“shes nice and slick and youve got these feral ones next door” FAVOURITE LINE FROM THIS VIDEO 😂😂😂 But seriously Meg, she’s gorgeous! such a good choice
I don't think Ardeo could be happier for Wilma to be with you. If only ALL horse owners could be like you. If only ALL horses we're treated so well. I know many are, but I'm saddened for those who aren't.
I think the lesson here is come to Ireland the country is full of beautiful young unspoilt horses for sale at reasonable prices by knowledgeable laid back equestrian experts 😂
She's so lovely! Her ear constantly flicking back shows how attentive she is, love how settled she was! Seems like such a good mix of curious, smart, and sensible. She's perfect for you and goes wonderfully! Ardeo did such a lovely job with her
Wonderful Wilma (aka Slick 😂) Can't wait to see the winter adventures over the next few months! She really is lovely, I'm sure her approval rating is sky high!
As someone who has bred a Connie/TB, I absolutely agree they are an amazing cross, especially for amateur eventers! They have the blood and heart of the TB with the disposition of the pony. And they are a really nice size for most people that don't need a giant horse! She's lovely and has been brought along so nicely as well. Congrats!!
A ONE in a life time Mare. I have never seen such a quiet horse like her in my entire life. I will explain! EVERY Horse and pony no matter how gentle and quiet they are , when introduced to their very first time forever home - they always get loud, they will yell out a bit, nicker a bit, whinny loudly time to time till they get settled. They also tend to breath nervously and very much on their tippy toes of their hooves with nervous pacing. This 6 year old mare did none of those. She was the most chillaxed mare i have ever seen in that exact situation. Yet she still remains looking super mentally sharp and very attentive. I maybe jumping ahead of self on this one but i really think you have a one in a life time Mare. I really mean it. A ONE in a life time Mare.
Would absolutely love to see your second viewing of Wilma. She’s just gorgeous and moves especially well under saddle. Looking forward to your future together-looks like a perfect fit!
Honestly I think my favorite part of the video was Pete’s introduction 😂😂 She’s stunning Meg, congratulations! Can’t wait to watch your journey together 🎉
Meg Wilma is absolutely stunning, you definitely made the right decision. She has a very kind eye, & a very good temperament, I loved the way she made herself at home straight off the lorry, I mean she never batted an eye. She looks like she’s been with you forever. Congratulations Meg, can’t wait to see your progress together x
I love Pete's comment of Wilma being 'Slick' 😂 I think that should be a nickname for her, lmao! Also love the Christmas 2023 Merch release. Glad to see Wilma has been making friends with Ari and Ettie! Hopefully she and Winnie will get along as well, because Wilma and Winnie's names do sound like a fun comedy act as well. 🤣
I was really thinking hard about a word other than „beautiful“ or „very nice“ until I heard Pete calling her „fancy“ - he absolutely nailed it! 😊 shoe does look very fancy ! Congratulations to this amazing find!
Lovely. She's the one I would have chosen. When you rode her in Ireland I thought she's the one. She rode so well and you felt really comfortable with her on the cross country fences. You made the right choice. 😊
So worth the wait Meg! An authentic, beautiful girl, with character, looks, and a kind eye. Ardeo did a lovely job of starting her. And it looks as if you two fit together already. Good things to come. Great choice. ❤ her!
She’s perfect and so calm and sensible for day 1 in her new home!!!! My pony took a week to settle down haha!! What a good brain she has and oh so beautiful 😍
The first Thoroughbred I had was listed on her JC papers as dark bay/brown. Just add a star and about a hand, and Wilma is quite like her. Wilma is beautiful, and you look so confident on her. Very nice to see! Here's hoping the fireworks don't upset her too much!
What an absolutely beautiful girl ❤ I’m so excited to see your journey together, you definitely found a little gem in Wilma! And she’s landed squarely on all four hooves with the Elphick family. Yes please to the second viewing video! I’m so happy for all of you xx
Oh Megan! Megan to Pete" So,what do you think of her then?". Pete " Well, she's less hairy!". I'm in stitches. That was soo funny. She is stunningly slick!!! 😎😎
Pete is so funny with that dry sense of humor, & loved how he gave her those little pats 😂.It is also so cool to have a boyfriend who is a photographer & will to work with Wilma from day 1. She is gorgeous I am ecstatic for you to get what you just wanted. SHE IS A GOOD GIRL FOR SURE. So happy your friend was there & gave you her good seal of approval. SORRY, I forgot how old you said she was. There is no feeling like getting the approval & PRAISE from everybody that is important to you. That just makes everything you feel about her reinforced & you are jusst glowing & grinning from ear to ear!!!! A big CONGRATULATIONS MEG, enjoy all your new adventures with Wilma❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊
Meg she’s a absolute amazing mover.🏇🏻The way she looks at you , you can see a happiness and comfortable feeling come over her even at this short time. She’s Beautiful & Slick lol and when you ride her there is a way she carries herself, like “ Im Loving This New Life ❤️ No spooks in the arena, not shy with meeting new people and horses. Very well adjusted and I can definitely see she’s bonding with you ❤️ all the best to you both 🏇🏻
She's beautiful, and I love the way she behaves in the field and under saddle. Lovely gaits...like the way she quickly adjusted to the "short" spacing in the poles and then expanded for the longer ones. Yes, yes, do want to see the second-viewing ride. I can just imagine what the feels like from the saddle. Sweet Wilma!
