I think a weakness with most HYBE groups (especially TXT and Enhypen) is that they're vocals are regularly processed and flattened so much that I can't distinguish between the members.
@@crystalreed7624 I think bc they are a bit more rap focused and have singers with very unique voices like V and Jimin it is a less prevalent issue with BTS.
I'm an army and for the TXT weakness one, I can somewhat agree but mainly disagree. I think Bighit is trying to make them big like BTS but in separate ways. The production of Can't You See Me I think was a bit generic boy-group, not 100% BTS but generic and something that could get popular. As for Blue Hour, I think Bighit wasn't trying to replicate Dynamite, I think they were trying to make a catchy song that was following the trend as well. For me I don't see Bighit trying to replicate BTS, I think BTS just followed the trends and so did TXT. They're trying to spike up the popularity by making BTS and TXT both follow the trends. If you love Dynamite's retro theme, you'll probably like Blue Hour. If you'll like the darker theme of ON or Black Swan (even MOTS 7 as a whole), you'll enjoy Can't You See Me. I think recently though they stopped doing that since Butter is veryyyyy different from TXT's newest album.
I kind of agree with this. You really have to focus on the b-sides TXT themselves have a hand in to see the difference in their previous albums like Maze in the Mirror and songs like Ghosting. After all they do have some shared members in their production team and Bang PD is in both BTXT song credits. Also all the members had a hand in the current album which shows they have put their own unique vibe to it. Freeze is purely a TXT album and RM even adapted to that. 0x1 is for me not a BTS song.
Disagree with the TXT one, BigHit is really trying to remark that bts and txt are different especially musically, listen to the b-sides of the last album of TXT and you will find out that they are really different, especially with the rockish vibes that TXT is using right now... But I respect your opinion ❤️
I did love how when TXT debuted, they had THEIR OWN storyline and sound that was WAY different than Bangtan's. The only time both groups came out with a similar concept was with Blue Hour and Dynamite however I don't think that was TXT copying BTS. I think TXT was supposed to use that concept originally but when BTS heard Dynamite, they decided they wanted to record it and have a concept like that too. I loved both of those songs respectably and even with similar concepts, the songs sounded completely different from each other
Jajaj thats why after Jimin got names ir boy bighit Made articles calling YJ the new it boy? Or why lovesongs MV is literally a copy of I need You and run togrther? Or why BH uses BTS pagues to promote TXT? Stop denying it, Bighit is trying to turn them into BTS
@@universeyt7847 honey, stop talking like that especially when you're not following txt. 1st off, YJ was called an it boy because it was coined from the fans and literally everyone else because he was multi-talented, and have a good sense of fashion and dubbed as iconic by many. Bighit just go with the flow. In my years of being army, nobody really called jimin an it boy but if he did maybe he got called the 3rd gen it boy but that'll be vague as many in the 3rd gen are it boys too. YJ was called the 4th gen it boy, which again was coined by fans. 2nd) lovesongs is like i need u/run? Whut? The aesthetic is there, BECAUSE ITS A PUNK ROCK GENRE just like i need u and run is. The sound is very different from each other. The concept is similar because its YOUTH/BEING ADOLESCENTS/REBELLING/TRYING TO ESCAPE FROM REALITY which is only the similar thing, yet executed in different ways. WHICH, BY THE WAY, is not that mind blowing concept. A lot of artists have already done it. 3rd) what do you mean by that? Can you get me proof for that? If its literally the company page then of course, they would promote it there. If its the personal bts page like the twitter, then I guess that wouldnt concern anyone if bts themselves would want to promote txt.
@@iasked9392 he was called it boy as u said, bc of his fans and his fans started bc they wanted BH to have the it boy and the one from the 4th gen (embarasing that he needed to divide it in other to get it) but the title is not related with fans, skz fans also call Hyunjin it boy, and almost every group has a member wich fandom call it that way, the it boy thing is related to the numbers, ur brand reputation, how mucho impact u have and how mucho people looks up to you, until now YJ is low as hell in BR, I havent seen a single rookie or trainee using him as a roll model and his impacto with brands is almost imposible to notice, TXT fans also wanted Kai to be the next Golden maknae 😭 admit it, BH supports those ideas that he knows have no numbers as support bc they want TXT to have the same BTS got in an organic way, and TXT boys want the same and instead of working is making people start looking at them as wannabies and priviledged instead of the good and different group they were when they debuted
@@universeyt7847 idc idc, yeonjun 4th gen it boy and that's it. Txt is actually doing great but moa isn't being loud about it, and when they do, people drag the boys. Of course if you don't follow txt, you won't never know what's things are going on and how awesome they're doing :// You're speaking out of ignorance
As a Reveluv, I agree. Wendy has amazing stage presence all the time. The rest of the members are come and go. They look way too focused on the song and choreo and don’t seem to be having fun. This is definitely more prominent in their Velvet concepts as they usually have a lot of fun with their Red concepts. And this has been worsening since their debut. They all seemed really happy through Russian Roulette. After that, it felt like they started getting really serious about things. I think it had to do with a lot of hate (especially from the Rookie era).
