and performance is weak.
John Gotti Jr's Farm? 😂
Lead sounds pretty weak.
this was a clinker, I'm going to pretend I never saw this.
Messed up the lyrics ... even the best do it
This is horribly out of sync.
