Feeling Rasa is feeling the 'nectar' .. the essence of nature through music and Rick is so damn right on money when he explained the pastoral feel...this piece is based on actually based of Cowherds playing emotions while laying in lap of nature and cows grazing on a simple beautiful day.

You definitely know so much about Indian classical music by now including understanding that Tabla was being tuned. You won't believe but it's a big deal. The legend sitar maestro Pt. Ravishankar in an overseas concert, after he had tuned his sitar for a few minutes, the audience clapped wildly. Shankar paused and then said, “If you’ve enjoyed the tuning up so much, I hope you’ll enjoy the concert even more."

Rakesh Chaurasia on bansuri (North Indian Bamboo Flute). There are different sizes of bansuri for different scales (eg C, G, A etc). Each bansuri with its 6 holes can play 12 swaras (notes) and by changing speed of wind blowing produces 3 octaves.
Zakir Hissain is on Tabala. The bigger one produces baseline and smaller one produces notes.
There is are two different Indian classical music, north Indian and south Indian. There are hundreds of raagas in both system with some overlap. This knowledge was passed on from thousands of years. So there are no written compositions of raagas. Learners remember these compositions by heart. there are also improvisations and new composition.