I'm very curious to know if this happens because they are told to have a more serious and mature image for their velvet songs, that we lose the aspect of them looking like they're really having fun on stage for the red concepts, which usually elevates their stage presence a bit more
@@dearyoongi I feel like it’s a combination of things. This could include just the public being so negative towards them (as they are to everyone...) and that taking away the love, fun and passion of performing. It could also be nervousness, artistic direction, boredom of performing the same song 50 million times (it’s easier to not be bored fun it’s a fun song). But yeah, it’s a pattern I’ve noticed and seems to be more prevalent during their Velvet concepts. Like, they seemed a lot happier during Umpah Umpah and Sunny Side Up than Peekaboo and Bad Boy. I’d include Psycho, but I think that had to do more so with Wendy’s injury both while she was on hiatus and when they returned during SM Town (they probably were worried the entire night about how she’d feel while performing. But she stayed smiling the entire time. I was so happy! 😭🙌💙)
Completely agree with the Mamamoo one. It's sad that there aren't really any casual listeners and the haters always drag them even if the topic you are talking about is completely opposite. I get why some people decide not to stan them and I'll not change their opinions but some antis are really hypocrites for blaming the girls for stuff their groups also have done :/ Like, if you blame others for a thing and then you don't care if your faves have done the same then you don't really care about the problem in question.
100% agree with this! It's like do you people actually really care about the issues they're hating the girls for? Because I'm ngl I'm not convinced when they're not holding other groups accountable in the same way!
Another thing to say on the topic is that it feels kind of weird to me how Kpop fans take black cultural appropriation more seriously than appropriation of other cultures. Both are equally wrong, but if a group appropriates, say Desi culture, they will be forgiven a lot easier than if they appropriated black culture. It's something I have always seen and it doesn't make sense to me.
Mamamoo and BTS are actually the only groups that I know that has cultural appropriated, apologized and changed their ways so I don’t understand why people won’t just let it be in the past. It’s not like they’re still doin it.
@@Awmsies yeah BTS. Namjoon and Tae wore dreads and RM said the n word when he was covering a song and RM also said he couldn’t see Hobi and Tae in the dark when they first met because they were too black. But he apologized and changed his ways.

@@dearyoongi idk but what I’ve known txt preparer there cb for a long time an example is there newest cb they have been preparing for it for like 7months during blue hour era so it possible that they were preparing blue hour waay befor
@@dearyoongi BTS didn't write Dyna. That song was found for them. TXT are usually preparing for a new cb before their promotions are finished for their currant one so Yes. It was a coincidence but the trend at the time was retro so It simply happened that way.
@Kyra Nimbalkar I didn't say TXT 'copied them' did I?😊 I simply pointed out the similarities in the songs their company had them release at a similar time, because it worked when BTS did it.
This might just be me, but as you said in part one, I also miss the old BTS songs I first fell in love with but when I heard TXT, yes, they reminded me of all those amazing songs BTS used to make and I feel like TXT is giving me what I don't think BTS can/will anymore. But that was when I first listened to them, now, I don't get reminded of BTS anymore, instead, I realized that I had just fallen in love with their songs in the same way I had first fallen in love with BTS. Now, I love both TXT and BTS and don't compare them at all.
omg this is exactly me, i’m not afraid to say i loved BTS old songs more (and i’m pretty sure when people say that they mean the HYYH, WINGS and LY lol). still i’m happy that they have become successful and changed their music somehow, and happy that i have TXT now with all the songs and concept that feels youthful and relatable (which do remind me of those BTS era but are still good and meaningful on their own)
I think that Dreamcatcher's sound changed a lot. The dystopia arc in particular was very successful bringing a lot of new fans while experimenting a lot with their sound. Of course is not a complete 180 but it brings them a lot of uniqueness.
I definitely see this too! I can definitely see a difference because I wasn't so much a fan of their earlier releases but have really been enjoying their more recent ones! It's nice to see them able to change it up a little even still within the rock genre.
totally agree with this. i wasn't a fan of their earlier releases, but i really got hooked starting the dystopia arc. i eventually came to love their earlier releases after becoming a stan, but i felt that their voices back then hadn't matured enough to fit the concept / production was lacking. that's why i totally enjoyed their concert video of their old songs because you could see how much they've grown as artists (Leez and Ollounder included).
@@dearyoongi I would like to add that the rock genre was Siyeon's idea and every member has said that they'd like to stick with their current genre. But if you're looking for something different, their b-sides delve into other genres. Some song don't have and rock/metal influences at all.
I personally think TXT had processed vocals for The Dream Chapter Star, and you couldn’t really tell their voices apart. After TDCEternity, you can now tell voices apart clearly. Especially in Blue Hour and 0X1 Lovesong. I absolutely do not hear BTS in them at all. Blue Hour was retro - so was like 90% of other kpop groups in that three month period. Dynamite may have kicked off that retro theme but I think everyone started doing retro. But everyone has their own opinions!
Hybe needs to SERIOUSLY stop adding so much autotune to their songs. Their vocalists aren't "weak" and the only reason why stans underestimate their vocals is because of the autotune. I wish the groups would get to show off their vocals without that heavy layer of unrealistic effects. Also, I kind of like I-DLE's variety of concepts. Just my opinion though, I like it when groups do many concepts.
i think txt's weakness is that the members don't have strong individual brands. like i know what txt is but to this day i could not name a member, they all sing and dance well but in a way that doesn't stand out. which isn't a bad thing if you're a fan but most top groups do manage to highlight at least some members as individuals, which makes them more memorable as a whole. mamamoo i feel like their songs are actually pretty bland, the girls carry them so well but the base of them is actually pretty weak. also their concepts seem to have this taste of humour that doesn't translate as well to western fans, i think that's holding them back internationally.