She looks like my max but he had a little star and a spot of white on his sox. He was dark bay but looks brown with dapples. Love her. Can’t wait to see the progress with her. 🐴
She's beautiful. Love the lighter muzzle and leg markings. She's so chill! Accepting of her new surroundings and stable mates. I think your right, she will do a very nice dressage test. Looking forward to the next few months of training. She is going to change physically as she gains more muscle and grows .
I love her, she's gorgeous. She's very calm and well-behaved. Her coat is like velvet. I got a little choked up when you hugged her. Brought me back to when I was a teen ager and got my horse. It was so long ago, but it brought back happy memories. Enjoy Wilma. I'm sure she will bring you years of happiness and love.
Wilma is amazing! I love her already. And I love how comfortable and confident Meg is on her. Ever since I saw her in the Ireland video, I knew she would be part of the top picks to choose from for Meg considering how she talked about her and how she seemed to be. I think she's an amazing addition to the family and I can't wait to see how everything goes with her! And it's amazing how well she's settled in already, like she was meant to be there all along. So happy for you Meg and I hope all the best for you two! 🥰
She is absolutely INCREDIBLE. She already looks insane and I can't wait to see what you guys will look like once you've gotten used to eachother, and i'm so excited to see you jump together
So exciting! Can't wait to see what the future holds for the both of you! Edit: She's so smart! Graceful, cute and incredibly polite with her excited but contained zoomy. How can one not fall in love with her from the get go 😍
She gets my vote; a really nice little horse. I’ve always thought TBxConnemara was a good cross. Good temperament, good manners and well schooled. Not a bit jealous! No, really, I’m a LOT jealous!
I thoroughly enjoyed your journey looking for the perfect horse in Ireland. She looks amazing with the best temperament. I am an older lady who has spent the past 14 months looking for the perfect cob but sadly I have not been as lucky as you. I look forward to seeing more of you and Wilma become the perfect partnership. Good Luck !
So many dreams have come true 😍. I have felt so over the moon excited for you and so honored to be taken along 🎉! This one is extra special. Wilma just floats, that and her cinnamon nose just does it for me. Please do show the 2nd viewing. ❤❤❤❤
Aww she is just stunning. You did a great job with her that first day Meg. Time to settle and then gently cracking on - think everything was perfect and how amazing was she in the school! Definitely the right choice, you will be perfect together 😍
Lovely mare, great mind, kind in nature and so chilled about life. She's been very well produced and I can see why you fell for her. She will have her moments as they all do but she's a keeper alright.
Beautiful horse! She looks so smart and chill - I'm sure you'll have loads of success with her. The wait for the new horse was definitely worth it. And yes, show us the second viewing!!
Wilma has settled in nicely Meg, you’re going to have so much fun with her, she’s so sweet and pretty, not forgetting shiny too lol, you made a great choice there, tfs x Julie
She's an absolute stunner! I adore the warmer brown bits by her nostrils and her upper leg. I would love to see a video about you talking us through why you bought her. Fantastic choice!❣
WIlma is perfect! I'd love to see the second viewing of her personally. Also I can't believe how feral looking Ettie has gotten with her not-so-little dreadlocks and giant forelock.
Oh she’s so lovely ❤ She suits you and fits right in with everyone. I really would love to see the second viewing. What made you pick her out of all the incredible horses you saw? Yes. All the questions!!! 🐎
She's beautiful! Nice choice. Thought they were all really nice choices but her going through the water in her paddock without hesitation was a real plus.
she is beautiful, she really looks like a TB. TB's are amazing horses, so so smart, sensible and will do anything for you, big hearts!! what a great combination! can't wait to see all your adventures!!
Shes amazing!!! All your fans in this household would LOVE to see your second viewing ❤ we knew from the moment you rode her she was the one you would come home with! You gelled sooo well ❤❤ xx

She looked amazing when you was riding her and she will be such an amazing event horse!! I can't wait for you to measure her and see how big she is. "Compared to your current ones she looks fancy" 😭😭 I love Pete's reaction, he's not mincing words 😅 It's as if Wilma has already been there forever, I can't wait to see your adventures together as they unfold!
I absolutely love her! 💖 She is just so sweet natured and such a stunning girl. I just felt from the moment you met her that there was something special there. That the 2 of you were so well matched and it just felt right. I feel as though magic will happen whenever you ride her, especially after training and bonding etc. I'm so excited for the future! I can't wait to see more of her. Love love love her! 💖
I've got a 9yo TB Riding Pony that I have had from 6mths, and Wilma already reminds me SO much of her. You guys are going to have such a wonderful life together!
