@@kaamdev810 yes. All vocalists prefer to sing in a specific scale. For example Manna Dey liked to sing in the scale of D, while Kaushiki Chakraborty likes to sing in the scale of C. Which means for Kaushiki Chakraborty the root note will be C. Of course she will sing in different keys when the song requires that. Most of the Indian Classical Musicians can hit all the notes of these 3 octaves consistently. And there are many of them who can reach beyond these octaves.

You guys reaction is so beautiful ! Though i do not understand Indian classic so well thru you guys I've learnt alot to appreciate our Indian culture so much more ! Thank you !
Mr. Rick's reaction with closed eyes is the effect this music is meant to have on our minds. Losing ourselves and delving in our Self is the result of the Bhakti or devotion in the song. That artistry is what makes the singer a true wonder.
Hey guys as you r reacting to classical indian music n you finally react to mahesh kale , next please react on mahesh kale with rahul deshpande ( jugalbandi ).
Yeah I am hearing these just coz of you guys , n it amazes me equally coz there's no audience for middle class ppl for this classical stuff . @MaheshKale is master and monster in singing, such a humble human on earth in this Yuga. No one can match his range. I wish I could die listening to his voice, that is how I will achieve moksha, Tranquil !!!
SIR RICK you have great knowledge of almost everything.reactor i have seen they react, they just say what they liked about it or what they don't like about it, ya its fine that's why we watch them but whats unique about you that you tell us which we don't know like how difficult this and why its unique and thats why i can able appreciate things more. previously i saw this i am like ya a dude is singing, its good and ignored it but now when i watching this with you (kind of) and knowing something about this i loved it after understanding how great it is.i want to say many things but i can't because my English is not good but you can understand what i am trying to say. love you and korbin both😘😘😘
I really wish Rick learns the technicalities of Indian classical music. It will not just give him a deeper understanding and appreciate better, but will also open up a whole new world of senses and emotions to him, I promise. You guys definitely travel to Varanasi when you come to India and learn some music there. You don't come to India and not visit Varanasi. It doesn't happen! It's also the oldest city in the world.
Now that they have started reacting to classical dances and music, I find their reactions very superficial, barely scratching the surface. To understand Indian classical dance, music anything, a different sense is required. And most importantly a feeling of bhakti.
@@gargidhote Though I agree they have barely scratched the surface, I beg to disagree that their reactions are superficial. They are doing the best from how much they are able to understand and are genuinely trying to know more. Rick especially, understands music which helps him listen to it critically and although he doesn't understand it in depth, he surely understands what he doesn't understand yet. Now the sense and bhakti (devotion) you are talking about is not a prerequisite for appreciating it, but it is something the classical music and dance is supposed to generate in you by default. I understand where you are coming from and appreciate your love and understanding of classical music and therefore you are not ready to settle for anything less, but, dear, music reaction and music criticism are different things altogether. Not just classical stuff, I find their reactions pretty honest, and particularly respectful when it comes to the classical ones. :) The idea that classical is not for the masses isn't entirely true, has kept people away from it and denied it the wider respect it deserves. Having said that, as it spreads its reach, it is important to retain the very character of the art we see getting diminished with the disragard for the guru-shishya parampara (teacher-disciple tradition) and instant nature of classical performances these days.. with due respect to all the classical musicians out there. 🙏☺️
Commenting for the first time on this channel, but I have been following all your videos, big fan! @@shrutijoshi6677 thanks for explaining 🙏🤩so as you said the taal is divided according to grouping of beats ...that means there can be unlimited number of taals in tablas...but basically you are playing the 3 beat or 4 beat or 5 , 7, 9 beat rhythm right ?
@@OJESHKUMAR of course there can be many, but mostly teen taal, jhap taal, keherva, ek taal, etc are played, there might be something like fourteen taal with some infamous name I don't know yet but teen taal is as you said the most played and the most common one, then comes keherva, jhap taal ek taal etc
This is real indian classical music.. it is incredible 😍
The channel is called stupid reactions but u guys are one of the smartest Americans I have ever seen on RUclips. The articulate nature and understanding which transcends borders is genuinely heartwarming.
Just wait until you see zakir hussain mixing jazz with tabla.
OH! !
You guys are gonna get crazy over that.
Thus, "Hold My Chai" was born..
Spread it like fire..make it viral!
You two really are the best..the way you love and enjoy indian classical music has made me rediscover my love for it😍