that is a great point on txt I wouldn't have thought of, and I can see it too! I'm not a MOA (just more of a causal listener), and I've got to be honest I don't think I could put all the members' names to their faces 🙈 I hope hype work more on building their personal branding images in future because it could really help them grow even more! and as for mamamoo ofc I'm a stan so I love their music, but I completely understand why you may feel that way! Perhaps it could be that the reason they aren't bigger in the west is because of this too🤔
I would kindly disagree with the TXT opinion. Bighit does promote them individually. Yeonjun was a model for New York fashion week and even acted. Soobin rn is a MC. Taehyun and Hueningkai both were DJ’s. Beomgyu as well too but a different radio and plus both Beomgyu and Kai are producers. They all have distinct voices from each other besides Beomgyu and Soobin who sound a bit similar. And the member that usually stands out to the public is Yeonjun but at the same time he doesn’t stand out too much whereas he overshadows the rest of the group.
@@yahir8383 my comment was more about their musical releases, i only casually keep up with them so fair enough. i just feel like their songs and choreos don't really have highlights that make you go "oh that guy!" in the same way a lot of other groups do
@@fisticuffs12 really? That’s interesting. I mean it’s your opinion, but personally I think that they’ve done so many genres that showcase their vocals in many different ways. For choreo I can kinda see what you mean although they do still have their highlight moves like puma when Yeonjun stands on top of two members. But the reason I kinda agree with you on the choreo part is because they are performers that work together as a group a lot and are very synchronized.
@@fisticuffs12 I'll disagree with your opinion. TXT has their own distinguishable traits. Taehyun is known as the group's powerhouse that is normally in charge of the high notes, Hueningkai is known for his voice which is best utilized in songs that are leaning towards the rock genre, Yeonjun is usually the one doing the background adlibs and is well known for his amazing riffs and runs, Soobin has a nice soft and breathy voice and is mainly in charge of the group's falsetto, Beomgyu is great at rapping and also has a soft like Soobin, one thing that sets them apart is that Beomgyu is more dreamy and soothing whilst Soobin has much more softness into his voice.
(G)I-DLE seems to tell a story line with different sounds. I always like them because of there different sounds. If you listen a follow throughout the era you can see why I believe it’s a story line Latata:fell in love with a boy and would do anything for him Hann(alone):founds out he is a cheater and don’t really care about you Señorita:getting your revenge on him by tricking him to love you again Uh-oh:he wants you back but you already moved on Lion:telling a guy you don’t need him and you are more powerful than him Oh My God:Disobeying and finding someone new you love aka a girl I feel like dumdi dumdi was just a fun song and wasn’t part the story line Hwaa:your love is growing for that person and letting go of your past relationship that made you stop loving This what I believe
i think for the rv stage presence thing is that some members do better for red and some for velvet. thats also the reason why they arent very synchronized. yeri serves for red and irene serves for velvet but they dont fit as well in opposite. but they always do put on a great show.
i disagree with the txt opinion (as do many others) but i might have a little bit of a different perspective. for me, i'm a pretty new moa. i started listening to kpop at the beginning of 2020 and started on txt a few weeks ago. the reason i didn't listen to txt for so long wasn't because i didn't know about them, it was literally BECAUSE i didn't want to listen to bts 2.0. i just simply wasn't interested in hearing the same type of song and concept bts had (i listen to bts' old music btw. this is not referring to only dynamite and butter) done by txt. however, when i finally listened to some of txt's songs (i believe the first was crown) i realized that my bias against txt was unjustified. txt's music is not even remotely the same as bts'. even their concept is so wildly different. also got7 is not disbanded! they still plan on making music together in the future, they are just focusing on solo careers atm
Imagine this. You're in Turkey, maybe at a market in Istanbul buying something. You're talking to the lady at the counter and having a nice chat in English. She asks if you would like a bag for your purchase. "Um..." you say, thinking about it. Her face turns red. She snatches the package back, shoves your money back at you, turns her back on you. What did you do wrong? You don't know, but she's furious at you all of a sudden. You don't know why because a moment ago you were chatting with her pleasantly. You say, "I'm so sorry miss, did I do something wrong?" She is so angry she won't reply. Just imagine how you'd feel. Confused? Why would this happen? Well, in Turkey, the rudest word you can say -- it's kind of the like the c-word in English -- is basically "um." It's pronounced a little bit differently, but more or less, "um" is the c-word. So that lady was mad at you for accidentally cursing at her. You had no idea, but she is still angry. Who is right in that situation? It's natural that she'd be angry, but you'd hope that she would also understand and accept your apology, since you really didn't know. Once you know that "um" is a rude word in Turkey, it's your job to try not to accidentally say it. Thankfully, most Turkish people are very reasonable and friendly and understand that we just don't know how to speak Turkish and aren't cursing on purpose! Ok, now imagine a new situation. You're in Thailand, and you go to a temple to look at how beautiful it is. Many people are sitting on the floor, contemplating Buddha. You decide to join them and sit down on the floor too. You're gazing at Buddha, starting to feel peaceful, smelling the incense and thinking about things, when you notice that a few people are looking at you funny. You aren't sure why, because you're not the only foreigner there and the other foreigners aren't getting weird looks. You're dressed appropriately, so it's not that. What could be wrong? The funny looks get worse and worse. More and more locals, and even some other foreigners, are pointing at you, shaking their heads. Finally, a man comes and tells you angrily that you have to leave right now for disrespecting the Buddha. You start to cry. What did you do wrong? No one will tell you. You're so confused. As far as you know, you're doing everything right. What's wrong???? Explanation: In many parts of Asia, showing the bottoms of your feet is rude, and it's very rude to point the bottom of your feet toward the Buddha. If you were sitting in such a way that the bottom of your feet pointed toward Buddha, you would be being extremely disrespectful. Most of the time, people learn about this from guide books and know not to do it, but if you didn't read the right section of a guide book