How lucky were we to spend a day with both Meg & Pete. These guys are such great company and so talented at what they do. We really enjoyed having them come behind the scenes and see what happens at Ardeo. It was so much fun, we didn't want the day to end. Meg you rode our horses so well and we look forward to part 2!
Hello from the U.S.! So great to see this video bc now I know where to go to get my next horse from overseas. I’ve done the Germany horse-shopping trip (many years ago now), but I think I’ll be heading to Ireland for the next trip…. I will definitely check out your website! Absolutely loved the mare at the end. Such scope! ❤❤❤
OMG! I was SO impressed with the place when you were horse shopping, but seeing more of it now and how it all works is beyond imagination. What lovely people. So many great things to say about the horses seen so far but I will say seeing Ruby on a shaggy pony, learning along side mum and dad is priceless. She could be riding a smart, clipped showy pony, but no, she's learning on a great little chap with character. That, in my book, says a huge amount about the parents.......perfect. Roll on part 2.....
Omg Ruby, what a wonderful place for you to grow up!! What a fantastic property, and so many lovely animals! Those dogs were adorable and every horse has such lovely eyes! They all look so sweet and engaged with life.
I need part 2 now🤣 your ability to ride so many different types of horses so well is amazing! I love the confidence Ardeo give you from the reassurance that the horses are a good match for your riding
Groundwork!!! Yes! I love to see this! Loved the chestnut gelding, he was gorgeous but also such a gentleman. I'm still rooting for you to someday get into the bigger horses. You looked perfect on him and he was so safe for you.
you are just the coolest young horseperson I have ever had the pleasure to know. I am almost 70 but I have learned so much from you. But I really appreciate you peeling back your life and showing me you as you are. And better help is super important. thanks.
Hate to say it, but you look really good on a 16.2hh!! 😂 You fit him PERFECTLY and looked super smart together! I totally understand the comfort zone though, I’m also a pony person and only upgraded to 15.3hh lol. But you guys really looked the part!
SO pleased you've approached the subject of anxiety! As we know, it affects ALL ages and as an instructor, I had therapy as a child for anxiety and depression. Horse riding helped me greatly. I now have a number of child clients with various forms of high anxiety. Well done! ❤
Meg and Pete, that was awesome…thank you for taking us along…they were so kind and informative and I love this type of vlog where you are experiencing this for the first time and we’re on the adventure with you! Loved this!! ❤
I love this series and I've been refreshing their site daily (multiple times) and obsessing over every new horse that comes in. Love seeing these partnerships.
Meg, I'm about to go riding in just a few hours, and I've had a bad fall recently, which knocked a ton of my confidence... Your videos really help me! I just love how honest you are, it really makes me feel better about everything 💕
LOVE seeing behind the scenes, can't wait for the next vid! What great folks the people at Ardeo are, clearly care so much about all of the horses they work with, great riders, brilliant philosophy and attitude. Very sweet to see little Ruby and her pony doing a great job with the jumps, already in training to help out! Proud that we have such wonderful horse people over here in Ireland. Was a fan of the chestnut but Bella the bay was *stunning*, her knees and pingy jump had me cheering :D
Thank you so much, Meg, for sharing that lovely message about therapy and making sure that people take care of themselves so they can take better care of the humans and animals around them. 💕 As a person who loves horses but cannot own or ride any of them currently, I've managed to combine my horsey time and therapy together by going to Equine Therapy. Going out in a paddock with horses and grooming them while talking through my troubles with my therapist helps me immensely. So to anyone reading this: No matter how small you might think your troubles may be, they matter. And BetterHelp can assist with that in a simple and effective way. And if merely talking with a therapist doesn't work for you, maybe look into other forms of Therapy like with animals and such. ❤ You are not alone.
Blimey meg, I hope you're able to have a bit of a 'filming holiday' with the absolute COLOSSAL amount of travel footage you've got going on! Jealous of your 2024 so far, looks amazing!