I think it's important to ride them when you first get them home unless they didn't travel well. It's a great indicator of how they will react in a show setting. They don't get time to settle in at a show or to a lesson. Love this mare. She has a kind eye.
I live in Maryland, USA. I've ridden TB's almost exclusively since childhood because that is the predominant breed here in the Mid-Atlantic states. 15.3 is just right, though 16.1 is more common in my experience around these states with rich TB racing history. I know you will appreciate the TB intelligence and never say never attitude mixed in with your pony preference. Best wishes going forward. I'll be watching and enjoying you all from here.
She is into service-she loves to please-when you went to hug her after ride she was in a reverie about how she pleased you-I am so happy for you-she is bringing love to everyone-such suspension in her movement too ! She will be a natural in dressage ring !!!!!!
She’s so beautiful and carries herself so well for a young horse, after years of watching you it’s so heart warming that you have bought a horse from my area best of luck you two 🫶🏻
Wilma is lovely. I had 3/4 brown thoroughbred x1/4 cob, he looked showy but was a really safe, sensible horse who looked after his rider. He twice pulled back in the saddle when he could have so easily dropped his shoulder and let me fall. I wish you all the best with Wilma, she looks a good'un.
Our Wilma looks so much like my Sally did. Sally’s Galway Bay was a 1975 American thoroughbred with English and Irish forenames. A wonderful athlete and show horse, she gave me three fantastic sons as well. Perhaps Wilma and she share relations as they certainly share looks. I hope your horse brings you the wonderful times my Sally brought me.
So so pretty, I thought wow she looks about 16.2 until Pete stood next to her lol, She's an utter cutie and we cant wait to watch you guys getting out and about to fun things
Congratulations 😁 she's stunning. I used to part loan a tb x connie. He had a lot more pony in him than Miss Wilma, but I absolutely vouch for the mix as being great fun. He taught me so much! I now have a full tb. Can really see the tb in Wilma. The walk, the trot, the natural lower head carriage. Although...I hack out regularly with a traditional gypsy cob so my tb has a walk and trot that is very similar to the cob's 🤣 it was hilarious explaining that to the saddle fitter recently when they commented on her movement in trot 🤭 All the best with the new pony. Glad Jammy's doing well 🥰
I absolutely 💯 love her already! She's a beautiful mare. I knew she'd fit straight in! I said she would. X She is definitely more TB than Connie for sure, and I'd say she stands at 15.3hh. We all need a vote on that megs, and you get the stick out and give us the correct measurement... Anway, I'm so happy for you, lovely. Absolutely 100%, she is the correct choice for you. You seriously couldn't have picked any better 👌 well done team xxxx
such a lovely lovely mare, so gorgeous, anyone that thinks brown horses are boring needs to just sit down, so so lovely and YESSSS we NEED a "why Wilma" video debrief!
Wilma is a stunner!! I feel like this is going to be magical. I loved seeing Pete as well, it has been a long time. I would love to see the second viewing of Wilma aka slick.😊

A wonderful athlete and show horse, she gave me three fantastic sons as well. Perhaps Wilma and she share relations as they certainly share looks. I hope your horse brings you the wonderful times my Sally brought me.
Wilma is gorgeous. So pleased you've found her as she's such a great match for you.
Looking forward to seeing your progress over the winter.
So so pretty, I thought wow she looks about 16.2 until Pete stood next to her lol, She's an utter cutie and we cant wait to watch you guys getting out and about to fun things
She's so lovely! Sweet, kind, calm, beautiful. What a great addition.
if you pay attention to it, you can see arie and wilma have kinda similar faces. It’s adorable❤
Although...I hack out regularly with a traditional gypsy cob so my tb has a walk and trot that is very similar to the cob's 🤣 it was hilarious explaining that to the saddle fitter recently when they commented on her movement in trot 🤭
All the best with the new pony. Glad Jammy's doing well 🥰
I absolutely 💯 love her already! She's a beautiful mare. I knew she'd fit straight in! I said she would. X
She is definitely more TB than Connie for sure, and I'd say she stands at 15.3hh.
We all need a vote on that megs, and you get the stick out and give us the correct measurement...
Anway, I'm so happy for you, lovely. Absolutely 100%, she is the correct choice for you. You seriously couldn't have picked any better 👌 well done team xxxx
What an absolute gem! She’s stunning and seems to have such a good mind. What an amazing girl to add to the barn!
Her canter is soooooo lovely!! Looks really rhythmical. Definitely excited to see what you two do together. ❤

Awww she is so lovely! Whoelse needs a Wilma in their lives?! ❤😊
Wilma is a stunner!! I feel like this is going to be magical. I loved seeing Pete as well, it has been a long time. I would love to see the second viewing of Wilma aka slick.😊