and no one told you, you might accidentally do something that is almost unforgiveably rude. My point is this: customs are different around the world. What is normal and polite in some areas is unforgiveabley awful in others. If you were in one of the situations above, and you accidentally did something really rude, you'd want to apologize and hopefully be forgiven once you learn what not to do. Of course, if you know that "um" is a rude word and say it anyway, and go ahead and sit with your feet facing Buddha even though you know not to, then, yeah, you deserve all the angry looks. But if you just don't KNOW, you'd want to be forgiven, right? That's why I get sad about the Mamamoo situation. Blackface is only offensive because of the American history of minstrel shows. Mamamoo had no idea that there was anything wrong with dressing up as a member of a different race because they come from a colonized culture, not a colonizing one. The girls in the group didn't know the long and awful history of racism in the United States. Korea is a super homogenous society, with basically no minority groups. That's why so many people have the same family name. And the girls also dress up like men, like dogs, and like bottles of ketchup! They were just being silly when they dressed up like Bruno Mars and darkened their skin. They weren't trying to mock him, or black people in general. They like Bruno Mars! They were putting on a costume, and didn't understand why darkening your skin would be any more offensive than wearing colored contact lenses or a wig. Once people explained, they apologized and have never done anything like that again. I just don't think that something done without ill intent should be so unforgiveable. but if you want to live in a world where there is no forgiveness, then I mean, go for it. It must be a harsh and lonely world for you. I sure hope that if and when you make a mistake with all of the best intentions, that people treat you better than you've treated Mamamoo.
But to add my own opinion, I think 4th gen groups will try and do this new trend of having “no” or very little positions to cover up their lacking. It’s becoming “more performance” than actual singing/rapping talent. Not to say that these groups aren’t talented because they most certainty are, but often times I’m wondering what their position is because they all kind of blend in together.
Ooh thank you for adding your own too omg I definitely agree with this too! There's often times now with newer groups where I have to look up online who is actually in what positions because there's either so much overlap or it's just not clear at all😮
tbh it's not like dreamcatcher can't experiment within the rock concept, and at the same time the girls seem to enjoy it!! especially more than minx...
i feel like they did that with i-land so it could get more viewers (which kinda makes sense) but not with enhypen as a group its self update on this a month later: i worded that pretty wrongly, they tried to push on many other popular hybe label artists on i-land on the show itself just for the sake of more viewers
I think that BTS and TxT's music sound very different, maybe some songs can have similar things, because some BTS songs were co-produce by TxT's main producer, Slow Rabbit. But most of them are very different
Dreamcatcher just needs to transition concepts smoothly. Their recent concepts have incorporated rock, metal, trap, EDM, dubstep, screamo, etc. if they want to transition into another concept, there are three main places I could see them going into (genre-wise): Classical Rock, Alternative Rock or Emo/Punk They could transition from rock to alternative to pop music. Or from Emo/Punk to more of a girl crush concept which would lead to pop. Once there, they’d have a little more freedom. If their company decided to pull a Cube and have them do a complete 180, they’d alienate all of their fans. And I’m sure we all know which girl group I’m referring to the changed concepts for the better, but Cube kept flip flopping between cute and girl crush out of not knowing what they were doing. I’m expecting Light Sum’s next comeback to be horror themed at this point because Cube has proven time and time again that they don’t understand the marketing behind concept decisions.
I agree, a smooth transition of concepts is definitely doable and would probably be the safer option! Like you said, there have been companies that did a complete 180 and pulled it off (now if only they kept that momentum up 👀), but a smoother transition is a lot safer when you're already in a more out there category. Oh gosh ikr, even though it seems Light Sum's concept so far is a cute one, I thought the same when CLC debuted and now look. I think we've learnt at this point not to trust Cube any further than we could throw them😂
@@dearyoongi Like, it’s painfully obvious that CLC has had enough and will disband next year. Sorn literally had to put a powerpoint presentation together to convince Cube to let them continue doing girl crush concepts after Hobgoblin because they hated the cute ones that they were forced to do after. If they’d stuck with girl crush songs, they potentially could’ve rivaled Blackpink who mainly do the same thing.
CLC basically aren't even idols anymore and it breaks my cheshire heart..... Sorn's just a full time tiktoker while the other 5 are just doing their own thing honestly 😭 I miss Elkie lots but I'm so glad she was able to escape cube
I feel like I kinda see ur point with Monsta X when looking at some of there title tracks like "Shoot out", "Hero", "Alligator", "Jealousy"... They are my ult group and seriously underrated and with those few title tracks being their most popular songs I can see where you're coming from. However their "rookie-releases" were extremely unique and they have some incredibly unique comebacks. Also (I feel like everyone who knows MX will agree here) : They have one the best all-rounders in the industry (esp. Jooheon) and they have a perfect dynamic. Every member is extremely unique and their albums are all so good. I feel like the b-sides esp. tend to be more beloved by monebebe and like you mentioned with (G) - Idle they produce and write a lot of their own music. I.m and Jooheon have writing credits on every song (correct me if I'm wrong) and Jooheon recently even produced their new title track. Almost all the members have solo works and they as a group had to face so many struggles yet still remain so strong. Wonho has successfully come back on his own (he also partook a lot in making Music for the group and now makes most his own stuff) and he proofs his worth. I also feel like MX are one of the "realest" groups out there (if you look at statements from them and their general honesty towards their fans). I know I might sound biased (and sure am) but I feel like many people don't realize how awesome they really are when they don't stan them and see them as another average group when they are (imo) one of the best performers and artists out there. BTW: Jooheon and I.M both are in the top 10 of the most copywrited idols. This is all just my opinion feel free to disagree, I just wanted to give some inside from a fan's perspective.