Song from marathi movie " katyar kaljat ghusali " pls give reaction on this movie trailer...pls...and originally signing by mahesh kale...
*Korbin the note you hit while saying ‘2daayyyy’ shows your vocal versatility*
He won national award for this song. He is not only an outstanding singer but also an amazing human being as well. Very humble and sweet. He also holds two masters degrees in engineering!
5:12 from this moment my soul went out, traveled the cosmos and came back...
Yea I just get lost In the song
This is my most favorite Mahesh Kale song. It's "Aruni Kirani" from Marathi film "Katyar Kaaljat Ghusli". Maybe you could react to the actual song from the movie as well. All the songs in that movie are classical based
I was searching for it. Thanks
Halfway through the video I realised I forgot to breath. So in awe of him. Amazing video.
This is a sub type of Indian classical music known as "natya sangeet" this type of music is known mostly in Western state of Maharashtra t
Thankful really great voice of India.
Its lovely that you really appreciate Indian classical music. Thank you
Every time he sings this songs, my eyes can't help but tear up in joy. Indian classical music takes your soul to places you have never been to.
PLEASE watch Katyar Kaljat Ghusli.
The best thing is looking at how you both enjoy the Indian classical music!
He is a gem ❤️of Indian classical music
You guys reaction is so beautiful !

Kale so heartful As has been always...you guys so spiritually.....we all are connected.....thank you
React to movie katyar kaljat ghusali a movie with full of indian cultural songs some sung by Mahesh kale
Same suggestion from me as well 😊
thank u so much for this suggestion...❤️❤️❤️
Met him in person in San Jose, CA live concert. He is awesome and my best friend's close relative :)
Mr. Rick's reaction with closed eyes is the effect this music is meant to have on our minds. Losing ourselves and delving in our Self is the result of the Bhakti or devotion in the song. That artistry is what makes the singer a true wonder.
Hey guys as you r reacting to classical indian music n you finally react to mahesh kale , next please react on mahesh kale with rahul deshpande ( jugalbandi ).
hie guys I thing u like Indian classical music song ....thank you for respect..... we love u big hug from India💓
Yeah I am hearing these just coz of you guys , n it amazes me equally coz there's no audience for middle class ppl for this classical stuff . We r not all too busy in making a life than appreciating the art . However I appreciate that the south of India is still rooted to its old traditions n loving the art n Bengal too .
I bet everybody will have goosebumps after listening to him...its theurapetic...will relieve you from all your stress
Jai Hind...Jai Maharashtra...

Always like the classic music but seeing your interest in this genre makes me want to immerse in it completely 😊
Just like when I find people equally excited listening to diverse music
Rick: wow the music
Korben: wow, dam the stars are falling continuously.
😁
Thanks a lot guys.... Huge love for Mahesh kale... The youngest legend of Indian classical music
@MaheshKale is master and monster in singing, such a humble human on earth in this Yuga. No one can match his range. I wish I could die listening to his voice, that is how I will achieve moksha, Tranquil !!!
I have hardly seen any non-indians reacting to Indian classical music any better... Love you for loving us guys!! 🙏👍
Rick with his wide knowledge of music makes this worth watching
SIR RICK you have great knowledge of almost everything.reactor i have seen they react, they just say what they liked about it or what they don't like about it, ya its fine that's why we watch them but whats unique about you that you tell us which we don't know like how difficult this and why its unique and thats why i can able appreciate things more. previously i saw this i am like ya a dude is singing, its good and ignored it but now when i watching this with you (kind of) and knowing something about this i loved it after understanding how great it is.i want to say many things but i can't because my English is not good but you can understand what i am trying to say. love you and korbin both😘😘😘
Prem Kumar Yes, I absolutely understand 🙏🏼😊😘❤️

SIR RICK
😍😍😍😍😍
LOVE YOU
😘😘😘😘😘
I am glad you reacted to this👍👍👍👍
I found so many excellent artists by following you both! A big Thank you!!
The idea that classical is not for the masses isn't entirely true, has kept people away from it and denied it the wider respect it deserves. Having said that, as it spreads its reach, it is important to retain the very character of the art we see getting diminished with the disragard for the guru-shishya parampara (teacher-disciple tradition) and instant nature of classical performances these days.. with due respect to all the classical musicians out there. 🙏☺️
Finally they reached Mahesh sir😍😍😍it's amazing to hear
Commenting for the first time on this channel, but I have been following all your videos, big fan! My wife's a musician (Hindustani classical vocalist), so I can relate to the feeling of being connected/transported to another dimension during one of these live concerts. If you get a chance, please listen (and react, if possible) to the late Pt Bhimsen Joshi, one of the stalwarts of Indian music. The clip I'm referring to is "Pt Bhimsen Joshi Miyan Ki Malhar". Miyan ki Malhar is an afternoon melody that evokes the characteristics of the monsoon season.
I am a big fan of mahesh kale from karnataka
I can go on and on and on and on... Listening to the music.
What he does is " tarana" what we call in Hindustani classical vocal and it's commonly done by the people who possess such mastery. You should check out Rashid Khan, Ajoy Chakraborty (father of kaushiki Chakraborty), Ashvini Bhide Deshpande, Manjusha Patil and many others
Mahesh Kale Sir is just amazing.... Being a classical music student I just love him and he inspires me....thank you so much for reacting😊😊😊
P.S Rick sir pleeeeeaaaase post some video on your personal channel... It has been silent for days now 😣😣😣