I absolutely love this! Would love a series to continue and maybe work with some of their clients on their journey from purchase to eventing or something… and see the horses being brought in too
Loved all the horses, but Ruby's lovely pony is more my speed (LOL)! I love Ardeo Sports Horses' philosophy and commitment to matching horse and rider! ❤
Wow thank you for sharing this very educational video. I often see this amazing yard on you tube Neil is a great gentleman and very calm , and his lovely talented wife and daughter Also a great facility, I am always sharing your horses with friends here in uk please do another day or another week 😂 the idea, of going out buying new stock would be ideal don’t be shy talking about money for example this horse , around £10,000 etc thank you team Arade😊😊
she prob wont talk abt money, because prices can be changed. A horse can be set at a certain price; e.g 14k, but depending on who wants to buy him, the price could ho up for a richer, more famous rider, or can be bartered down by parents for a kid
from that one little clip of you on the big bay mare, you looked awesome with her! so excited for the next one. your such an inspiration for what i strive to be one day. i also think it’s been so good for you to get on some different horses. you seem so much more confident with your skills which is awesome to see considering how good you really are!
If i’m ever on the hunt for a new horse (if i win the lottery to afford a new horse 😂) to be a competition horse and double up as a liberty horse then i will 100% be going to Ardeo. Such superb horsemanship from them and i can see the genuine love and passion they have for their job. And of course Meg, you did absolutely amazing riding all those horses so well. Loved seeing you going outside your comfort zone riding that gorgeous chestnut gelding! All round amazing and looking forward to the next video!!
Thank you so much for the video and the insight into Ardeo Sporthorses. I started following your vlog after I acquired a retired eventing horse. He had a stop at Ardeo before he went into professional eventing (he was with Holly Woodhead and Zara Tindall before he was sold to Germany). It's really great to see where it all started for him and to kinda meet the people who taught him the basics as a young horse. I can not thank you enough... looking forward to part two.
The new confidence we see in you Meg is so inspiring! You are really a gr8 horseperson and it is really gr8 watching your progress and become more and more confident! Really nice video! ❤
This is such a great vlog! I cannot wait for Part 2! And I must say, as a very low intermediate - this is like a dream to watch you try all these horses! If only I had a good enough level to even consider buying a horse like the ones Ardeo have! So much fun - thanks for all the content! And bravo to GraniteLensMedia (as always).
The first horse in the crossties had Tina's (of Life on The Left Rein) written all over it. Looked like a relative of Sir Banksy. Beautiful equines this couple have!!!!!

I think you should sweet talk megs mum and dad to put a bid in for the bay hehe.😝. Great vlog tfs 🏇🤗🏇
Arden must really rate you as a rider and see what we all see. Great job Meg, a real pinch me moment! I did say to myself who is this girl jumping a 16h chestnut?? Also, just wanted to say how much courage it took to open up about your previous mental health struggles xxxxx p.s you made my friends daughters life meeting you at the weekend and you told her that her pony way cute ❤ you’re such a positive role model to all ages xxxxx and lastly Ruby & Rocco 😍

Yeah, I did have one too many falls and just found that my heart wasn't in it anymore and I always regretted nit having the resources to work through that...and eventually devised to retire early from riding. I really do miss it and wish i could go back to it...but I'm afraid thst window has probably closed. Loved the fact Ruby has the freedom to ride with big horses whilst on her pony and boy that pony gave me stitch just watching it trot 😂 I know you like your ponies, but that 6yrold chestnut was absolutely the perfect horse for you to transit from ponies to horses, he looks an absolute confidence builder... I'd love him lol.... whatever you ride you make look amazing!! Can't wait for the next episode 😊😊😊 ( I hope you brought him back with you 🫣🤣🤣)
20:35 We are looking for a horse at the moment. And Hype literally ticks all the boxes, but unfortunately I live in Australia. But so cool seeing u ride him. It would be my dream to work for Arden Sport horses.