B-B-B-B-BLUE HOUR... DYNANITE...??? 😭😭😭 I KNOW THIS IS YOUR OPINION BUT HOW LMAO WHEN I THINK OF BLUE HOUR IT REMINDS MORE OF CLOUDS, FLUFFY THINGS AND PASTEL COLORS AND WHEN I THINK OF DYNAMITE I USAULLY THINK OF MORE OF LIKE A SUMMERISH RETRO VIBE...?? YOU GET MY DRIFT RIGHT
I think actually that txt remind me of shinee. I think the music ur hearing from them that reminds you of bts are the ones that are produced mostly by their in house producer like p dogg and slow rabbit.
I don't think HYBE intended to have TXT copy BTS with Blue Hour. When BTS came out with Dynamite, they would talk about it by saying "when we heard the song..." which means they heard the demo. I think HYBE was looking for a song for TXT and BTS happened to hear Dynamite and just asked to take that song. Then TXT finally found what they wanted with Blue Hour. I do agree with you on the BTS covers (they shouldn't have to do THAT many...) but I don't think TXT was copying BTS when it came to Dynamite and Blue Hour.
For everytime that txt has covered bts, itzy has covered twice and got7 yet I don’t see anyone having a problem with that and let me not even get into atz
I respect your opinion but I have to respectfully disagree about TXT. They're glaringly different from BTS from the beginning in terms of sound, concept, etc. The only similarities they have are modes of promotions-having a group twitter, Weverse, albums in series, storylines, To-Do is like Run BTS, T:Times are like Bangtan Bombs and I can't blame BigHit for using a formula that worked for them. However, sound-wise and concept-wise, they couldn't be more different. Plus, Blue Hour and Dynamite are very different for me, and it's a bit unfair to say TXT copied their concept when everyone was doing retro at that time. Plus, when I listen to songs from other concepts, e.g. SM, I saw a lot of similarities with their songs. It's like a company stamp. The songs aren't necessarily copy and paste but there are moments that remind you of other SM songs. And there's nothing wrong with that, because you can see each group having their own identity.
hybe is pushing txt to the point where they r releasing 4 albums in a yr + an ost + a concert...idk what is hybe trying to do with them but i hope they let them grow on their own pace because txt deserves to be successful and to be recognised for their hardwork. each member is so talented and has their own qualities. i hope i they become thousand times more successful than they r rn..
JYP WASTED GOT7s POTENTIAL SO MUCH! People love to argue that “JYP isn’t the CEO anymore DONT blame him” but…the kicker is….he’s still one of the most influential people behind the scenes of JYP like he’s still on the credits on most of his artists songs (not sure about stray kids tho..) and Jay Park has said multiple times that JYP does not like when his boy groups have the potential to be bigger than him. Got7 we’re at their PEAK in like 2015 and 2016 they had the same international popularity as BTS around 2015 I saw them everywhere on Vine and RUclips. Idk wtf happened it’s like they just disappeared after 2017?!? If that makes sense??? Like they were there but they weren’t, is the best way I can explain it. It REALLY sucks because I just reUlted them back in 2019 and now they’re not disbanded just on different paths at the moment :/
I enjoyed the video and I respect your take on things, but I do wanna comment on dreamcatcher’s weakness. I… don’t think it’s necessarily a weakness. I think having a sound can be good for groups because it will guarantee they have a steady fanbase who’ll come for more. I believe a lot of groups suffer from trying to be versatile, like CLC had one hit title track and everyone was anticipating their next comeback which could’ve saved the group but it fell apart because it sounded too different. I think dreamcatcher’s biggest weakness is actually their group name, its causing controversy which is why I don’t think they’ll really grow.
