I realized, after I started the cast-off row, that I was actually doing a crochet slip stitch. I switched out a crochet hook for the right needle, and AMAZING! So much easier!! Now, I’m sure that is very unconventional, so I apologize if I just cause more confusion. I just thought that might be a fun experiment for crossover crochet/knit people 😁

Just did the cast off on my tiny project. The most stress I've ever been in to this date. Definitely messed up in the middle where I confused myself 10x more than I already was but continued nonetheless to the last stitch which was the embodiment of stress. By then I had already wiled my shaky hands twice and somehow managed to pull through without messing up once again. The stitch isn't nearly up to standard but it works and I'm proud of myself. Definitely would recommend practicing casting off on a tiny knitted material instead of going directly to your project worth a few months.

Yea, I let the needle slip out cuz I was confused, but I had to pull the yarn thru the 2 unraveled spots.

Thank you, thank you and thank you. I'm about to start my journey with circular needles and needed to know how to cast/bind off for a simple scarf. Again, thank you for a clear and precise video!

My local yarn shop convinced me to buy circular needles; I was skeptical because I had never tried them. They said I would love them, and I really do! so much easier on your hands and arms and no worries of losing your project. And the ones I bought are so pretty!

I started a scarf at 5:44pm & just finished it using this video to teach Mr how to sign off the project. To be fair, the scarf was for a 20# dog. Knitted on 17mm needles using 7oz yarn. 3" (7 stitches) wide x 24"l . Haven't knitted in years but found Moms needles, yarn. Your instructions allowed me to finish, the part of knitting I didn't remember. THANK YOU!!! Making fringe for my dog scarf....😘
