Actually it’s very nostalgic to see this reaction coz I was a part of this orchestra. I was in the violin section. This was the Sai symphony which was one of the only orchestra which was a fusion of western and Indian music!!! All the Indian musicians were the top classical Indian musicians in the country. @@parthamohan5891 no bro, bengalis also play dhol, but dhak is exclusively for pujas only. The dhol is played both in pujas and folk songs and festivals. The dhak is larger, and played with sticks instead of hands and is played only on one flat surface of the two present in the cylinder, while in dhol both the sides are played.

Hey guys.. You should listen to another percussion instrument called "DHAK" which is from West Bengal. It's an important element of Durga Puja.

I was there and it was EPIC... It was an orchestra with five movements
(if I remember correctly). It was about five years ago and consisted of
musicians from a lot of countries. Here's the full video, starting where
the orchestra approximately begins. It might seem a bit long but it's
    totally worth it (ruclips.net/video/OikkZgGwKUU/видео.html)

Konnakal is the art of performing percussion syllables verbally in Carnatic music it's so much to do with maths.👍👍 Most of the percussion instruments like ghatam, mridangam tabla and khanjira use these konnakal techniques