im a moarmy and i dont really get it when people say txt remind them of bts...like both grps have totally different concepts. (or it might just be bc i have been following them since the beginning and i pretty much know how both groups' concept develop/progress?) and also october of last year when blue hour came out, other songs also had similar vibes like seventeen's homerun, gfriend's mago, and mamamoo's dingga... so it's really not a bts 2.0 thing well, just my take on this particular topic lol
For mamamoo yeah agree to it a little bit ... But i think their main weakness is rbw. Rbw doesnt want them to be an international group , they never take any serious measures to promote them overseas,if they were promoted well they could have been as popular and respected as bts and bp give the talent they have and their aura charisma and their ability to have fun on stage and command the audience
GOT7 haven't disbanded. They aren't in the same company but they still have the GOT7 trademark, not JYP. Kinda like how Beast became Highlight except the losing members part
I feel like hybe saw bts getting fame because of their story like songs and concepts and try to use this formula on every single group they have. But it actually makes me sad because even though using the old way they are holding back & keeping the concepts in control. I don't know how to explain this but when I watch txt or enhypen mvs I feel the concept but at the same time there is something that bugs me like there is something missing. It make me disappointed more than non concept songs because I'm a big concept lover, my ult bias groups are vixx and bap, I'm used to watching concept groups like vixx, bap, boyfriend, nuest, history, t-ara, cross gene, myname and they gave me the taste of well made concepts but when groups build an expectation and don't satisfy to the fullest it make me dislike the song since they give big hopes just to crush afterwards

I actually feel like the company is making TXT a Shinee 2.0? experimental sound and focus on eye-catching fashion pieces. They're not really copying SHinee but I feel they are inspired by Shinee's career
I get what you mean but the dynamite and blue hour, though we can argue that many groups were doing the similar concepts. But I feel they are very different
But I think TXT is growing rapidly. I think that they’ve officially grown out of their “Army”-phase (you know, when a lot of army’s became their fans predebut-crown era.) and successful created their own fandom color, MOA. And their concerts are very unique and not necessarily similar to Bts to me (except blue hour, but I’ll forgive it since it’s a bop). Plus, both songs could’ve been made around the same time since that was the trend. I heard someone say that one member (I think it was Taehyun) has similar vocal editing style to Jimin, so that’s probably why you thought that about CYSM, but honestly I still can’t really see a semblance between the two. I really think TXT has grown and will grow even more in the near future!
Thank you so much for commenting this so respectfully, honestly I appreciate it and it helps explain I lot! I completely agree about TXT's ability to grow in future, and I really hope they do!
Many people are saying this too but I disagree with txt one. I don't want to write it cuz I don't want you to get tired of the same comment, but thank you for being respectful Personally i became a moa two months after becoming an army. I had no idea about txt, that they were eunder hybe, that they were named as second bts and didn't even knew they existed so I really got surprised when poeple called them second bts. Tbh I don't think txt has any weakness. All members are all-rounders, their music is great, and the memebers personality is awesome. I don't want to say about their strength because if I wanted to I have to type for hours because they are too many. Idk, maybe I'm just being biased. But please listen to txt's new album, it's coming out tomorrow so please support them they deserve it.
I think that (G) I-DLE's concept (and the thing that makes me to love them so much) is "multi-cultural influenced music". I mean, each one of their songs has some kind of different sounds (for example, the tribal and indian sounds of HANN, HWAA DUMDI DUMDI, and, maybe, LATATA; hip-hop influenced beats, like Uh-Oh, powerful and kind of "royal" sounds like LION and OH MY GOD and Spanish music, like Señorita).
for red velvet, i get it what you mean with their stage presence being their main weakness but i think now their biggest weakness is sm and their lack of promotion:( during this queedom era, i really feel like they were all enjoying being on stage (after a long time) but it was so short? and they didn't even had the chance to promote the album... and that sucks a lot😔
Not a G(Idle) stan but I feel their "weakness" mentioned here is a strength. I like that they can (self) produce different tracks. while that can put them at risk for being a hit-or-miss, their releasing consistently good tracks is a feat on its own. i'd say their weakness is much more similar to Mamamoo's "bad reputation"
Amazing video but I need to correct you in a small thing GOT7 did not disband, the members have been promoting their solo careers now but they have said that they re planning comebacks as a group and many more projects from them as GOT7
Aw thank you so much! I've spoken about this with a few others in the comments too, the main reason I said disbanded is because they were no longer active as a group together under a label and I personally wasn't expecting a future from them as got7 anymore! However, if they do plan a comeback and album etc then I'll happily take it back😊
kinda disagree about idle . i personally love how they change it up every comeback-i see "always bringing something different to the table" as a good thing. i don't really think any group needs to have a set "concept" as that would be boring, as we've seen with momoland.. at least in my opinion. for idle i kind of feel like never knowing what you're gonna get with them is exciting and on brand for them
also for the mamamoo opinion its totally up to the minority groups they offended, if another group does something offensive the minority groups dont have to accpect their apologies, but if they want to they can just obviously hold them accountable, that also goes for moomoos, yeah sure you can stan them just of course, hold them accountable, but black kpop stans still have every right to be angry and dont have to really accoect their apologies if they dont want to
I mentioned this in the video 😊 the main point is people who choose to only be offended the one time the girls did it, but ignore the MULTIPLE times other groups do it...bc that doesn't make any sense
@@frifondo oh 100% I'd never disagree with that. But it just seems like a LOT of people hold mamamoo more accountable than other groups, which is not okay
I think all the members have left jyp but not officially said that got7 have disbanded or are over (but if I'm very honest they're all so busy with their own thing I'll be very surprised if they do carry on!)
I only like wheein, so I don't find a reason to Stan a group If you only like one person there, that's why I only listen to the comeback song of mamamoo and if I like it, good, If I don't, just go next group
Dynamite= blue hour In need You/ run= love song Bighit started with an amazing and different concept for TXT, but after they couldn't blow up as fast as they expected they changed into a BTS 2.0, is not only the work, is the fact that BH is always linking TXT to BTS
Everyone and their mama did retro/disco in 2020? With that logic twice is also a bts 2.0 because can't stop me is the same vibe but if we really go there bts would be a dua lipa or the weeknd 2.0 because those two artists really made retro popular last year. And the only similarities your other argument has is the growing pains of teenagers and coming of age. Which is a quite universal thing for all of humanity to go through. I hope you have the same energy for groups that were actually marketed a bts 2.0 and who keep doing concepts eerily similar to past bts songs. But txt isn't one of them.

The only thing I don't like about dreamcatcher is they dominate the dark concept for girls but I don't see much difference in their songs when it comes to concepts, they do have different story in every song but they're more in the safe side. It's my opinion but I see them as girl version of vixx who started from the bottom as well and become a legend thanks to their dark concepts, it would be so good to see dreamcatcher girls experimenting more dark elements and trying more extreme concepts as well
I can't see any connections between txt and bts. Literally nothing, their music is COMPLETELY different and choreography’s are as well. If I just got into kpop I would NEVER be able to tell txt are under the same agency as BTS. Like, in JYP, SM, YG you can CLEARLY tell what groups that are under the same agency. Especially YG, literally all their music sound the same and the choreography’s are the same lmao. Just look at treasure and ikon. Treasure are like a copy of ikon but with more and younger idols😭💀
I think the main reason why people don’t forgive mamamoo is because they are women. Because boy groups have done a lot worse than what mamamoo have done and people forgave them even though they may not have even apologised. Groups like nct & bts, i am not trying to hate on bts and nct i love and stan both groups. I am also not trying to undermine what the culturally insensitive thing that all these groups have done. I am black and i am obviously very disappointed that members of these groups have been so disrespectful to the black and poc community. However, it seems that the people who are mostly angry and these groups aren’t even part of the community of people who were offended 🙂
Most of the time their intention is not even racism or bring awareness to this topic. They just don't like the girls and they found a reason to hate. Those who were offended rightfully aren't the ones sending hate 99% of the time. This is just an excuse for the haters to spread hate
got7 didnt disband...😁 anyways..they out of jyp...so lets support them to the fullest in their solo and group projects...check out yugyeom bambam and jayb's solo albums...😁😁
Apologies for the wording being incorrect, but I personally dont see them doing much together as a group again (hence the confusion). They're all busy with their own paths 😊
I think a weakness with most HYBE groups (especially TXT and Enhypen) is that they're vocals are regularly processed and flattened so much that I can't distinguish between the members.
NO BECAUSE SERIOUSLY I'm still a fairly new moa so it's hard for me anyways but... txt all just... kinda sound the same to me....
what about bts
@@crystalreed7624 I think bc they are a bit more rap focused and have singers with very unique voices like V and Jimin it is a less prevalent issue with BTS.
@@wackymacky6507 ahh yeah
@@wackymacky6507 honestly this is one of the reason why I just can't get into txt
@@Nicholi86 I agree with your opinion as well
@Aditya Srivastava Agreed

I get why some people decide not to stan them and I'll not change their opinions but some antis are really hypocrites for blaming the girls for stuff their groups also have done :/
Like, if you blame others for a thing and then you don't care if your faves have done the same then you don't really care about the problem in question.

Latata:fell in love with a boy and would do anything for him
Hann(alone):founds out he is a cheater and don’t really care about you
Señorita:getting your revenge on him by tricking him to love you again
Uh-oh:he wants you back but you already moved on
Lion:telling a guy you don’t need him and you are more powerful than him
Oh My God:Disobeying and finding someone new you love aka a girl
I feel like dumdi dumdi was just a fun song and wasn’t part the story line
Hwaa:your love is growing for that person and letting go of your past relationship that made you stop loving

i disagree with the txt opinion (as do many others) but i might have a little bit of a different perspective. for me, i'm a pretty new moa. i started listening to kpop at the beginning of 2020 and started on txt a few weeks ago. the reason i didn't listen to txt for so long wasn't because i didn't know about them, it was literally BECAUSE i didn't want to listen to bts 2.0. i just simply wasn't interested in hearing the same type of song and concept bts had (i listen to bts' old music btw. this is not referring to only dynamite and butter) done by txt. however, when i finally listened to some of txt's songs (i believe the first was crown) i realized that my bias against txt was unjustified. txt's music is not even remotely the same as bts'. even their concept is so wildly different.
also got7 is not disbanded! they still plan on making music together in the future, they are just focusing on solo careers atm
I wish more people could see this comment, because it is so well written thank you!
@@dearyoongi thank you!! xoxo
You wrote it so nicely......Wow😮
I wish I could make people read this
But to add my own opinion, I think 4th gen groups will try and do this new trend of having “no” or very little positions to cover up their lacking.
I'd love to see them experiment within the rock concept, and you're right they seem super happy!😁
I fully disagree with the txt opinion but I respect u for being respectful to them thank u for the great video 😙
Thank so much for such a mature comment I really appreciate it!🥺

i feel that hibe is trying to make enhypen "the new bts" and not txt but idk
i feel like they did that with i-land so it could get more viewers (which kinda makes sense) but not with enhypen as a group its self
update on this a month later: i worded that pretty wrongly, they tried to push on many other popular hybe label artists on i-land on the show itself just for the sake of more viewers
It's hybe :)
I think that BTS and TxT's music sound very different, maybe some songs can have similar things, because some BTS songs were co-produce by TxT's main producer, Slow Rabbit. But most of them are very different
Dreamcatcher just needs to transition concepts smoothly. Their recent concepts have incorporated rock, metal, trap, EDM, dubstep, screamo, etc. if they want to transition into another concept, there are three main places I could see them going into (genre-wise):
Classical Rock, Alternative Rock or Emo/Punk
They could transition from rock to alternative to pop music.
YOU GET MY DRIFT RIGHT
Right lmao blue hour is a fantasy concept and dynamite is a retro/disco concept....I literally cannot fathom how people think they're "the same"
Right 😂...I don't get why people say they sound the same.... They are literally so different
(or it might just be bc i have been following them since the beginning and i pretty much know how both groups' concept develop/progress?)
and also october of last year when blue hour came out, other songs also had similar vibes like seventeen's homerun, gfriend's mago, and mamamoo's dingga... so it's really not a bts 2.0 thing
well, just my take on this particular topic lol
For mamamoo yeah agree to it a little bit ...
But i think their main weakness is rbw.
Rbw doesnt want them to be an international group , they never take any serious measures to promote them overseas,if they were promoted well they could have been as popular and respected as bts and bp give the talent they have and their aura charisma and their ability to have
fun on stage and command the audience
True
I was waiting for my favs to come up but could you possibly do Seventeen next time??
They are probably just not your cup of tea.
I’d love to see Seventeen in the next edition!
It's the "monster x" for me
I knoww😭 honestly my voiceover hates saying anything that isn't spelt in like a standard English way, the nightmare I have with some names 🙈
@@dearyoongi no bc daniel is a bitch,, what i combat this with is spelling things really wrong, try mons-tah its how i get him to say tae right by spelling it teh. also heads up daniel cant say kai. he says heuning right but not kai and idk why
I actually feel like the company is making TXT a Shinee 2.0? experimental sound and focus on eye-catching fashion pieces. They're not really copying SHinee but I feel they are inspired by Shinee's career
That's pretty much any group who is experimental, I don't think it's shinee 2.0
I don't want to write it cuz I don't want you to get tired of the same comment, but thank you for being respectful
Personally i became a moa two months after becoming an army.
But please listen to txt's new album, it's coming out tomorrow so please support them they deserve it.
thank you for commenting this so respectfully, I really appreciate it!💖
Idk, I've felt that TXT gives me a more SHINee vibe than BTS-
Can you pls do AleXa in the next one?
Ooh yes definitely, thank you!!
MAMAMOO VOCAL QUEENS PERIODT
FACTS 👏 ONLY 👏
Amazing video but I need to correct you in a small thing
GOT7 did not disband, the members have been promoting their solo careers now but they have said that they re planning comebacks as a group and many more projects from them as GOT7
Aw thank you so much!
I've spoken about this with a few others in the comments too, the main reason I said disbanded is because they were no longer active as a group together under a label and I personally wasn't expecting a future from them as got7 anymore! However, if they do plan a comeback and album etc then I'll happily take it back😊
I saw the thumbnail I clicked ..y good videos are always underrated??????......
Thank you so much omg!💖
Txt reminds me of shinee not bts. I dont know what but they just have this shinee vibe
Please do seventeen next thanks
sure, I'd love to! 😊
kinda disagree about idle . i personally love how they change it up every comeback-i see "always bringing something different to the table" as a good thing. i don't really think any group needs to have a set "concept" as that would be boring, as we've seen with momoland.. at least in my opinion. for idle i kind of feel like never knowing what you're gonna get with them is exciting and on brand for them
also for the mamamoo opinion its totally up to the minority groups they offended, if another group does something offensive the minority groups dont have to accpect their apologies, but if they want to they can just obviously hold them accountable, that also goes for moomoos, yeah sure you can stan them just of course, hold them accountable, but black kpop stans still have every right to be angry and dont have to really accoect their apologies if they dont want to
I mentioned this in the video 😊 the main point is people who choose to only be offended the one time the girls did it, but ignore the MULTIPLE times other groups do it...bc that doesn't make any sense
@@dearyoongi true in that aspect i agree but in the end we should hold EVERYNE accountable, yknow?
@@frifondo oh 100% I'd never disagree with that. But it just seems like a LOT of people hold mamamoo more accountable than other groups, which is not okay

They didn’t disband, but they are taking a year to do their individual things before working as got7 again.
Literally agreed with GOT7s weakness. Such a waste honestly.
It was :( think of all the content we would have gotten (which they were more than happy to do too!)
red velvet concept >>
Please talk about Astro in your next video!
Ooh I'd love to, thank you for the suggestion!
I only like wheein, so I don't find a reason to Stan a group If you only like one person there, that's why I only listen to the comeback song of mamamoo and if I like it, good, If I don't, just go next group
Dynamite= blue hour
In need You/ run= love song
Bighit started with an amazing and different concept for TXT, but after they couldn't blow up as fast as they expected they changed into a BTS 2.0, is not only the work, is the fact that BH is always linking TXT to BTS
@@masTEARpiece i'm not talking about the music style, lovesong has simal scenes, style, vibe, aesthetic, the MV is literally RUN and IND, u can easily find a Lot of scenes dhowing the same

@@masTEARpiece ignoring vibe, aesthetic, and outfit, we still have 1 the scenes in the car, the scenes running, the scenes with the fire, the fighting scene, and before u saying "OMG a Lot of songs blah blah" mention 1 single song that has all those elements in just one song

You do sound exactly like that fandom with your they copied the outfits and the they are in a car! They are running! There is fire???
This is just laughable and actually really sad.
This is just an excuse for the haters to spread hate
got7 didnt disband...😁
anyways..they out of jyp...so lets support them to the fullest in their solo and group projects...check out yugyeom bambam and jayb's solo albums...😁😁
